What do you prefer? A backpack clip or camera strap?
Thank you for this video. Would it fit a 40mm over shoulder strap easily? Or do I have to buy 50mm+ width in your opinion? I have a over the shoulder bag that I keep 3 lenses in and was going to put the clip on that. It's all I need.
The video I've been looking for, thank you for walking through everything.
Thank you for the review!
Cheers!
Thanks. Useful video
Glad it was helpful!
Excellent job. Exactly what I needed. I'm surprised Ulanzi didn't provide the same? One question ... what are the small washer for inside the accessories packet with the lanyard replacement strap? Do I need to use a washer when attaching the clip to the bottom of my camera?
Agreed it's great. Do you ever find the plate getting loose. Do you prefer any other plates? Thanks
The plate slightly moves inside, but it has never caused an issue.
I use both depending on the circumstances. I don't always need my backpack so a strap is needed.
I do have the V2 backpack clip on order?
How have you found it
Can you try it on belt vs peakdesign pad for capture clip belt
I can’t, because I don’t have the peak design thing
Great review! Have you tried it on a belt? I'm still trying to decide between PD, F38 and Pgytech systems and F38 seems to have the best ecosystem.
Cheers. I haven't tried it on a belt, but so far, I don't have any complaints about it. It works really well, and I love the F38 ecosystem.
Mine arrives tomorrow!!
I really love mine!
How have you found it
@@markshirley01 it's brilliant!
can you use the clip with a standard L bracket or does the arca plate to be square
I think it has to be square. However, it will be best if you ask Ulanzi to be certain.
What happens if you press the button for the backpack attach mechanism by accident?
Nothing, because you need to pull up the camera to remove it, and it's almost impossible to press it by accident..
I have the PeakDesign one and I love it! but I was thinking grabbing another one, so might consider grabbing that one instead
(why we are after the black Friday lol!)
So far, the FALCAM clip has been really good. No complaints..
I have the Pgytech because it's faster to change.
@@donnawetter1513 Faster than this one even?
@@DimusTech I would say yes since there are not straps, just a clamp with one switch.
The problem is that I read that with mirrorless cameras, you don't want to leave your EVF exposed to the sun. This clip would do that.
Do they sell a cover for the evf? Especially if u have it set to lcd only
Is it compatible with Olympus OMD cameras?
I don't see why not. It's compatible with any camera that has a 1/4" thread..
How does it compare to the peak design capture?
I don’t have one, so I can’t really say.
I have had the PD version for years now and this is super similar but the PD does not have a lock on the release. Also this is a lot cleaner design except I think the PD can grab tighter on the strap since you tighten two screws as tight as you want whereas this that that stretchy o-ring that will make it wobble more for heavier cameras.
That’s why the PD is probably rated up to 90kg, whereas this one is only 30kg.
@@lidarman2 Ah interesting! Thanks for the insight. I do have the PD as well and figured the screws are able to hold more weight, but the Falcam’s new clamp design is very sleek and easy to use. There is actually a lock on PD’s release! You just have to twist the button to lock it.
@@lidarman2PD locks if you twist the button
Insta360 ace pro???
I'm not getting one.
Does it suit pant belt too ?
I'm not sure, but it should fit..
That strap that is used to close the clamp looks an accident waiting to happen. It doesn't look very durable. Not sure that I would trust expense equipment to it.
That's what I thought. V1 was more solid, had no play with the camera in. They only had to redesign the bolts. I switched to F38 from PD because of the play that PD has. I just got this clip but I am already a bit disappointed. Gotta try it on the field, though.
So it’s a 2 hand release?
It's a one button release..
@@RomaFedorov can you release it with just your right hand? the whole video you used two hands to release it.
Yes, you can. However, it depends on the size of the lens and camera. It wasn't a problem with my ZV-E1 and 35mm f1.8 lens, but if you have a very large setup, I don't think it'll be possible.
@@pagpapaitim
I think your camera has a headache
The camera is in love with me; it can't take its eyes off me. 😎

Not a fan at all--of the V2. The original--with the goofy knobs--was silent. V2 rattles constantly with every step--like Peak Design I've tried. My V2 is for sale...
Thanks for the feedback. I'm happy with mine!
