- yes, still very reliable when done correctly and verified clean/flowed stock decaps can provide plenty of reliable fuel for 500whp turbo project or even if you have a wild all motor setup.

Ran decapps for years on as much as 26psi boost. Never had a problem
Man I'm still rocking decaps. Two years running in the daily. I still can't seem to trim out enough at idle on pump gas. E85 is totally fine, but I guess the resolution just isn't there in my set for that little of fuel 🤷
Rocked decapps on my 2.0 WRX on e85 back in the day. Worked great!

5.0 coyote injectors work great decapped also. I've done 4 sets and they were all perfect with only 8. Eric tested 1 set of them I riggedly tested the others
We've got decaps in a 6l .620 lift cam ly6 heads pistons hx60 4psi to start 2 oem fuel pumps... Right around 80% duty cycle .. Around e10
Funny that you mention Subarus because I'm doing a kinda sloppy Subaru thing but I jammed LS truck decaps into it. Just reamed the holes in the lower manifold until the 14mm o-ring fit nicely, topped it with an ebay fuel rail. Just on low boost so far, but it's running good. I flow tested them best I could on a basic autool tester machine, best of 8 is handy on a 4 cylinder. Should be around 830cc, should be able to make ~400hp on the ebay 20g for like 2k$ total into the engine and everything.

Honestly kinda forgot about decaps. I'm gonna decap my LY6 and L94 injectors I got lying around and have him flow em now. Thatll be one less thing slowing me down.
This makes me wonder why 16 decaps have never become a thing.
I'm thinking about sending him a set of 2015 through 2017 mustang gt injectors they are like 40lbs. LS presure

Off subject. But im building a ls harness for a term x. For the cam and crank sensors, do you run a two wire sheilde cable or just a one wire sheilded for the ipu ground? Where does the sheilded side of the cable ground to typically?
-903s are pretty common and amazing. 90lbs when decapped and thats enough for 800whp on gas easily
How do you program these in the terminator x? Do you still just put in the pn off the side ?
yeah you chose the stock injector and then just change the size, like these are roughly 75lb after decapping and there is a size amount in the holley you can easily adjust, so then after all that it has the stock data with the larger flow rate, works perfect

so we know the modified flow rate from the test sheet, what do we do about the rest of the injector pulse width table data? does that change after decapping?

People wear decapping subaru injectors?! I never heard that. 😮
I think basically anything sidefeed is going to be a decapped, or otherwise modified stock injector. Even fancy Injector Dynamics injectors are basically an advanced decap.
The first time I ever heard of decapping was in the late 2000's in the turbo Subaru scene.
TFW literally no tuners around will tune decapped injectors..😢
More info is better but saying no one will touch it isn't right.

@@StationroadRatrods entirely possible... Could be that they've done them in the past and got tired of guys coming in without getting them tested and we're bad then got complaints or whatever. I was gonna buy a bench flowed set and even let them know I've got papers for them and still got told no
Use the stock injector data and up the flow rate to the worst flowing injector in a tested batch. That way every injector fuels at least as much as the worst one.
Examples:
Stock GM LS PCM, 29 LB truck injectors decapped, and the worst one flows 75 lb:
In hptuners update the flow rate table from 29 to 75. Leave all other injector data the same. The electrical timing doesn't change with decapping.
Holley EFI, 42 lb Bosch 5.0 Coyote injectors decapped, and the worst one flows 95 lb:
Select the stock Ford injector part number, then change the flow rate to 95.
"Tuners" don't want to use decaps because if they haven't been flowed, and one is way off, that's a big problem.
