- It’s so easy to record your electronic drums using an iRig.
I’m using the original iRig. So it should be the iRig 1.
Got the iRig here:

Hope you're able to do the recording.
@@ezrankamal I am indeed! Works perfectly. Thanks again
@@laurieblacklock5716 hi, do i need a guitar cable to make it work?
@@qistinaaisyah2932 yeah you do. Like, a fat jack cable
@@qistinaaisyah2932 yes you do Qistina
it really usefull thankyou
Thanks man
I don't use an IRig but I always like people who share their knowledge with other people. This is a very helpful video for many drummers on CZcams. I watched the hole video and you did a great job my friend!👍🤛😎
Rob Nienhuis *whole* man
Great thx!
My amp is plugged into “left out mono”. Can I plug irig into right out so I can hear backing through my amp instead of headphones? Thank you
I just bought the iRig HD2 to use with my Roland TD11. Looking forward in using it soon
how is it?
@@ashtonchngyinqian8365 I couldnt get it to work for what I wanted it for so its just sits in the drawer. I bought a Go Mixer Pro X to do what I wanted to do.
Question? If my music or track comes with the drums and the source of it is my another iPad or iPhone. Should I increase the volume of my drum module and decrease the volume on my music source in order to level up my drum beat?
Hi thanks for the valuable advice. When you say press the record button... Is it the record button on the drum module or phone???
Hi sir..very helpful video..I got my edrum set..the only thing I just want to ask is, how the sound will be save in iphone automatically? Is it when i open the my gallery folder? Im using iphone 7plus
I have the roland td 1kv model and irig 1. My mix in music is from my laptop. When i connect my headphones to my irig, i cannot hear any sound from my drums and laptop. But when i recorded it, the sound is there although not when i am playing it. How can i hear my drums and music while video recording?
i have roland td-1dmk which doesn't have r/l(mono) outputs. it has mix in, and aux (headphones) out. if i use a 1/4 inch to aux cable going from irig to the headphone out port on the module, will that still work?
Hi I have the same module n plugged in juss how u explained. I plugged my earphones into the irig n I can hear the sound but there’s no drums comin out. Would u know why
hi bro
instead of using music source from a laptop, can i use usb music library plugged in to the drum module? will it captured the whole play along
There’s no mention here of where the headphones are interconnected, so that you can hear Edrums and music source. My Roland TD07KV only has one output and hence may need a splitter cable. One cable to IRIG and one to headphones.
THANKS for video! It seems like the iRig plugs into headphone jack of your phone - how does a headphone jack receive the Audio input to record sound - or am i way off? Thanks Again!!
Hello! I have the Roland td17kvx and would like to record the sound from the td17 (drums, song) to video from my smartphone camera at the same time. Can such a thing be done? thanks!
Does the sound also gets recorded? Or only the drums ?
I am trying this with a Roland TD-1 with the other setup being the same. However, when i press record on my iPhone, I can't monitor the music input or my drum sounds. But then, the recorded video has both! Any ideas how to fix this? thanks!
Does anyone have an idea how would I record an only drum cover while I'm using the built in metronome of the drums? I'm afraid Irig will also record the metronome which I don't want since I'm only recording a drum part in our online band.
terbaik bro Ezran tpi aku buat di drum lerik roland td-4kp guna irig tk bunyi pun di ipad mini4 lpas tu bli plak irig2 sama jgak cuba di gitar ok ja, sbb apa tlg ajar sat trima kasih.
Do you think it would be possible to use a microphone adapter for a GoPro then connect the iRig to that???
thanks for the video. but what Irig is this? is it specially made for drums? can you please write the model number? thank you
I have the Alesis strike pro se and just got all the parts but my iPhone 11 won’t pick up the music thru the headphone jack. Any advice? Thanks for the video!
How about roland TD1mk using irig1 ... do i need to buy lot of cables for connections ?
The td1mk module has only 3.5mm output ..
Very helpful, straight forward. Next make one for recording into Garage Band
That's a great idea!
@@ezrankamal I was surprised I just plugged my entry level module (Td-1dmk Roland) into USB port on MacBook pro and bam...Garage band worked perfectly with zero latency in laying down a track using their on line drum modules...no extra steps/equipment required for using pads as MIDI controllers...and some fun drum settings from pads that were rather odd
Can i record to a laptop using audacity and irig and ive got yamaha dd75?
What is you have a interface? Do the aux cord go in the interface or the drum module?
So useful! If there any chance, come and try our PocketDrum
That guitar cable which plugs into the module output, my drum module only have a 3.5mm output not 6.5mm.Will it work using a 3.5mm to 6.5 mm cable and i plug the guitar cable to end of that 6.5mm??
thanks guruji
How do you listen through headphone while drum cover?
Thanks.....
Hi can the irig be used as a midi interface to record songs?
I got a problem, my phone is a type c, when I use " 3.5 to type c converter ", the sound is totally bad.
But my original old 3.5 phone is perfect
How can I fix it? thanks
Not working on iphone 12 pro max thru video of phone camera. Where can I find the record of the sound from drum module with background music?
hi sir this irig1 for iphone only? not works for other phone like oppo or samsung? pls reply me thanks
So, this should work with GarageBand and other DAWS programs, right?
Will this work the same for a electric guitar thanks
I’ve done everything you’ve said but it’s not picking up any sound at all even the music. Please help also when I’m recording on my phone all I can hear is me hitting the drum pads
Hello! Probably your phone cannot recognize irig input as a mic...therefore, it picks audio signals from built in phone mic....some phones need permission before using external mic...check out if yours has this issue....i hope that helps!
Does this then record in mono only. Can you record in stereo?
Thankyou
Eurides Amaral no prob!
Switch on speakers or not while recording?
What guitar cable do I buy I’m looking something affordable
Does it work with any guitar interface adapter
Thanks so much for this, it’s massively helpful as I’m in the intimidating process of buying my first e-kit soon.
As I record on my phone/irig through one of the module outputs, can I play through a drum amp on the other output without interfering with the recording? Basically I want to be able to record video without wearing headphones but still able to hear both drums and music. Will my music source (iPad) that’s plugged into mix-in play through the amp along with my drumming? Total noob here lol thanks again.
Oh boy! I haven’t tested this method before so I can’t tell. Sorry bout that. 😅
Have a great one with your new drum kit though. You’ll enjoy it!! Keep me updated. Will subscribe! 🥳
Awesome explanation - new subscriber, my only question is does the irig work on android/samsung?
You will need a lighting adaptor
Where can I buy this i rig device. And what's its cost in India?
Can I use it for roland spd 30?
Mix in and Aux in are the same thing right?
Thanks for the video.
So, my smarpthpone will record in that video my drum kit and the song that im playing or only my drum kit?
It'll record both your drum kit and the song.
hii please i cant get the drum sound from phone im using iphone 11 pro any help please
Hello my friend i can do that with roland td07kv module thanks
Hi Ezran, Thanks for the info. A question : if you go from the I Rig to the mono out of your drum module doesn’t you only get a mono sound on your I phone instead of stereo?
Yaboroqé yea I should think you’d get a mono sound. But hey...it worked well for my first few drum covers. So no complaints from me. Hehe!
Yaboroqé i think they have a stereo version.
For Android smartphone Huawei p30 pro does irig 2?
Question:
Can you use the Irig on the camcorder or laptop?
EpicSonic14 Good question. Haven’t tested it out though...
Sorry I don’t know the answer to that question...
Actually if you’re interested in knowing I actually do use the irig 2 for my drum covers and it captures the audio just fine
For anyone in the USA you can go to any local music store such as Sam Ash or guitar center to name a few and buy one
The do tend to be a bit more expensive... almost $20 if you need one ASAP
But just in case anyone wanted to know the difference or was wondering about it 👍
But can it capture the music too or just ur drumming, Because i wanna do Drum Covers
@@adinitedrummer248 yeah the smaller if you look at my channel my very first 3 covers were off my android you know
It'll work fine
You just trim off the edges and that's that
When you ver more advanced you slowly upgrade your equipment
Do you also have a roland kit?
@@alexcasta135 Im 2 Years late but my kit is an alesis😂
@@adinitedrummer248 lol no worries I'm still rocking the Roland td30
Have you figured out how to record yourself or still trying to figure it out?
@@alexcasta135 I tried by using a daw and ez drummer but it did not work maby because i have an old kit which is the alesis dm6 and im planning to change it soon But for now i ordered the irig and ill record with it, Thank You Though And great drumming!!
Hello brother. Thanks for your informative video. Followed everything you said and it works perfectly BUT seems I can't listen to the music whats playing, big problem. I think you have the solution for this. (I'm using Laptop, youtube drumless tracks, Samsung S8+ and IRig with it). Thanks in advance
Hey. Well, it depends. I'm only familiar with my drum module. What module are you using?
Do you need to install any software on to the iphone? I've got it all set up right but the iphone is only recording the natural sound in the room and not the sound from the module. Any help would be hugely appreciated.
im having the same problem, have you get any solutions?
The setup is super good. But, where do you listen ? I need one output which goes into my ears to play the song
Santosh Samrat Are u using the same drum module? The TD-11
hello everyone!!! sorry is this irig only with i phone / i pad compatible???
thanks a lot :))
Mix in the same meaning of aux in?
But it's a great video
So you need two devices 1 to play the music back on and 1to record you said your tablet and then you said you were going into your phone
Hi Ezran. Very nice instruction video, my complimente. One question: When i record my e-drums through the iRig, i don’t hear my drumsound but only the acoustic sound coming directly from the sticks hitting the pads.
which exit of the kit do you connect the irig?
@@guicunha222 L/mono
@@STiP123 should be working then...
@@guicunha222 i will check again
Ever get this to work? Having the same issue
Can you do this with Roland td-1dmk
Can i record just my drums without the background music?
Nice tutorial man. 😁 I have a question, my drum module (roland td1k) is haven't L(mono) out put. The out put is just single 3.5mm port. Can I use adapter (guitar cable) 6.5mm to 3.3mm ?? Thanks
sounds like it could work. But don't take my word for it.
Okay. thank you for replying
I have the td 1kv model but i can't hear the drums and sounds in my headphones, but i can record it. How to solve this?
Does irig cable work on Android?
I have a question: So I've read that you HAVE TO use a guitar cable to connect the iRig with the drummodule, but my drummodule (TD-1) only has an aux-output. So does that mean it doesn't work with my drummodule or do I need some adapter or something? I would reaally appreciate someone helping me out
You need splitter
Thanks for the video, how do you listen it in ear to what youre playing while recording?
Through the headphone output through the module. It overlaps with the current sounds/music that I'm hearing...
Thanks bro! What’s the best gain and volume ratio during recording?😊
@@Phroney87 lol! I’ve got no preference on that. Whatever sounds good to your ears I guess. 😂
is it really dollar or ringgit?
for android phone usser go donwload the cINEMA FB -LITE camera apps on playstore it works on irig1
Do you mean Cinema Fv 5 Lite?
But the captured sound a bit delayed. How to solve this? Thanks..
@@edzeki actually use AudioVideoRecorder lite it's much better
I cant record my music using my iphone 13 sir..how to fix it?
Hi can you tell me, if this also records our voice if we speak like a small introduction before the recording?
Nope. It won't record your voice. It'll take the direct input from your source.
