Well. I am in this bizar situation... There are 6 archen. Each of them has something they stand for. There are 2 pacts, phobos(the one I am in. It stands for taking) and elpis (they stand for giving) when I joined phobos, I had to chose am arche that we had to bring to our side... and a friend there, was the one standing for conflict. she asked me to help her, but i am a dicipel of concealment. so automaticaly i had to join the arch of concealmentbut when aya asked me if I would join her and get conflict to our side, the leader stepped in and said that it was wonderful that I would help aya... now the problem is, I can't actually go to conflict becouse of 2 reasons. The first one is, I can't just let aya sit there on her own again, the second one is, I swore to help get hiding back... but if I let my friend down, she could get mad, and she is the most dangerous in all of phobos, becouse she can controll whoever she wants. please, does any of you know what to do??? I am desperate! !!(this shit is confusing. I know)(just call me NYX)
First, if your character is like me, you'd save your own skin. If your friends going to kill you, its clear what choice to make, plus you get to have a really powerful ally

Help, I need your advice.
My name is Wulfstan and after 3 decades of fighting across the realms, I have been hired to train a new mercenary company, The Axe-Kith. Up until now I have been able to be like everyones' favourite uncle why leading the young warriors.
Recently though there has been a breakdown in company discipline and mutterings that I am too old to be obeyed. I have been fighting and killing for longer then most of these young warriors have been alive. How do I enforce discipline without calling out some of the troublemakers and chop them into dogmeat?
What should I do? I am hoping that your advice will help.

Specking from personal experience it is more satisfying to steal them then wait until thay see that whet ever you stole is missing then kill them.

What would interest me, are there simple normal human characters in american Larp? I am from Germany an we have many people who play relatively simple humans. I myself play a simple mercenary.
Actually there are, but they're certainly not as common here. Most characters I know personally have some kind of magical bloodline. It's interesting how that's reversed! One of my good friends set up his entire character concept around being a farmer. "I'm just a dude." was his tagline. It's actually what made him unique haha. But we'd love to have different perspectives in our Global Character video!
Larp House Well we do have our Elves, Draves and a ton the Wizzards, but also have a majority of normal humans. We have mercenaries, knights, peasants, bards and hell, even beggars.
A reason why, from what i have seen, it feels and seems different is because it is much more grounded. We have many big larp groups that have their shared backstory´s. That makes it feel much more coherent because the war band of 50 people comes from the same place with the same background and they are not 50 people who all have different concepts and backgrounds. And even Wizzards are, while doing magic, very believable. Many use existing backgrounds like academy´s and different "schooling´s" of magic.
And also adding to it are the VERY elaborated costumes. Here in Germany it is relatively easy to get simple clothes that fit in the setting . And people put so much work in they clothes. In videos of american lap i often see reused modern clothes, or "steempunky" and early modern looking clothing. That is something you see rarely in german fantasy Larp. And then there are the Orcs. :D Look for "Drachenfest orc camp (Lager) and you will know what i mean.
Oh I totally understand what you mean. We in America obviously don't have traditional medieval themes in our own history, being a much younger country, so reenactors and replica artists are much more rare here. I'm always finding myself drooling over European LARP kits :)

I come seeking advise, A former traveling companion has recently started making claims of being abandoned by my caravan and his family which makes up a great deal of it among other slanderous rumors. He was removed from his position of power when his mutations were becoming more obvious and left in an ensuing bitch fit. As someone who has actually suffered at the hands of their family and been abandoned in the wilderness, I take these claims as salt in a gaping wound. How should I deal with this charismatic simpleton. Indeed i have thought of introducing him to my Dorthy my hammer and removing tongue but as a politican I fear he will merely grow another spitting even greater venom.
