I think this system would be ideal for a large building such as a shopping centre. There is a system similar to this in a shopping centre I visit often, I don't know the model of any of the panels or notification devices. I think it's a common system that was used from around the year 1990 to 2010 in large buildings here in Ireland.

This is a good panel if you want speaker strobes, but your building only has one story. Because how can you set up a message that says “do not use the elevator” if there’s no elevator?

Hey S.E.R., I have a question. If u held down the PTT button on the mic and then activated a pull station or other device, how would the system react? Would it override the mic and play the pre-recorded messages or would it just strobe and leave the mic active and feedback the horns?
The mic is the higest priority in the safepath and will override any messages

The 'record' button enables the user's ability to record his/her message.

I wonder if any of these voice notification systems have a shelter-in-place message, like during a tornado or active shooter situation.
For the tornado emergency, it will be the 'weather emergency' message; mass notification systems are seldom linked to a device that transmits Emergency Alert System messages.

Heyy! Is it possible to wire up a speaker strobe using a headphone wire (3.5mm) and a wire to power the strobe?
My school has the Simplex 4003ES. (The Simplex version)

Mine has a notifier panel and the system sensor SPSCWLs, SPSWLs, SPSRKs and a SPSCW. Also 2Notifier NBG 12 LXs
My school just installed the 4003EC (Simplex version) buttons are not the same.. fire obviously but that's it. And only 2 have tones

He is probably not going to get one because the dvc (digtal voicd control) of the onyx panels are proprietary

In that case, there would actually be 10 slots on the mass notification system (and also the system would trigger the message just like the EAS)
Mass notification systems are normally not connected to a device that transmits EAS messgaes due to FCC regulations.
