How to work with the Template window in VSDC 6.8

- If you have downloaded the latest version of VSDC already, you might have noticed a new window located next to the Project explorer and Object explorer windows. We've called a Template window.
From now on, it will house all video, audio, and text effects, but most importantly - you'll be able to add your own effect templates there and reorganize them in the way you find convenient.
The first time you open the Template window, you'll need to synchronize it with the server. It may take some tie, however, the reason for it is that the VSDC effects are now hosted in the cloud. This means that whenever we release effect updates, you'll be able to download them instantly. No need to update the library or the entire program each time.
Haven't downloaded VSDC 6.8 yet?

Just downloaded V6.9 and tested out this feature *GUYS YOU'VE DONE AN AMAZING JOB ADDING THIS IN AND AS A CONTENT CREATOR ITS GOING TO SAVE ME SO MUCH TIME AND TAKE MY WORK TO THE NEXT LEVEL* *THANK YOU!* 😁
Hi VSDC! Just wanted to say I love your program and all the tutorial videos you've uploaded so far, I started playing around with the free version during lockdown and with your help I'm happy to say I'm a professional amateur video editor :) Upgraded to Pro and have no regrets, it does a lot for a very reasonable price! keep up the good work! :)
This sotware just keeps getting better and easier to work with... Keep it up!
That's the plan!
Awesome work. Saving templates is going to a huge time saver
Great tutorial. thank you so much.
Wow this is really cool! I gotta start using this now.
This is really great stuff 🐱 well done 👍🏾
Thank you! 😊
That is a awesome update, thanks.
WOW This is an amazing feature thank you so much.
Glad you like it!
oh wow, this is huge! this is awesome!
Hi Lisa (VSDC head animation)! The template window has been a game changer for me. I've been working with Shotcut for a while now, and I like it. But, VSDC's template window gives me a broader latitude in what to do with my videos, and NOW I'm changing completely over from Shotcut to VSDC as my main video editor. Thank you for all that you do.
Hi, Lance. We're thrilled to hear that.
wow, this is a great update
Wow!!! Big thumbs up to VSDC!!!
convenient indeed! thnk u for this osm video!
Glad you liked it
Amazing 👍👍
I really like the update
Excellent tutorial...thanks.
But where are templates being stored? (if I am saving any sprites with my custom templates; this sucker is going to get BIG fast! I'm going to need to keep an eye on its disk usage) [P.S. I'm on a Windows box]
Walking by transition … hope to see it !!! VSDC is being better update by update
how can I share the template created by me, with someone else? I mean where can I find it on my hard drive?
Second year Pro user here. Love your software so far. But what I want to have is automated scene breakdown. I mean splitting a video into smaller pieces but doing it in auto mode.
Probably a dumb question but I'm hoping someone can tell me, is there away to move certain effects over to show up in the menu drop down that way I dont have to switch to template every time I wanna add something different?
Hello, unfortunately, you cannot move templates to the effects menu. They are meant to be used from the "Templates" section.
If you have other questions or need assistance, please email us at support@videosoftdev.com with a detailed description.
its really amazing
We're glad you liked it!
this is great update
tried the free version of VSDC
unable to download AI Art Generator presets --
I fail at -- "7. Use the folder icon to add the downloaded preset(s) to the dropdown menu"
no clue how to add any preset to any dropdown menu -- I must be clicking on the wrong things (I'm an old guy)
just purchased a year of the pro version, and I'll try watching a bunch of tutorial videos
any help in getting the AI Art Generator presets into my computer will be appreciated
never mind, guys & gals -- I figured it out
Please make tutorial of these transitions:
1.Pan: left,right,up and down.
2. Rotation: left,right,up and down.
3. Shake
4. Chromatic aberration
5. Tilt :left,right,up and down.
6.zoom : left,right,up and down.
I desperately need them!
I Emailed you a few days ago about when I make a template and save it, I got a reply and
Thats great..
. BUT we should be able to export the saved templates for future updates.
You said the files are in the folder
C:\Users\USER NAME\AppData\Roaming\FlashIntegro\VideoEditor\FileCache\Files,
this folder is located on your PC
Which they are. But the file names are totally random.
Surely we should be able to make a template and save it as a name or export it to a name so we know which templates we have and may need for future updates? hope this makes sense.
Thnks..
The update does not affect your templates, so you will see them after reinstalling
But if you intend to work on different machines, you need to copy and paste the Files folder there.
Would love a camera tracking feature and a 3-wheel colour system like Resolve has.
Not have tracking neither in vs premium
how to make the avatar video?
How do a glow up?
This template window is awesome! Though adding something to the scene itself (not to an element within the scene) seems to make the duration last as long as the video duration. Is there a way to fix or change this? Other than that, I love that I can add all of my frequently used animations to this without opening up multiple projects!
Right click on your template, and apply "use template duration"
@@VSDCFreeVideoEditor oh, thanks.
If it's an effect, you could stretch the work area across the appropriate period required and add the effect "To the work area" rather than "from the cursor, to the cursor, from the start, to the end, entire parent" etc.
Could you please do a tutorial about all the options and what all we can do to a sprite ... Btw , love your tutorials and the editor . Very useful and nice . 👍
Yes, this editor has a lot of potential. But we don't no know how to do things.
@@aryanbhatambrekar yeah , that's the whole point . There are so many options but I think many including me don't know how to use all the options . Pls do a tutorial on that VSDC , so that we can do more advanced editing 🙂
ThanksYou
Keep it up and train me
How to edit Amv in Vsdc
Are you thinking about adding more possibilities for creating effects here, maybe 3d, a light source, camera rotation-is this possible??
Hello, 3D features are not available in VSDC, but other effects can be achieved with the Zoom, Rotate, Movement and Lens Flare tools.
If you require any further information, feel free to contact us at support@videosoftdev.com
@@VSDCFreeVideoEditor I know they are not available, but will you be able to add them in the future or is it not possible??
@@acadvideoart So VSDC's answer already explained that through the features that VSDC already has you can achieve the effects you want (minus 3D) just start using and learn to do (learning is very good, try it someday)
Help please. Sometimes when I try to add new object to the video ( like text or image) the app gets stuck [ after that I can't use any button or even close vsdc]
So anyway to fix it
Hello,
Does the program freeze?
Please update your Intel driver.
Are you working with two monitors or one?
And what languages are installed on your PC?
@@VSDCFreeVideoEditor yes only vsdc freeze. I use it on laptop ( Windows 10, i3 7thgen, 4gb ram.)
At first I didn't have this problem
How much of your RAM is currently in use? Are the source files heavy (high resolution)? And what languages are installed on your PC?
Please try to enable this option prnt.sc/20ycakx
If this doesn't help email us at support@videosoftdev.com and provide us with a detailed description. We might need to take a closer look at your project or at least check your PC specs.
@@VSDCFreeVideoEditor 63% when I'm not using but when I'm using it goes up to 82% idk how to solve it.
The file was 2 min long, 1080p resolution.
I have installed English language
i remember people asking for this feature including me. nice.
i have a question does free users can use this feature?
yes
Can you pleeeease upload a tutorial series for making amv edits like those of xenoz and jaykar . It's really hard to get on my own
Every style is complicated, in a general way - imagine with the style of the video editor itself over the general style - even more difficult isn't it?!
But it's a matter of practice, so practice, practice, practice and practice and you'll get it (and you'll still find your style and you'll see that over time you'll find some edits of yours better than theirs.)
when does the template thing starts
Hi, what exactly were you looking for? This is a video explaining how to work with the Template window, not templates per se
Niceeeeeee
Could make more videos with opening, cuts and transitions.
Any chance a couple of the most basic audio effects could be added...
Balance. Mute channel, swap channels, Mono.
When moving clips around the work area it would be nice to have the audio follow it instead of having to do a LOT of extra work extracting the audio and processing it externally.
Being able to rotate a sprite by draging the rotate arrow would be handy.. currently it rotates the sprite boundary but leaves the contents in the same orientation.
Anyone who does video editing seriously processes the audio externally.
If you don't want to use paid software, I recommend Audacity is free and very professional and easy to use.
@@coffeelover1456 I've been using Audacity from the early 2k's on Win98 and LOVE it.
BUT... on VSDC to be able to mute an entire channel like you can mute it visually (the eye) instead of adding silence to every clip (and some of my videos have 30+ clips/cuts on a track) would be an almost obvious thing... they did it for video, why not audio...?
I wouldn't call it 'Professionally' but I have been using VSDC for a while now (Windows Video was so quick & Easy but they fixed it by making it so buggy it's now near useless)
I don't mind using yet another piece of software to complete a project, but all in one (which VSDC is getting close to being), is much preferred for a Mediocre editor like myself.
Oh wow! So there's a bunch of effects and transitions that are brand new that you guys haven't even shown yet? Looks like there's a bunch of new stuff to play with
Will we be able to edit the template after adding it?
Hello, you can add a template to the timeline, edit it and save it again. The previous template needs to be deleted manually
@@VSDCFreeVideoEditor Thanks for the response.. It will be helpful if we have option to edit same template..
hello everyone!) can you tell me how to add a character to your videos, this animation (the girl's face)? thank you!)
It's Iphone Memoji
@@VSDCFreeVideoEditor thanks!)

#BUG : Possible bug with the Templates available for Audio volume from the Right side Properties pullout.
If I adjust audio by going to an audio clips property, go down to the Sound Gain "Audio Volume (dB)" and click on the 'More' dots [...]
we get the graph of the audio volume in the lower area where i can manually adjust the volume.
In that lower window upper tool bar there is a [Templates] pulldown with the likes of "Ease In", Ease Out" etc that are great features..
BUT
They involve a Bezier that is not available to publish your project in Free mode.
If you choose a curve from the properties side bar you get the warning (although this should stay on screen until the user clicks on it as it can be easily missed)...
If you choose a Bezier effect from the Templates pulldown, no such warning is given, even though the properties sidebar now shows "Audio Volume (dB" to be using a PRO feature that I know will prevent the desired effect from being published.
(I have mentioned before that is also quite frustrating spending a week on a project only to have it say it contains PRO features, without giving an easy way to locate and remove them... and by that, I don't mean just removing them like the Free version does, but replacing them with something else rather than loosing the effect altogether (which I found when I accidently used a PRO feature by somehow joining 2 move effects and it making it a multi point move... (Too long ago to explain.. and I digress).
Perhaps another addition would be to make the Hover Over descriptions of items (Like the aforementioned Bezier templates) have a RED background showing they are PRO.... BEFORE selecting them, rather than having to click on something to find it is not available at the time of export.
I'm using VSDC FREE 6.8.6.532
When features and tools are released and also in subsequent videos it is very clear which ones are free and which ones are PRO version... Guess what? you just have to watch, that's all, no work.
And enjoy that you liked it and the tools are useful for you, subscribe to the PRO version... I think deserve it, don't you?!
How to play with time plz make this topic video 💥💥
