  • Nonsurgical rhinoplasty, or liquid rhinoplasty, is a technique where filler is used to make aesthetic changes to the nose. In this video, I cover some important things to know about the procedure, including who is a candidate, what aesthetic changes can be made with filler, and what to expect afterwards.

    Hi doctor,
I really want to do this procedure but a little bit afraid of the rare complications.
Is using a cannula instead of a regular needle is a better option to avoid getting into an artery ?

I think it's completely appropriate to be cautious before jumping into a procedure. I don't use a cannula for the nose, though I do use cannulas for filler in other parts of the face. Even with a needle, there are techniques to reduce the risk of injecting into an artery that any experienced injector should be familiar with, and there are also protocols in case an intravascular injection does occur. A cannula is great when covering a large surface area (like the undereyes, cheek, or lip). For the nose, there are only a few insertion points, so a needle works well.
