I once was unsure if Edward Snowden -- who leaked documents showing that the NSA spied on Americans -- was a hero, or a traitor who made us all less safe.
Now I've done my research, and I think he's a hero. What do you think? Our full interview, above, will help you decide.

State TV (Fox News at the moment until it changes) go out of their way to constantly get it into trumps heads to not pardon him. Every guest that talks about him calls him a traitor. Usually that speaker is connected To the govt. nobody outside the government would call him a traitor. That’s how we know we can’t trust the govt . The whole country agrees with Snowden and what he did was the right thing. How is it that it’s the govt vs civilians? They are supposed to represent us. And they aren’t. What happened was so insanely unconstitutional, that I find it hard to believe that calling him a traitor is enough to undermine his efforts to expose what happened.

Unless its whistle blower against Trump, and those claims were false. The swamp runs deep.
I don't disagree, however he's not just a whistleblower - he gave away national security secrets. As a security analyst myself - he could have culled the information he released a helluva lot better than he did. No problem - give away program names, general procedures, etc. - basically proof of what is happening. There was no reason to indicate the exact methodologies to our enemies. That's the problem he has. A Pardon won't even help him in some regards unfortunately. The President can pardon him of Federal offenses - he cannot protect him from civil offenses nor military tribunals.

Even President Trump thought he could “drain the swamp” but a swamp has no beginning and it has not end it just goes on and on.
Their are many who are nice and have moral fortitude, not many who have integrity that can’t be bought at some point in time. Not many men will sacrifice their own lives for the good of their countries. So their countries will know how much the Government lies. Lying to Congress is a criminal offense and yet those who we know are lying to Congress have to pay no consequences for their deeds or their lies but we do.😳

I served in the US Army for 24 years. We were all taught that "I was following orders," was not a defense of wrong doing. We were obligated to refuse to follow illegal orders. Snowden saw what happened to others who tried to report illegal activities. Snowden did the right thing. Mr President, please pardon Snowden.

I did 4 in the marines and 19 in the Army. I know what you are saying but at the same time he took an oath and I can say that my team have done things that may be considered illegal by an average citizen but I took an oath and my word in my bond. If you get and unlawful order you report it via chain of command. You dont release classified info to the public.

A pardon implies guilt. Any charges against Snowden should be dropped.

Look what they did to Shaffer cox. 28 years in prison for doing nothing more than telling the truth. There are hundreds of these people in federal prisons today. Most in supermax prisons with no contact to the outside world.
Pardoning him is it. That's the onky way he will ever be able to come home. But,it won't happen. He threw the DNC under the bus. The Clinton's, obamas. And because Trump is a socialist Democrat, he won't pardon Snowden. It just isn't going to happen. If it was going to it would have already happened.

I was in the military when he exposed the NSA and I just couldn't believe what he did and I hated him for it. I felt betrayed by him, like he somehow put my life in danger. That's kind of the message that was put out to us.
After getting out and realizing more and more of the government's lies, I can appreciate what he did. I think he should be pardoned because he stood up to a system that was wrong and that shouldn't make him a criminal.

I was caught in the same trap by the fake news. After seeing how they treated President Trump a light came on in my mind, maybe Snowden was a patriotic after all. I think the president should pardon him. But i'm afraid if he comes back to the country the deep state will kill him.

Most employees would never say a word about criminal activity at any of these alphabet agencies. With the fear of losing their jobs or pensions it's easy to keep employees mouths shut. Snowden is a rare individual.

In a world full of spineless cowards, Snowden is a breath of fresh air.
Snowden was a whistleblower for ethical, justifiable reasons. He took the chance that, through his actions, he might suffer gravely, and yet he still acted. This is a true heroism.
And the major media outlets could report on this more. Both major political parties are fine with him not receiving a pardon. This is a mess.

Nobody seems to even know though. You, they all bounce around the truth and pass blame on everything else surrounding that one thing that makes all this nonsense possible. I fully agree, his answers were precise and to the point. I understand that he must have prepared for this interview and it was scripted, and yet, it reveals a really deep understanding of technology and the dangers it poses if left unchecked. Brilliant mind and a man of character.

Have you looked around ? We are not in trouble we are in deep turd all over the world. Lies and deceit has prevailed all around the world people's rights and freedoms are taken away in the guise of helping us and taking care of our health, hypocrisy is reaching new levels this people think they can get away with anything and frankly they do because we all became complacent and docile so probably for them we are not even human beings but just stock which they will use however they like. Planet lockdown is here and we accepted it without a fight because we are bunch of cowards who locked themselves up from a virus which we have 99.97% to survive if we are not in the vulnerable group, we don't think for ourselves we only listen what our idols say to us from the screens of the brainwashing machines and when people like Snowden and Assange expose the truth we just go to a factcheck site and read there whatever it is right or false, this is the culmination of social engineering a bunch of docile slaves.

Great interview, Snowden should be granted immunity to be a free man, he deserves to be recognized by Americans for being a patriot and looking after people's interests. Time is paying him back, everyone knows google, apple, facebook, wassup, Instagram, youtube, TikTok - Chinese, and amazon are listening to all Americans through our devices, phones mainly. He told us years ago, and look what is happening now.

This year, despite the pandemic, my dog (here in my pic) has always managed to make me smile, with the joyful way she notices all the simplest things, like a chew toy or a warm day playing in the grass.

The more I have listened to Mr. Snowden the more respect I have for him. He sacrificed his job, his individual security, his personal relationships, all for what he believed the truth to be. I find him to be a very courageous person. Trump should pardon this guy, he's the original swamp drainer.
