Very nice setup! Any idea where I can find a metal gong for the motor assembly? Have the motor activated striker but the actual gong from it is missing. Works fine but it would be nice if I could complete it. There are no visible manufacturers markings on the motor assembly which is making it tough to ID it’s source, not even a model number.

The voice alarm reminds me of the time the Fire alarm went off in a hotel I was staying at... Did I mention it was at 3 am? DURING WINTER?!
yep, the Fire Lite panel was coding the Bell and the Chime/Strobe to Code 3.
I have one of those blue alarms on. There is a pulldown, and I also got the same alarm wrapped in red.
Now after watching you test your fire alarms i need to make more fire alarm vids mostly i make siren vids

For the next system test, can you have the Gentex commder 3 and the Gentex speaker strobe on Gentex sync, and the strobes continue to flash, and the horn and speaker stop sounding?
We had a fire drill at our high school and it went like this “may I have your attention please, may I have your attention please there has been a fire reported in the building, please leave at your nearest exit immediately” I have no idea what the system was. Can you (if you know the system) do that one please!

My school does not use code 3. Or california code. It uses march time 60bpm.
Can you do The Fire lite BG-12LX And pull it then after that reset the panel or system and key open the pull station and flip the switch

Why would it not be up to code for a speaker to be playing the fire emergency message does it have to say fire on it to allow it to say it?

I didn't know what those key switches were for until now, though it was clear they tested *something*
I kinda wish that you had the alarms just sorted by sound but that would take too long
The one thing I don’t like about the Wheelock female voice evac is that one part she sounds confused, “🤔A fire emergency has been reported in the building 🤔”

At my old elementry school, (keep in mind this is over 17 years ago, they had a fire alarm system that was kind of strange. It did a “whoop”, ding, ding” anyone have any ideas what it could have been?
