    Wonderful, intelligent breed. I have had the privilege of caring for two and they really do bond to the family even though they may choose a favorite. Love them.

    Just amazing and love how you were able to walk around without having your pup smelling everything or trying to nip and jump on other people in the store!! 🥰

    Great work, Bouvs are smart and cerebral, and can get bored easily with training because it stops holding their interest. Nice work.
    FYI the breed is from France and southern Belgium, so the name is pronounced “Bu - vee - ay”

    good stuff, I know bouviers are great protectors also. Seeing how great he is around strangers, will he know what to do if someone tries to attack you!

      I have had Bouviers since 1980. They are calm when socialized properly when young. Their size is a deterrent (or should be) but if someone wants to be stupid, they may end up missing body parts.

    Great work on the training
    Why do a lot of owners and breeders in the USA crop a Bouviers ears totally unnecessary???

    • @ali87107
      @ali87107 Před 2 lety

      Air flow to ears, to avoid ear infections, adds to the blocky/cobby look

      @@ali87107 sorry I believe its done just for appearance sake.

    • @madisonfoster9290
      @madisonfoster9290 Před 2 lety +1

      @@BRUNO-hl9yb I believe it is illegal in Europe to crop ears. We do it here for appearance. Think of all the breeds that are left with natural, floppy ears and I would assume it has nothing to do with needing air flow to prevent infection. One of my show dogs had natural ears and she was always the only one. There was this white powder stuff you use to sprinkle into the ear canal so you can clean out the hair with forceps.

    My trainers usually know how to pronounce the breeds name correctly! However you have to memorize 1 name to get it right, I'm sure that's hard!

    I like Bouviers...however a new breed of Bouvier /kangal or Bouvier/boz Sheppard mix should be created...this would be the best protecor of women and small children ever created....says the spirit of Mr. Young ... aka...the greatest dog trainer of all time....he used to have German Shepards do hand signals ..yes...! The dog did hand signals while sitting on fire hydrin ....and then in the middle of downtown U C Berkeley traffic ..and help direct traffic in Berkeley California...in the mid and late 1970s.....ask Berkeley police retired guys if you think I'm lying...l......I was a child and he influenced me into studying all dog of breeds...from toiling duck hounds ....landseers....jag terriers....to the pug Marti thelmon . created....ok the last was a joke ..😎
