8:45 Can we talk about Wesley trolling the camera ? đ
Hahaha
Always finding some evidence delusional fanatical boys of Naka đđđ go cry delusional clown fans of Naka until SGM Wesley becomes World Chess Champion soon in God's perfect time lets seeâŒïžâđżâïžđșđžđ”đâ€ïž
I remember kobe bryant
LOL
He was like. "Uhhh. Where do i go now? Like here?"
You know Hikaru really cares about someone when he handshakes his opponent instead of walking out despite being really mad.
I heard So helped hikaru during fisher championship and it played huge role in hikaru victory. He had to overcome anger for their relationship
@@kacperperzynski7488 they're just good acquaintances, wesley is a super nice guy, he even watches hikaru's streams regularly
Ehm... tbf he would handshake anyone sitting in that chair
Yeah because showing sportmanship and shaking anothers player hand at the end of the game is something to brag about
@@mielone95 It is since hardly ever happens in chess.
8:26 That reaction from Naka đ, I feel sorry for the mouse. đ
GGs to all the players, it was so fun to watch!
Also the commentators by the way. They are doing a spectacular job making this an exciting show to watch.
Props to Wesley So, such a consistent player.
Why he lost in chess960
So has beein in the top 10 for the last 5 years. Very consistent player. I feel like he is good offensively he just want to play normal and safe chess and let his opponent make mistakes.
â@@jermainerodgers because you cant win everything in chess? So has won so many tournament chess already.

wesley has the power of God and anime on his side
bruh wtf anime was sent from the devil for sure
@@joedorben3504 meaning he has the power of both god and satan on his side đđ
@@joedorben3504 Anime is shorthand for "animation". It's just a medium; a tool. The tool itself is neither intrinsically good nor evil, but how the tool is being used determines this.
@@joedorben3504 Wow, such a bias narrow minded view
Whoa! been getting chess videos recommended to me lately... didn't know Wesley has come so far now... I remember playing chess with him back in High School and the teachers were talking about how he's such a genius...
I was a Sophomore back then and he was in 6th grade. Good times... good times...
Props to the commentators, made the match more exciting!
Wesley So should dress as IP Man his next finals. Shit would be đ„¶đ„¶đ„¶
Bruh, he does oddly look like IP Man HAHAHAHAHAHHHhAHA
@@urielroderos2579 factsssss bro. Shit would be the coldest fit. The traditional Chinese wear is so damn sick imo.
He's Filipino tho, but yeah he looks like ip man
Or Donnie yen to be exact
@@TaxCollector25 true. I'd say IP man because we know he means business
Great recap, this is what I subscribe for.
Aman and Danya compliment each other perfectly.
Love Fabi being there and providing analysis!!!!!
Inside, everyone know this was the real final.
That last game was amazing to watch
Wesley trolling with the camera man lmfao
that was a spectacular match, what a relief of Wesley winning it
NO ONE GAVE WESLEY A CHANCE!! LET'S GOOO!!!
When you didnt resign online, but resign offline
Both you guys are excellent with your prosody matching the pivotal moments and trends in the game.
Daniel, consider adding ensconced to your already broad SAT vocabulary. Ensconced was a favorite word of Alex Trebek. Nice synonym for entrenched c5 Knight as used in the game.
The other commentator almost pulled off long distance relationship with the pieces during Soâs time pressure.
Both of you would have chances to be well compensated commentators in other fields!
This was a really well done video.
danya is an amazing shoutcaster oh my gosh
Wow, what an incredible match!! truly awesome to watch!
LOVE THE HYPECASTING! THIS IS WHAT CHESS NEEDS!
Chess players should have something to release the energy after a tough loss. Maybe some training dummy for Hikaru to beat up right next to the player seats.

I really want to see this next match, especially after that one.
Commentary has been amazing right throughout.
If I had to win just one game, against either one of these guy's, I'd go into hiding. đ€Ł
Legend has it that to this day Hikaru has not changed his shirt.
EPIC match. Love them both!
GM Hikaru played really good. Felt great though when GM So won. Great broadcast.
this was the actual final!!!
No offense to the opponent So fought in the finals, but for me, THIS WAS THE REAL FINALS. Insane match!
They obviously played the moves that I already predicted

wesley looked so happy
What a fantastic song in the background. Does anyone know the title?
I knew it Wesley is a GENIUS
he played So good
9:02 I didn't know this was fide rated tournament.
8:35 :don't mind {Hikaru}
Magnus: haha the rook!
So Happy for Wesley kinda sad for Hikaru..
The sports carters hyped me out.
Congrats Wesley
It's a delight to see Wesley thriving in the top of the Chess world.
Good thing his talents were taken by US, otherwise he would rot in the Philippine team.
in world chess olympiad i think he is the team captain.
Danya was made for this
Itâs not everyday where we see Hikaru loses a Rapid event. Truly momentous event for So.
So Beat Hikaru on Rapid multiple times in their career..
@@mikhail6884 when you say multiple, you actually mean 2, right? Wesley even said it in the interview.
not enough bobblehead caused the loss
That was Awesome ngl
These guys are so good. This was fun
My pea sized brain can't even comprehend Wesley's Rd8 move, it looks like a blunder but obviously there's more to it. Couldn't Hikaru take the rook and save the queen? Great players very clutch games
Hikaru will lose the game if he didn't take it with a Queen
If Hikaru takes the rook with his own rook then Nc6+ forces the king onto the back rank (otherwise checkmate) and then Wesley's other rook comes down to fork king and queen.
@@markritchie8874 Thanks I see it now
that last match gave me anxiety
Wes coming out from 5 seconds remaining versus Hikaru's 28 seconds was just houdini move by Wes. Other GMs would
have crumbled vs Hikaru with that low time pressure.
Congrats idol
Wesley has nerves of steel
Let's go Wesley!
Is this tournament FIDE rated ?

Let's go So!
Where's Magnus
why arent they playing over the board while being in the same room!?
Does he got a chance if he continued knight e4 then knight c3?
Where the hell is this tournament being held. A warehouse?
Actually a pretty nice place, likely a convention hall in a Toronto hotel.
But, for what you as a broadcast viewer could see which were mostly staging, it could have been anywhere including a warehouse.
if Hikaru had won that last game it would have been legendary...
Eh, Hikaru didn't come back to become a world champ when he had the chance years ago
That last game of there Match if SGM Wesley never uses some exhibition moves then your Naka easily defeated badly and thats the fact âŒïžâđżâïžâ€ïžđșđžđ”đ
Proud Pinoy!!!
GG Hikaru couldnt win the money to pay Hansđą
what was hika exactly saying at last game ?
These players are great. They have the potential to become GM.
Yeah very promising young talents. They should just do away with peer pressure and listen to their teachers in school then maybe only maybe then they can attain a good level to become IM. GM is a long shot but not unattainable.

Proud Filipino here. What a great match
He switched sides tho. So plays for the US.
After seeing your senate in action, however, I really can't blame him....
@@Moepowerplant You're not wrong. We even hate our own government. But we still support him despite repping a new flag. We love him, but our government doesn't.
Wow.
Wouldn't have been a comeback if Wesley hadn't opted for that weird trade at Rd8. He was just clearly better. As great as Hikaru is, he didn't force Wesley's hand here. Wes got carried away and gave Hikaru a lifeline.
He gave away a lead to simplify the game knowing that Hikaru is extremely difficult to deal with the more pieces he has on the board. Obviously he didn't want that end game, but he still only needed a draw where-as Hikaru needed a win.
@@Tyrantofthewind I hear you. But simplification is trading similar pieces with your less active pieces which are not crucial to your position so that your advantage increases. Wesley created an unnecessarily dynamic position when he was already winning, moreover he lost all of his advantage. In fact, the position became much more practical and easy for Hikaru to play as all his remaining pieces were active and well-coordinated, whereas for Wesley one wrong move and he could get into a completely losing position. All he had to do was to plant his knight on c6 and push his king-side pawns like a normal game and he was +3. That is a completely winning position for top GMs even against someone like Magnus.
