How did you check it? I have a 2018 civic EX took it to a mechanic and said everything looks good. Yet it stays blowing hot ass air ALL summer! I can’t go another year without it. It gets to triple digits where I’m from 😩😭

Take it to the dealer, there's a recall for that; mine was doing exactly the same thing two weeks ago.

2017 this trick worked, however it won’t let me do it again ugh. Also took to dealership they said it’s my evaporator but I’m not showing any errors

I'm not 100% sure but I think there is a recall for that.

@@JR_FK8 Not a recall for evaporator but for condenser and compressor shaft seal leak. Tbh there should be for evaporator too, I see lots of people having problem with that and I have booked a diagnostic test to my dealer next thursday and I just hope its the compressor tbh (I know its not the condenser, this time).

Honda is extending the warranty on the air conditioning condenser to 10 years from the original date that the vehicle was purchased, up to an unlimited number of miles.

@@Group_Anonymous I've taken it in twice (3 times if you count the bad part that didn't work last year with a month period) They said they replaced the condenser the first time. The second they said the replacement part from the first fix was partially covered and made me pay $300. A year later, AC went again. Any suggestions before I take it in?

@@PaulsCZcamsit’s an issue with the new ac unit Honda replaced starting on the 2016 - 2019 models. Unfortunately there is no permanent fix for this issue atm. You can fix it as many times as you want but it will always break down eventually. Get a lemon law layer, I’m in that process with my 2017 civic. Honda needs to recall these cars. The extended warranty is a money trap. The service department will charge you for parts because it only covers the condenser. I bought my car brand new and the AC unit never blew super cold air. Eventually the ac compressor blew up on me and after that never had ac again. I took my car 3 different times to a Honda dealer with no success.
