In the last part, we had Goku and Vegeta fight each other once more, but with various forms of Majin acting as their vassals. Good Buu and Goku vs Evil Buu and Vegeta; these titans went against one another but in the end, thanks to their better union and more cohesive ethics, Buuku won as Buugeta tore itself apart thanks to its bizarre and less condusive means to work together. After all this became clear to the prince, in Buugeta's body, he ultimately had to admit that this was the right place in which to destroy the evil within Good Buu's heart and thusly nullify the wrath that Babidi and like had in mind for this universe. Even though he was being stubborn, Vegeta relented eventually and it led to Evil Buu being destroyed...but he couldn't quite let go the fact that if it hadn't been for him being there and his strength, they would've lost. If you remember the last chapter, Gohan and Goku got plenty angry with all of this posturing. Ultimately, Good Buu was allowed to live amongst the likes of Goku and family but it did leave Gohan lacking in the ultimate power department, at least for now...or would someone else go after that plum?

You’re forgetting one major hole. Golden Frieza wouldn’t have come back. Because Vegeta spent all that time annihilating all remnants of the empire before returning to earth. Which, he did in the show, but they kinda forgot about that.
He clearly missed Sorbet, Kikono and Berryblue, they're the ones who rebuild after Vegeta's rampage, same thing happened here.
Vegeta staying a cunning jerk throughout this scenario was nice and honestly I love seeing him win at the end. Sure it's not fun for everyone, but hey life ain't always easy and not all stories have a happy conclusion.....tho honestly the fact that Frieza being resurrected and Vegeta not even reacting to it at all feels a bit off, but hey that's my take on it.....unless there's a bonus part int the works???
Ah yes, I remember this one. It's hilarious how unlikeable Vegeta is in this story, which makes sense, but also makes it a little hard to watch at points since he faces no consequences.
It kinda feels realistic that someone of Vegeta's cunning could evade his comeuppance.
Oh yeah that was largely my biggest issue with this What If, the ending of the What If feels so out of place for Dragon Ball to me, that makes this is my least favourite What If.
I find Vegeta being able to manipulate Beerus and Whis, beyond even April Fools levels of What Iffery. Which makes me a bit sad because I love the concept of the What if itself. But that's just me i think. ^^
This is the only What If, where I'd have wanted Masako to redo the ending of all the existing What Ifs

@@TheUncivilizedNation I can understand him attempting too certainly, I just don't see Whis not seeing through it, especially when all he had to do was look into his staff and confirm what happened ^^ It would be extremely easy for Whis to see through it, which is why I find it hard to see why Whis wouldn't. I know there is an aspect of "Well Beerus and Whis are not friends t o the Z Fighters" but that is equally true of Vegeta :D I'd also expect this to happen if Whis is actually considering Vegeta as a Destroyer candidate.
@@gotenksjr To me it's less about the ending and more about how Vegeta has so many chances to be humbled, but never learns anything. Watching Goku be endlessly bullied and driven to the breaking point by Vegeta ain't fun if there's no payoff.
Buu and Goku should have ended Vegeta after their fight, he deserved it.

Honestly, I don’t think Vegeta is as victorious as he thinks. Sure, he achieved his goal for ultimate power and immortality but… now what? Saiyans find thrill in a challenge, but now nothing is challenging to him anymore. He can easily decimate his enemies, and even though he’s immortal, he still has a mortal way of thinking, he’ll eventually be dissatisfied with the lack of worthy opponents.
Over time, eternal life will become a mere routine for Vegeta. And I believe that unlike his canonical counterpart, Vegeta won’t feel so fulfilled for long. He won’t feel happy for long. He’ll become numb.
I don’t think he’ll feel regret or miss the people he came to know on Earth. But he would be plagued by this hollowness of something missing in his life. But with his obsession to keep his power, he’ll never realize the true happiness he unknowingly lost.
Who knows, maybe he’ll end up like Beerus and sleep for thousands of years on end to get away from the nothingness that’s his way of living forever on.
Also, I find it hard to believe that Vegeta could basically trick Beerus and Whis, ESPECIALLY Whis. Like if angels and gods easily believe word-of-mouth claims, the entire universe should be gone long ago.
So in order for Vegeta to find purpose in his eternal life he has to do his job as destroyer? Sounds like a good thing for Universe 7. A destroyer who cares because he has nothing better to do. Unlike Beerus who never did the job

He didn't trick any of them, especially Whis, he could see the truth using that orb in his staff anytime, what happened is that Beerus didn't give a damn about Earth and Goku didn't impress him, Vegeta was already miles ahead of anything Goku did in canon at that moment so he didn't care at all about Earth, maybe Whis told Beerus everything but still he didn't care that Goku was tricked and wronged by Vegeta.

Honestly, I think something similar happen in what if kid Goku got Super Saiyan. Vegeta turned Super Saiyan on Namek and he and Goku jumped Freeza.

While I liked the idea of Vegeta not completely developed given the circumstances of this scenario, even to the point of abandoning his family, the potential is there but was half baked at the end. We all learn from our mistakes, and definitely a scenario to revisit in the future.
Yeah, uh... I think Gohan not reacting at all to his father's death is kinda iffy... I mean, he let out SSJ2 for #16, but not for his own parent? the one that trained him and always believed in him?.. I think Gohan would just slap Vegeta out of his way.
@youdom5 I agree, i also think, Goku would seek out Supreme Kai to undergo same training. Sure that wouldn't be enough against Golden Frieza, But at least the fight would be long enough for Vegeta would either feel the powerup, or at least Earth being gone... I don't really think he would completely abandon it, Once again it would come down to Beerus personally having to stop him, otherwise he would either prevent destruction of Earth, or at least wish it restored with everyone with Namec Balls.
once again it would come to Beerus to stop him at keep feeding his god ego to cement his disattachment from mortals. But i think he would use cats nap to run to Namec to restore everyone. Only to be met with hate and resentment from them all... And then Beerus appearing besides him saying "so you still had attachments to them, and yet you see how mortals repay for godly generosity... was it really worth it?"... Vegeta being attacked by ultimate Goku hears how Bulma blames him, how Trunks hates him. Then. Then Vegeta powers up as Hakaishin and Hakai's Earth. Forever. Finally, He is complete, no longer a mortal, but a proper unbound god, ready to replace Beerus when time comes.

The ultimate “bad ending” what if!
I really like this What If, but I have an issue with it.
Vegeta would have never gotten to the world of the Kais to train because it's been established that Shin can read minds, so he would have known Vegeta's intent from the start.
Yea but. Schin is SUPER incompetent like INSANELY incompetent
Vegeta is more enjoyable to watch when he has an upper hand, and goku is more enjoyable when he is on a backfoot. So this keeps the the dynamic of Saiyan saga Vegeta. Which is a welcome change

I'm actually excited by the idea of remaking your older stuff. We know a heck of a lot more lore now than we did when you started most of these and your presentation and style have gone even further beyond ( 😏) as well. Also thank you for all you so for us Lawrence, it means the world having your quality story telling to look forward to.😄
I like what ifs that don’t always end happily. Since the original stories were meant to go the way they were supposed to. To get a satisfactory ending
there is a minor error here, that scene where vegeta cannot turn super saiyan anymore is just not how ultimate works.
you can clearly see gohan using SS multiple times after unlocking the form.
elder kais qoute was not that you *cant* use super saiyan anymore, just that you should not need to because you are presumably strong enough already.
Maybe a hot take, but I _love_ this one. With suspension of disbelief, it's fun to see Geets a rare W, and I like to imagine he ended up getting Mastered Ultra Ego or something, before learning about Frieza's resurrection, and hunting him down.

I can imagine Vegeta keeping frieza as a pet, with how vast the power gap would be between them >:)

I think that's what happened in this what if. At the end of this what if Zeno just nuked everything.

Trunks' timeline existed beyond the year when T.O.P happened.
The Zenos only thought about destroying the universes after they got bored of playing with eachother.
I think this is a good one Vegeta was treated fairly and nothing felt forced. good buu was MVP by the way.
While this what if was interesting, there is for sure somethings that felt off, as a extra there is a MAJOR plot hole, you specifically said on the history that vegeta had destroyed absolutely EVERYTHING regarding the freeza empire, not only cold but even soldiers and everything, meaning that resurrection f literally couldn't happen because nobody on the empire would be alive to make it happen.

I do feel that underestimated the role Bulma had on Vegeta's character growth.
I enjoyed the story but wish we got an alternative to the ending. Something where Goku is able to beat resurrected Freeza and prove his worth to Beerus and Whis for training. Could lead to the Universe 6 tournament with interesting character interactions and possibly Vegeta Black! Which would make the Future Trunks arc even more interesting. I hope you consider a continuation Masako. Love your content!
Maybe have Goku train with the kais. Ultimate Goku plus time chamber ?

Alright let's see what this one's all about. Kind of scared masako's just going to do Vegeta like he always does though. If not in the beginning, probably part 2 or 4 or whatever. Masako treats Vegeta like toriyama treats yamcha. Don't get me wrong I love your videos, you are incredibly creative and you have an amazing talent for writing. Just kind of making an observation or expressing myself really. I mean if it was really a problem I wouldn't be here. Forever a fan Masako, I am forever a fan. PS best Goku ever. Usually the one I hear in my head instead of Sean's, even when thinking about the official release.

Rewatching this story in its entirety, and being reminded how unlikeable Vegeta was makes me think of an alternative where maybe Vegeta didn't go Super Saiyan first but rather instead after he becomes a bit more of a family man thats when he grows stronger than Goku (cause honestly I just hate seeing Goku win all the time)
I would like an alternative ending where Goku finds ways to grow stronger on his own Such as attaining super saiyan four and working to evolve that maybe gain limit breaker or add kaioken on top of it to prove himself, i dont know. It felt a bit bittersweet to see a ending where Vegeta really got away with everything
I would love to see how Vegeta got GOD position when Frieza is still around and would probably still hunt him down. Would Frieza think to use the DB to find his location?
He will not mess with Vegeta, Goku probably told Frieza what Vegeta was up to and Frieza is not dumb to mess with Beerus, at least not at that moment, I'm sure Vegeta probably requested Beerus to take care of Frieza after that but I guess Beerus would forbid him to go after Frieza because Frieza basically do Beerus's job for him lol.

If goku has spent all that time with buu and remember from super buu has god ki, then suffice to say there’s a very high likelihood that goku actually obtains god ki without knowing especially if they train with one another which they would have definitely done

Ok I didn’t know about this What If so I thought this was an April fools one until I saw your old setup
Almost halfway through and I don't know what everyone's complaining about. This is going pretty well. Vegeta even lost to the Androids and got tricked by cell. That sounds like consequences to me.
One thing that doesn't really work in this is that Shin can read minds and he should be able to see through vegetas facade when it comes to the special training
Pretty much all of the Z Fighters can read minds though, Goku read Krillin's in the Namek Saga and Piccolo asked for help with telepathy in the Android Saga
So it would make perfect sense that Shin wouldnt be able to read the mind of one of them without their consent since they are much more powerful than him, and I dont think he would push Vegeta for that considering he wants to give him the benefit of the doubt which is not something you do by showing distrust doing stuff like reading someone's mind

What if Goku never lost his tail and fully utilized his oozaru form throughout the series. Throw in a dragon wish in the dragonball time frame to regrow his tail whenever it is removed.
This is definitely not one of the What Ifs I thought would come to scale. Seeing as how you aren't proud of it yourself.
I'm still interested in seeing more of the Good Boy 21 story since we now have Broly and SuperHero to work with. Seeing 21 buff up to "Ultra Super Saiyan" to try and scare Broly by beefing up physically. Or seeing how 21 and the Powerhouse duo would figure in seeing Max.
Or how the Jeice Brigade would handle more of the Super Story. Interesting choices to be made here
I quite liked this one, both at the time and even now, especially the battle of the buus.
Here all major issues regarding this what if:
-Resurrection F can't happen, it was stated that vegeta had destroy everything of the freeza empire both king cold and remnants, nobody would be alive to cause the arc to start.
-Shin wouldn't be able to be tricked by vegeta, while shin is naive at times he has power to read people minds as stated in the original history, he would be able to read vegeta mind and see that he's trying to trick them, and he would FOR SURE do it with someone that is asking to be trained.
-The super saiyan god ritual wouldn't work because it's stated only 5 pure hearts saiyans would be able to cause the ritual to happen, not only vegeta is not pure heart at all, even goku probably stopped being pure heart with his personality shifting over the years, majin goku and etc, wouldn't even be surprised if this version of goku couldn't use the kintoun/flying nimbus.
The last issue not really something with 100% proof like the other issues but.
-Whis and Beerus wouldn't be tricked by vegeta that easily, you give way too much credits on vegeta's manipulation skills.
Overall after reading your pinned comment, i'm glad you noticed the issues on this tale and learned the best via experience, i will be excited looking forward to your other histories.

Well that's sad. Vegeta just basically screws over two Earths (Goku's and Future Trunk's) and doesn't get any consequences for it.

EHHHH You specifically took time to mention how Vegeta was extra deliberate in hunting down ALL remnants of the Freiza Force...so the ending does not count.
25:17 That's exactly the moment Goku should've blasted away completely the entrance of the Time Chamber, he and Gohan worked pretty hard to remove the gap between them and Vegeta, there was no reason to simply allow Vegeta to use the chamber again and let him surpass them easily and be the top dog again since Vegeta was not a true ally and friend at this point. If Piccolo was alive and if he was there at that moment I could him doing just that after a quick thought. Goku and the rest of the good guys made so many mistakes in this scenario during and after the Cell games concerning Vegeta that I'm almost convinced they deserved the ending of this scenario lol
Well so far this is different than what I would have expected. Nothing unnecessary is being done to Vegeta and the logic is completely sound.

I still think Zeno will still erase the 7th universe along universe 6 and 9 because of their low mortal level.

@@frieza1016 I think they were talking about how earlier in this story, SSJ Vegeta went around and destroyed the remnants of the Freeza Force up to and including King Cold before returning to Earth for his rematch with Goku.

I can only guess that vegeta missed some spots, which I think wouldn't be totally unrealistic... it's a galactic sized empire (or more?) and Vegeta is only 1 (super) Saiyan, that plus vegeta's attitude...
@@frieza1016 we’re gonna have to go with that. Honestly, Masako admits this wasn’t his best story, so maybe he’ll redo it in the future and be more consistent with it.

Was buu present in resurrection f?
Surely goku would have tried to combine with buu in hope that buuku could absorb or at least turn frieza into candy. Goku would be well aware frieza would let his guard down and get up close to rub in pain. Which with buukus durability he should have much more chances to do so.
And even though frieza would still be as strong in candy form. He probably wouldnt be able to destroy earth without access to ki blasts. Im assuming he cant since vegito never did so
I would like to see Buuku using Super Saiyan to fight off Frieza.

Honestly I love the idea of a weaker Rival of F Vegeta ( he doesn't have Goku as a trainer partner/ rival to push him) getting beaten down by a stronger golden Frieza, ( who would have probably been as strong as TOP Frieza after having a living body to train with) all of the cheating and crimes he committed finally caught with him and in the end he ends up exactly were he began under Friezas foot, he truly didn't learn anything ( a fitting end I think for this Vegeta)
Also Masako, have you ever thought about trying to rewrite any of your previous what-ifs now that you have 5 years worth of story telling under your guys' belts?

@@robertpirtle7642 I have minor tweaks to the Raditz one. No plot changes but when Raunch goes back with Trunks instead of mentioning her by name just leaving it blank so the reader/listener doesn't know who she is. And then maybe including her which I know would change most of the android saga since he didn't come up with the character until afterwards. And also just cleaning up the Zamasu arc timeline where the order of events is a little skewered
I do feel it would make since to assert dominance and spare Goku. While he is egotistical, there is a since of honor and he would "repay" Goku by sparing his like, like was done on round 1
this story is so frustrating because vegeta faces absolutely no repercussions for his actions, and it also ignores the fact that it was goku who gave the multiverse a fighting chance by pitching the tournament of power to zeno, otherwise zeno was planning to simply destroy the universes with low mortal levels regardless

It's a good thing you didn't mention bulma and kid trunks too much in this what if cause wow try describing how mentally broken they are with how vegeta is behaving here , they're probably more broken here than how they were in the future timeline.

38:00 There's a few reason why the z warriors aren't able to sense his power level.
To be far I enjoy seeing a evil Goku.
1. DBZ characters can easily hide their power levels from others, in a normal day to day.
2. In this What If he can use the teleport skill, so they could think he left the planet for training/something.
3. Using the time chamber.
4. Death.
Basically the Time Chamber, is the only way, to be able to not sense one power level. So if they couldn't send else his P.L. They are other reasons for it disappearing.
Also Goku really should be upset if his Rival is doing his own special training. Goku never shared his skill to the other Z fighters. Which if he did it could of help and save the others lives.

20:00 hey, @MasakoX it would be cool if you'd add a scene where Bulma explains to Vegeta why Gero and his droids are fix'd on Goku, that Goku had destroyed RR Army. That would calm down Vegeta and give one of few good remarks about Goku "oh yeah, so he wasn't so useless after all, good riddance" lol

I know this is an older story, and still deserving some time to shine (and I really enjoyed it, regardless: the sheer unlikability of Vegeta made me chuckle throughout the whole thing)
But the very same moment you mentioned Golden Frieza beating Goku and exploding Earth, I though: "Wait... didn't you said, an hour and something ago, that Vegeta wiped out the *entire* Frieza Empire specifically in order to not leave loose ends and prevent that Frieza could somehow return in *any* way?" XD
