The whole Bungie fiasco surfacing now puts the sudden retirement of Jim Ryan in a new light. It is clear that Sony realized that the heavy betting on live services that was spearheaded by Ryan was a mistake and politely advised him to fly off with his golden parachute (bearing in mind that Ryan did make great contributions to Playstation in the past)so that they can now work on course corrections.
At the same time, Jim Ryan was only trying to fix PlayStation's development troubles and make the company more sustainable; those $300 million AAA exclusives aren't a viable business model long-term. So, on paper, a live service pivot made sense. Having some hit GAAS games could definitely help find the singleplayer AAA mtx-free games. But the problem with Jim Ryan is that he pivoted way too far into the live service direction. Making 12 GAAS in the span of 3-5 years was a massive mistake

The Doom multiplayer looks like it's going to be fun!
Would it be nice that when they have Quake Con that they would actually introduce a new Quake game?
cant wait til i can watch NewsWave/youtube on Satellaview...
I belive that vampire survivor was held this longe as a marketing strategy.
Like as the game runs cold for a time , you make a reprise to bust some sales a bit
Anything related to original Doom and Doom 2, I get.
Cardio and Newswave 💪 ❤
Doom 1&2 just appeared on my Steam library and now i can play it on GeForce Now.
I already knew the Borderlands movie was gonna be bad the moment it had Kevin Hart. Like you don't get Kevin Hart to play as one of the main characters for the first game and a vital and important role for the 2nd. You get someone like Terry Crews. Such a fail, a sad fail. :/
I bought a Steam key of Doom I and II on Fanatical because I thought you needed both for the upgrade, but you only need one and now I have a key of Doom I I can’t use as the upgraded package has the game included. The games only cost 1.74 a piece, so it’s no big deal.
The moment I saw the cast of the Borderlands movie, I knew it was going to suck hard.
People like Kate Blanchett and Kevin Hart have zero credibility when they're supposed to play characters from this grimey apocalyptic scenario. lmfao
12:42 What if I already have it on the SNES?🤣
Its the beginning of the end of independence of Bungie. Sony gave Bungie one final shot last year after the layoffs to meet their financial goal this year with The Final Shape to keep their independence, and most certainly they failed to meet that. Now Sony is gonna bring their people into Bungie to evaluate the company and likely manage the company altogether. Of the times they were able to get their independence from Microsoft and Activision, this time they is no chance. Nobody to blame but Bungie management for doing this to themselves.
Firesprite canceling twisted metal probably put them out of business. I won't be buying any firesprite game
