  • "You can't think about solutions the same way you thought about problems." - Seth Godin. Truth is, recovery isn't just about knowledge -- it's about focusing on the right steps. Too many times people try to think their way into anxiety recovery, but the truth is...when you're anxious, it's easy to overthink. In this video, Shaan describes how to avoid this common anxiety mistake.

    This is so true, my mind was always my greatest asset. When it began obsessing about my symptoms though, it was a long downward spiral to a life of panic and anxiety…..

    My husband and I spent the same amount on my recovery that you did. Yikes. So many supplements, meds, procedures (stellate ganglion nerve block, ketamine infusions) CBT, I could go on and on. Your videos always helped me - I am over 30 days recovered from 2 years of living hell. Thank you for what you do.

      I think I need to not do my safety behaviors like looking check and going back to doctor visits getting more lab test you know going to functional medicine doctors just looking for rare stuff that I don’t have. Yeah this is crazy and then it all it does is activate my my nervous system and get my stomach upset and I do deal with nausea like you did Sean on a date you know day off day on and it just sucks and I just got to sit in the anxiety.

    Recovery is a management process in itself. We learn to manage those "restrictions" so we can better deal with them in the future. Sadly the brain can't "erase" memories of panic attacks, traumas etc. This is what we finally gotta learn to accept and to live with. Otherwise the symptoms can go away or be greatly reduced.

    This is true. I complicate things by overthinking that I’m gonna have another panic attack. I had one a year ago and ever since I fell into the anxiety cycle and now every day I just fear of another one coming and then I’m going to lose control I literally fear this every day it even keeps me from driving far away alone, I just wanna go back to liveing carefree

    Hi Shaan. Thank you so much for making these videos, they have helped me a lot with my anxiety. I watched a video about desensitizing your nervous system. I have stopped taking supplements to help with it anxiety. It's been almost two weeks without it. But today has been a really bad day for me. I've been feeling headaches, tension in my neck, and shortness of breath. I am trying to control it but I feel really defeated. Is it normal to feel like this? Is it because my body was so used to the supplements?

      No problem. There are various recovery stages part of anxiety. You are going perfectly fine. Don't miss the chance to learn about recovery stage. Thoughts & emotions will not be same at all times of anxiety. I think currently I am slightly depressed and time is going past very slow and brain is also slow.

      Yes it does. I had anxiety before and I used to have symptoms of nausea and pain but I always used to brush it off. It was so heavy at times and I used to not pay much attention to it and kinda suppress it and distract myself by watching shows etc, I didn't knew it was lowkey anxiety but I knew my extreme pins and needles were due to my anxiety since I searched cuz I thought maybe pre diabetes since my mom passed away due to diabetes and cancer. Didn't bothered me that much. I recently lost my mom, then my aunt passed away who was paralyzed due to her anxiety cuz her hands used to go numb and eventually she went full on paralyzed. I was still coping well but then I had a huge fight with my dad in the middle of the night while I was extremely sick and after some time, I got a very bad panic attack. My whole body felt so heavy, weak and numb. It scared me and now my hands are numb that I can't even hold my phone. This is the only symptom that scares me now and I can't seem to shake it off. I guess it kinda was a wake up call for me too but still I can't wrap my head around it. It is too intense and the fact I have seen what it does is scaring me. Paralysis, seizures and epilepsy. I just can't anymore. I wasn't scared before about anything but now reality of mine is different and I hate it.

    In anxiety disorder, the head is always heavy, sometimes it hurts, there is a very bad feeling. I feel like something is going to happen to my head. Then I get very scared. Cityscan came up normal. Is it normal to have anxiety? How to recover from such severe headache. Has anyone recovered from such a situation?

    • @elmaxlife
      @elmaxlife Před 3 měsíci

      you need to invest in your sleep, sleep at regular hours, stop screens 1 hour before bed, and make a ritual before going to sleep, you could read a book or meditate.
      I've experienced severe headache or more like headache without pain, but pressure in the skull due to anxiety.
      it went away by itself, you need to take good habits, and avoid thinking to much about anxiety, let it be there, and meditate 2 times per day, it"ll help.
      I still have chronic anxiety, but the symptoms are getting better over the span of a few weeks.
