You are REALLY GOOD at complicating things !!!
lmfao
Someone probably already suggested this but I'm too lazy to scroll down: add a 'separate XYZ' node before the Gradient Texture and connect it to the 'Z' and you won't have to tinker with mapping. You'll need to apply the rotation of the object if you haven't already.
thank you lol
I really appreciate your tutorials and tips, your channel and videos are what inspired me to try my own animated series. Thank you! I wish you all the best and success in everything you set out to do in the future!
Showing multiple methods is so important for workflow, thank you!
Oh baby, more of this. I have been really digging into node based texturing/procedural texturing.
Awesome to see you rocking my Nile Croc sculpt, looks great! Fantastic tutorial
Thanks for sharing! Just recently learned about procedural texturing and having a hard time figuring to do the face mask. Would like more video like this!
Really digging your animation style.
I definitely learned to go ahead. 🙃
Jokes aside, amazing video as always! Thanks for sharing the fruits of your hard work!
one of the most informative blender videos ive seen.
bro u helped so much to understand the nodes. thank you
this is literally gold!!!!
Your last few videos have been really helpful and insightful.
Nice tricks, thanks for sharing!
This was pretty informative stuff
Thank you! Very helpful
I had a sub to Substance that I had to cancel. This is such a great overview of how to achieve similar results with Blender, thanks so much!!
This is amazing!
Great tutorial, great contribution. You have my like Thank you so much. Greetings
Great format! Comparing Blender's functionality to that of the best softs in the industry works very well for all kinds of users and devs. Would be very interesting to see the rendering comparison in terms of realism between.. say Cycles and Octane or Corona...
great tutorial! all i could hear was ambient INCLUSION thou haha
Same lol😂
Great video thank you, can't believe Blender has gotten so good in the past ten years - not that it wasn't amazing already !
I really want to know how to achieve texture similar to SP in Blender, and your video answered my question. thanks
thanks that was really useful
didnt know about the bevel node,Tnx
Nice one
Cool!
thanks for the vid. I was wondering what is the addon to the little sqaures on top of nodes to shoow the results of the changes in color ?
If you do want to hand paint things, a really good way to go about it is to do paintovers in 2d and then project those onto the 3d object. If you only need to see the object from one angle, it's really efficient.
Use box projection for your grunge maps, with some blending to avoid too much stretching.
In your material window how do you get the thumbnails above each node like that?
around 13:40 you are switching the input into the mix. It disconnects one of the inputs. I noticed this as well recenlty in blender. normally it would swap them correct? or I am going crazy?
Hello, Thank you very much for this video. Maybe you've tried Armorpaint, how good it will be.
Use Sheen to create dust
If i want the node whether its texture or color or ... to effect specific parts like only nose or only lips or only tip of the fingers what should i do ? How can u mask the effect of the nodes to show in a specific parts? If u could point me in the right direction :)
7:36 awesome😊
Where do i get the glass texture from?
Love your mic. Which one is it?
Благодарю!
how do you get those squares in the shader editor ?
how to see material preview coming top of node?
so do u like substance painter any better?
Wow
What about UV mapping ?
I got a question, I just downloaded blender 4.0.2 and the "PRINCIPLED BSDF" is a little different, under "Transmission" I only got weight, not "Transmission roughness", do I need to use another BSDF, or is it under another node? I'm tring to obtain a similar effect as on the glass bottle.
Should include substance painter in the title
Why do you keep saying "ambient inclusion node"?:))) On a serious note, really great tutorial and I love your Crafty Asset Materials, very helpful. Cheers!
He's going to confuse the newbies or even some idiots that have been around a while, like me. I had to look it up after he said it the 100th time just to make sure.
Yeah I'm just gonna assume you have never READ the words "ambient occlusion" nor noticed that the initials for such are "A O" . Occulsion: when something cannot be seen it is occluded. The ambient occlusion occurs when light from all around is not reaching certains areas that do not see those photons. The contact shadow near where a tire touches the ground. The area under a car on the street in a daylight scene etc.
In your alligator example I was confused when you used the crevice data as the area with the MORE paint wear when usually areas OUTSIDE of the crevices will experience more wear. Paint doesn't get rubbed off in the crevices as easily as on the outer most parts of a convex surface that is more likely to be exposed to erosion.
is there any other app like substance painter, but free.
At 12:17, you pulled a node string which connected directly into a coloramp node without doing a "shift + A" to add the coloramp beforehence.. that's doing a weird thing to my mind could you please make it stop. Looking forward to grow from padawan to jedi under your training very soon.
I know it's on purpose, but you're driving me nuts with your "ambient inclusion". My brain refuses to process it, lol.
also "normers" 🥲
THANK YOU! A peek into the pro world. If you gave yourself a nickel for every time you said, "go ahead" you could retire now. 😊
Pros texture by using substance painter :D
You lost me right away. Do I need a glass object to follow along? I guess I was overly ambitious. =\
0:51 how is bro texturing just from a image of a bag?
Wow the gaps of information makes this a frustrating.......
background music is distracting
"ambient inclusion"
"normers and ammient inclusion"?
Why do americans say 'go ahead' so much? is it something from childhood?
vDo I have any blender animators who would like to put a vision of mine onscreen? It can be either Pokemon, Shrek, or Mario (e.g., the SMB movie animation).
Why do Americans say "drug" when the word is "dragged"?
"Drug" is a bit of an archaic past tense of "drag"; that's all
That was soo unhelpful. Even tho my lvl in blender is advansed . I really understood NOTHING . it just made me worse i think
how to texture like a pro: use substance painter
Stop saying "ambient inclusion" . I delegitimizes your grasp of the concepts you are attempting to convey.
cry about it
holy clickbait bro. keep yourself safe.
