  • For this video, we show ya how to make our favorite indicators for fly fishing. The Dorsey Indicator is lightweight yet it can hold heavyweight. I use polypropylene yarn, thread, and 3/16in orthodontic elastics. Give it a try!

    New Zealand wool indicator method using unwashed wool more simpler to construct than this method , all the best, David.

      Don’t know about the video, but I’ve always just used a soft bristle brush that you can get from any hardware store... the kind that you you can use for cleaning grout or other small areas

    Have you ever used a new Zealand indicator ? 100% simpler than this

      I've used New Zealand indicators and found this to be an even better system

      Yep and great point. I like both systems but the NZ is a little easier.

      Yarn indicators were around before Dorsey was born.

      Can’t adjust the NZ to depth w/o taking it off and resetting it. The “Dorsey” is a better option
