- You'll be surprised at what happens behind the offices and showroom at Santa Cruz Bicycles' headquarters. There's an entire assembly and prototyping factory back there, with the ability to build rideable carbon fiber and alloy prototype frames and components!

*Great frame and lightweight. **Latest.Bike** components were well adjusted out of the box. Great entry level bike for light off road use.*
that's amazing that they run demos for just 20 dollars, and then give it back to the trails. It takes a lot of effort and money to maintain a demo fleet!
This video just put a Santa Cruz bike at the top of my MTB shopping list. From the looks of things, Santa Cruz has some very cool and devoted bike enthusiast working for them! Nice shop!
i was thinking the same thing. i will, at a min., put them on the compare list.
Bought a 5010 carbon 5 years ago for my 60th birthday and just love it to bits best bike I have ever bought
Gary david I just got one in carbon and I love it
Just got back into mountain biking last year and just got a killer deal on a 2020 5010. That’s awesome that you still shred at 65! Your post inspired me!
@@sksinha1 I still manage about 100 km half of that off road a week, you just got to keep going no pain no gain
got me one of these as well - best bike I've ever ridden here in the North East. Had an opportunity to rent a 5010 in Las Vegas and rode Blue Canyon (very different terrain than the NE) and it didn't let me down there either.
So awesome. I've been in the front showroom area a million times but never knew all that was going on in back.

Just bought a Bronson C a month ago, loving it! Wish all company's did so much for there employee's!!!
Pawel C cool man I got the CC on Saturday it's a great bike but I hate the hope hub 😢😢😢😢
Is It too loud?
I bought one too second hand few months ago and in love as well. Enjoy shredding the trails Pawel!
Hope is Great but Onyx makes a hub that makes no noise, great for CZcamsrs that make content. $$$
@@Cartsp70 I know what you mean. I bought a set of i9 wheels and the hub is so loud, people get mad haha
I am happy visiting you. See you next Santa Cruz Bike, greeting from Indonesia.
great idea regarding the employees who ride to work can earn credits towards upgrades etc, love to know more
My lbs does it for kids 14 only
Wow, this entire factory is a thing of beauty! I never knew so much effort and love went into each and every bike! Breaks my heart that I'll never be able to afford my own SC bike 😔
Amazing work, guys, much respect 🙏🙏
looks like a fantastic place to work, thanks for the tour
I only watched this today and I really love to work here someday. Its by far the coolest bike facility I have seen.
Wow. What a bunch of smiley, happy people work there!
I wouldn't mind working there looks like they enjoy what they are doing.
Cool video, thanks for the tour!
Loved the VIdeo and how open they are to show their workflows. Love mine
"... also lets us employ more people.." what a refreshing change in these days of " sack'em all ", this guy knows you can't sell things to robots.
They are located in Santa Cruz, Ca. I'm generalizing, but there is a positive attitude towards employees and their welfare that you won't find in other locations where high-pressure tactics benefit the few.
Got a tallboy 3 al about a month ago, loving it so far. By far my favorite bike brand
I just bought a Chameleon R. Thank you for the tour!!!
Really great seeing what happens behind the scenes. It makes me appreciate my SC Blur that much more!
Looks like a very cool place to work, I'm buying my first Santa Cruz and very exited I can help out the local economy. Made in the good ole USA can't go wrong w/ that!! Your bikes have good reputation for being very tuff frames.
Not entirely in USA. You see the aluminum frames are shipped in.
@HWG-wm8ld Not now, where talking 5yrs+ ago. Everything made in Taiwan and China. On the bright side lifetime warranty! That hasn't changed👍
I upgraded this last year from a 2009 26'er FSMTB that I'd replaced 3 drivetrains in, to a 27.5 Carbon Bronson CC.
I've got to say, Santa Cruz makes an amazing bike! It's like having a motor. It's so rigid. And so light!
The FOX 36 & Float DPX2 EVOL suspension blew my mind! I also upgraded for the first time to tubeless tires and
a dropper seat post. UNREAL difference with those too! I feel like a super human biking machine now!
Cool to see behind the scenes... but no sight of Joe's glorious face?? To me, that dude *IS* Santa Cruz Bikes! Thanks to all the people there at the factory getting it done for the rest of us, it is appreciated :)
Cool video, thanks for the peek behind the scenes. I’ve got a 5010 c that I love and ride nearly every day its not raining.
After watching this you can now understand why bikes are so expensive,a lot of material a lot of people needed to produce a bike loved this tour of your factory
Awesome tour !! I look forward to seeing it myself someday and maybe demo a bike :)
So great that you build them here!
Your shop looks awesome. Keep up the great work.
Lookin to pick up a XXL Hightower in white s+, as my s works stumpjumper xl was broken in a hit and run on broadway in NYC 3 years ago and I have been saving ever since. But family/ Mom health has been worst news possible and it ate a lot of my budget. One day... love your bikes, shop, visuals, branding, geo’s, ethos and mission statement. A great American company!
Just viewed your video tour. Well done and much appreciated.
a dream bike that will always be a dream for me.
i love those black and red combinations..it really rocks..
This is one of the best Factory tours I've ever seen. I would work there for free just to get the knowledge. Thanks
You must have not seen many factory tours, because this one blows. Calling this a "factory" is a huge stretch.
My dream is to come and visit SC one day, and I am adding a visit to your factory to the itinerary! Can’t wait 😎
Thank you for the tour sir, i hope someday i may travel there and make an actual tour
Thanks for the tour.!! SCB looks like the above average company with fantastic benefits..!! Very Coooool..!
Awesome tour! Great company!
🤩 I never knew Santa Cruz also makes bikes. Since the brand isn’t sold in my country. So you can now buy a Santa Cruz 🛹 🚲
Chris Bautista Santa Cruz skateboards and Santa Cruz bikes are two completely different brands. Even if both are located in California, they are completely different.
@samtb not quite true what you write there. Here’s a cite of Santa Cruz bicycles website faq:
Is Santa Cruz Bicycles related to Santa Cruz Skateboards?
NHS (Santa Cruz Skate, Snow, Surf) is our sister company.
We are both located in Santa Cruz, California. There is some joint partnership, but we are completely separate companies.

As a Santa Cruz owner I’m stoked at how many human hands my bike passed through…but also a little bummed I didn’t get to meet Mike and John!
omg, I'd love to be a bike builder for santa cruz. This supermarket isle is a dream!
Love the SC factory damn I wish the staff in the UK we're so helpful . When you visit SANTA Cruz Soho Bikes in London and ask a question about your bike like I did about my Bronson CC ,THEY LOOK AT ME LIKE IM STUPID, IM A BMW ENGINEER IM NOT STUPID I JUST DONT KNOW HOW TO SET MY BRONSON UP . MAYBE I SHOULD BRING THE BIKE TO USA 🇺🇸 YOU GUYS ARE MORE FRIENDLY
Paul Cartwright cool, what parts do you engineer?
What is the problem with ya bike 🚲?
Don't feel bad dude, its like this all over london at most bike shops. Try dropping £20k on a new motorcycle, you will have to fight to get them to take your money.
I wish we even had a proper Santa Cruz retailer here in Belgium :/
If I decide to buy one some day, I don't even know where to go.
@@MrKinir you can't afford one so you won't have to worry about that.
Nice, looks and feels like a great company.
More respect for Santa Cruz bikes after watching this.
Wow! Those FULSUS is really amazing😍
Damn makes everything love the bike even more
Watching this brought a smile to me face.... What an awesome setup and so employee friendly...... hope COVID19 doesn't bring this great operation undone.....
thnx for that tour! Although I know work is just work, wherever you are, but working at SC looks special. I am and always was into SC. And wow, a truing machine? Cool, didn't know they automated that process
Simply awesome. No wonder why these bikes are expensive. Real people work there and it takes time and skills to build a proper bicycle.
great tour .
Very cool tour!
Very cool. Getting my first SC bike tomorrow . Excited. Nice tour . Your workers made Santa's helpers look like lazy slugs.
everyone looking at the camera like wtf hahahahah looks like a dream to work there for a bike enthusiast, great video
You’re totally right. The conditions look excellent. I like the fact that they have a “no cellphones allowed” policy in their break room.
@@KunaevNS did they really.. fuck man. i think it looks like a shithole to work in
That's a badass tour
santa cruz for life
These bikes are worth every penny!
A very nice n clean factory shop .good job BIKESANTACRUZ
Do employees get disciplined for failure to wear a snap back hat?
That is one amazing VW flat bed !!
Very informative video, a high end factory. a guy in the machine shop had a picture of WWF "George the Animal Steel" on his cabinet,
Very Nice Video....A Santa Cruz may be in my future !
I love this bike! From Philippines...
Wish my freaking bike would get here all ready!!!! I ordered it over a month ago!!!

Awesome next time on Santa Cruz I’m visiting the shop store
I have a Santa Cruz Branson Carbon C! It's THE BEST BIKE I'VE EVER OWNED!!! IT'S THE TACOMA OF BIKES!! I highly recommend it!! It was a special order so it's good to see where my baby was born! -:) Keep up the good work!!!
What an Awesome place to work, Looks like Santa Cruz gives back to its workers and the trails. Great employee facilities. I lived there for 18months about 20years ago Big thumbs up about the poison oak comment. I didnt know what it was and took a tumble and was rolling around in it my buddies were like dude you know what that shit is Hahaha most painful 3weeks of my life after that.
Incredible
Really interesting.
Nice factory tour. Workshop with the CNC and lathe are a bit messy. Absolutely love the VW pickup, by Pon.
This is why since I started Mtn biking 8 years ago I buy Santa Cruze and I’m on my second one. Started with the Tall Boy and just bought their first electric bike.
Truing machine is sick
Much respect for using manual labor to build your products.. Really persuading me to do a V10 over the big S’s Demo.
Looks like a great company to work for.
Here is our locker room where we keep the half naked employees.
You've spoilt the surprise. Shame on you.
What? Where? Rewind, rewind. Lol🤩
I wanna work for Santa Cruz. would be the best job ever!!
Wow..you guys do it right..ill be buying a Santa Cruz.im bring it by
interesting glimpse , thanks . Hey guys it's time for a long travel V.10 for the trail . You can call it The " trail burner " .
Cool operation...
This tour made me think that maybe my dream is to be a bike mechanic in there too.

My dream build bikes.
This is my husband dream bike .. but we cannot afford because is so expensive.. wish one of this day to have my own santa Cruz MTB. God bless... Santa Cruz ... Manufacturing. From. The phillipines.
Imagine if you walk in front of the factory and you meet the boss then he's said "choice anything you want in here" 😊😁😁😂 hihihi how happy live.
Wow amazing.. Is there any possibilities that santa cruz bikes bring here in the philippines specially mountain bikes&road bikes in the market?
This would be a great Lean Six Sigma location to do a bit of streamlining
My dream trail bike 🖤
Jadi kepengen punya 😍
Must be so cool to work there.
Esa fábrica es genial
Desearía trabajar en Santa Cruz bikes
Santa Cruz hasn’t opponents anymore , is miles away from other mtb companies ! ONLY SANTA CRUZ 🖤!
Looks like a cool place to work for......
wow amazing place would love a job there :P
i bet it dont pay enough
my dream bike, i wish i have one of those bike's
Great video!! Working conditions really look good. Reason capitalism can work if employees treated good but not pampered. Have a 2017 tallboy carbon and use for road biking. Absolutely love it.
We definitely don’t receive the SC boxes as neatly laid out in the UK, as I saw in this video.
No photo studio access!! Bummer! Rad place for sure!
Thats my dreamm bike sir Santa Cruz I really love that bike sir
