Yeah, I'm not a fan of this 80's sculpt either! :P I compared it to the similar 'Superstar' sculpt and that seems way more symmetrical. This 80's one looks really lopsided and I'm not a fan of that hairdo with the hair covering the ears. (That made more sense with Superstar's blow-waved look, IMO.) The eyes on these 80's dudes are also super-wonky! I actually wish they did a different sculpt that looked like an early 80's Ted McGinley (Who actually looked a lot like the late 70's/early 80's illustrations of Ken, especially when he had those blonde highlights, like he did in 'Revenge of the Nerds.') I also compared this DTN Ken's head to my 'Great Shape' Ken and Great Shape's head seems way smaller, like it had shrunk. He also has those VERY manicured eyebrows that look tweezed, like a drag queen on his day off! LOL
LOL yes, I think it was just how the face sculpt was. I thought it was the usual 'shrinkage' but my friend Dean (who knows more about 80's and 90's dolls than I do) said that it was just how he was sculpted. I kinda like it now TBH as it gives him a bit of character!
Definitely remember those Barbie commercials. Still want him for my collection 🩶
Hope you get him soon! 😉
Love the final look in the Arco office playset! Well done 😊
Thanks so much! I was going to get that Barbie Day to Night home office set, but I liked this Arco office set so much better! That NY skyline!!! 😍🤩
Poor Ken! He really does need to wash his shiny hair before he does the Conga with Barbie!! 💃🕺🏻
LOL!!! He sure does! 😜
Love the office, it really does look amazing with the dolls! :) I'd love to see the Finishing Touches out of the package if you'd like to unbox it! :)
Thanks so much! Doesn't it look like it was designed with them in mind? I'll try to do a video on that 9 to 5 accessory set soon! 😉
That shirt fabric is so interesting and I love his stocking socks! Was never a fan of this sculpt though. Poor Ken! 😂💖

@@fashiondolldreamer Hahaha! Drag Queen on his day off! You are a riot! 😂😂😂
His face seems slanted & warped on the box image too.
