I happened to run into Joe and his lovely wife at his house. He took time out of his busy day to go over this entire car and let me get in and rev it up a few times. Hearing that beast gets your heart pumping!. He explained to me that instead of telling you how many square inches a compartment has-he just says you can put a box of twinkies in there. I thought that was brilliant. His video's are thorough yet to the point and move right along.

Joe, I loved this review. First off I love hearing you talk about this C8-I could tell you genuinely were having fun. I can’t believe this is only $80,000 as configured. Just think of all the massive $72,000 SUVS you’ve been showing, most filled with lots of plastic on the interior and then think for basically the same price you get this amazing design and engineering. I know, no one cross-shops an SUV and a vette, but you would think this would be well over $100,000. I love everything about it, including that blue color!

Incredible! The character of the C8 Corvette seems to change depending on the paint. The C8 has to be seen in person regardless of color. Your description of the new Corvette as a "jet fighter" is perfect - the C8 Corvette iss a jet fighter that never leaves the ground! Thank you for another excellent review.

I’ve been watching a ton of C8 reviews recently. Only a few have done it in this bright racing blue. I bet it looks even more gorgeous in person!
I went to a Car’s&Coffee today and there was tons of C8’s there. They were all silver, black, red, and white. Would have loved to see one in this color. I’m a staunch Ford man but this C8 tugs at my heart strings!!

Dude I love your reviews! I’m a car enthusiast and just ran into your channel! On point, fast, no extra annoying stuff, no talking about door handles for 10m like some other channels, right “on throttle”!!! Amazing! I’m hooked!
I know people say what an awesome value these cars are but with all the options you are well over $80K+. It’s crazy how much cars have gone up in the last 10-15 years. I just cannot imagine spending that much on a Corvette. I paid $47K for an 11 month old used C7 that had 2200 miles, Z51 package, magnetic ride control, black wheels, PDR, manual trans, and the car had almost the full warranty left.
I make good money but I can’t imagine having a big car payment. $80K car loan at 60 months and 3.5% is almost $1500 a month not factoring in insurance.

Well first thing‘s first, to answer the title‘s question, a clear and emphatic YES ! It is.
I am still in disbelief about the Corvette C8 and what it is and represents, it‘s significance can‘t possibly be overstated.
It is indeed the most meaningful and significant sports car in recent history and is well positioned to indeed remain just that for many years too come. Definitely the sports car of the new decade.
You have to step up to a 700 + hp McLaren 720s to gain an edge over it, and that is in the 60-130 mph , topspeed and other primarily high speed related performance metrics, simply due to it having more hp.
In the 0-60 department, overall handling capabilities and especially low speed low rpm elasticity, and revv-band /range usability, it will easily hang !
What makes all of this even more incredible and outright surreal, is not just the price/performance ratio, that has always been excellent with Corvettes!, what‘s utterly insane is the fact that this is the „base“ model that we‘re talking here. This is just the beginning.
All the hype, praise and success that the Corvette C8 has received is indeed well deserved.
I admire that and laude and applaude the American automotive industry for what they have delivered and given the world and automotive enthusiast with the Corvette C8, hands down.
I conclude with long-winded comment with a sincere and heartfelt, God Bless America!

This is a great sports car! HANDS DOWN best for the money. But, I think it is a stretch when people compare this to like a Lamborghini Huracan, Ferrari 458, some AMG's like the GT, etc. I have never driven a C8 so I don't know for sure! But amazing review! Always solid.
Thats my exact spec I have on order!! I have the black trident wheels and red interior but everything else is spot on. I've been on 3000 status since March

@@stephenreed3381 GM had production shut down for 9 more days this past month so my car is delayed again. I talked to my dealer and they said it should arrive next month. I will post a video on my channel when the car arrives.
Your enthusiasm for the car was most entertaining...nice to see someone critique the car for what it is...which is a hell of a car for the money. Great video, I know there are other terrific sports cars out there, but I doubt any can come close to this one for the price! 👍🏻

One of my buddy friends have ordered his own C8 Z51 but all Black Edition. I'm also looking forward to get my 1st Corvette as a C8 hopefully next year & add it to my collection with my 2019 Chevy Silvarado & 2014 Ford Mustang C/S 👌🏼 ( I'm going to probably go with the Shadow Grey Metallic for the new Corvette C8 Z51 package )

What an AMAZING machine! Again, Joe you background knowledge on these cars never ceases to amaze. With the rumors of the Corvette team being moved to the electric car division I really, really hope this C8 platform gets the life and the variants it deserves. It would be a crying shame if it did not.

@@richardmorris7063 "Technically" Rich, it's not wrapped. It's a spray-on vinyl. Same product but a whole different animal. It's applied just like if you were to have it painted. It'll be interesting to see if it catches on in that it still won't outlast paint and would have to be re-done. The unique part about it is that it can be removed like a traditional wrap application. Save the Wave🙋🏼♂️

I had the C7 and I really like the look. I wasn't sure if I liked the C8 until I saw the C8 live at a dealer's. It looks stunning in both the Rapid Blue and the Artic White.
Liking the new Vette. Hopefully their still affordable in 5 years when I'm ready to purchase an American performance car. Worse case I should be able to find a well maintained used one. Thanks for the vid Joe!

That C8 Corvette is an amazing car and this was a great review for it. It seems perfectly balanced. The only car I ever saw take off that fast from a dead stop, was a 1970 442 W30.

Absolutely love the C8 and I will own one in a few years. The 3 things I change on mine right away are: new wheels cause I'm not a fan of any of the factory options, must get the big wing option on it, and change the exhaust tips. On the ones I've seen with circle tips makes the rear look a lot better. Great review Joe and you should order Lori a 2021
Joes's analogies are just killing it. The center arm rest can fit 3 twinkies but don't go for 4 you'll get the cream all out of it. The Zorro button will make you go "Full Tilt Boggie". Let's share an "Eargasm". I saw this review before going to sleep and was cracking up. When I woke up I wanted to see the review again. This review was on point and "On Throttle" 💯
Favorite part is how this car is driver focused. I wished the BMW Supra went with a similar design.
