All that and he never revealed the true cause. Hormones are a contributing factor. However, in many cases It's the immune system attacking the follicles. You can regrow new follicles with microneedling to restore your hair line. But if you're genetically predisposed to baldness you'll have to continue to do microneedling every year or so.

In the studies you mentioned, there appeared to be no control groups. I have trained in a hardcore gym in which many individuals used testosterone( and its derivatives), HGH, and thyroid hormone. In some individuals, even though they trained intensely with weights like others, there was little muscle growth. From my studies, given all other factors being equal, it appears the lowering of the pH of the muscle may be the major factor that makes a muscle more receptive to these hormones by causing a change in the configuration of the muscle cell hormone receptor. Fast Twitch muscle cells(FT) fatigue more quickly than Slow Twitch(ST) because of the difference in oxygen capacity. Hence the FT cells produce faster and higher amounts of Lactic Acid and Carbonic Acid than ST cells. Injuring/damaging the muscle cell seems to affect muscle growth only slightly. Look at the physique of world class sprinters and world class triathletes.Which group would do more damage to the muscle cells? Which group is physically more muscular. Which group fatigues more quickly?

Women can also experience androgenic hair loss. Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome is a condition that causes increased levels of androgens, such as testosterone, which often leads to male-pattern baldness and facial hair growth, among other symptoms. It's usually treated with anti-androgenic drugs such as spironolactone,
but this isn't always completely effective on its own. Many of these women still have to shave the same way men do and use lower strength minoxidil to treat the hair loss.

I'm 56yrs old 6'5" 280lbs hit the gym 2.5hrs a day 5 days a week since since I was in my early teens. Testosterone has nothing to do with it I started going bald right out of college at 22yrs old. By the time I was 24 I was shaving my head. I was a 6'5" 240lbs just out of my teens with a head full of hair and almost over night it was gone. I'd looked into hair transplants and all the hair loss clinics bbut 5 grand or more it wasn't worth it.
At first I was a bit sensitive about my hair loss, but it took a handful of women I knew telling me I looked better bald than when I had hair. That restored my conference and I've been shaving my head now for over 32yrs. When your head gives you lemons make lemonade, lol.
I love it, my wife loves it our kids have never seen me with a head of hair other than in pictures. So it's no big deal, just insecure vanity. Just a few words of advice. If you do go bald at least grow a beard, goatee or something. Trust me that baby smooth face isn't a good look when you're bald.

My 2d-4d ratio is .92. I'm farther from the average man is from the average woman. I have an exceptionally deep voice, and have had it since I was 15, when I also reached my final height of 6'5" (198cm), and I have very large testicles, and absurdly dense bones. I have a LOT of body hair, but it's blonde and is hard to see unless it's wet. I have thick facial hair except for a gap of roughly an inch where most men's sideburns connect their facial hair and scalp hair. I am 40 and have no hair loss whatsoever. My hairs on my head are small and fine, but densely packed and numerous.
I have an uncle who was chrome dome bald at 25, and he's inarguably the son of his father, yet no other relative within his uncles, 3 other brothers, his father, or any of my cousins were/are bald.
