    I hope this helps gives you all the confidence to start vinyl wrapping! I wasn't as confident as I am now, but it took a lot practice, trial, and error! If you're patient and willing to learn, this video is for you. I covered the basics and some more advanced techniques. For all my professional Vinyl Wrappers out there, please add some feedback in the comments section not only for me, but for others who are wanting the knowledge.

      Daniel Moon you don’t know how motivating these words are to me. Bikelife saved me man. The experiences i’ve had throughout the years of riding is what you see in my videos. They’re genuine. I used to start my videos with the motto - bikes, life, laughs. As you may already know, the moto community as a whole are just a different breed. The majority of us are some of the most humble and loving people. Unfortunately there are those one or two haters. I try to avoid contact, but sometimes the hate gets to me. But reading comments like this truly motivate me to keep going. I was obsessed with getting big before but honestly i’m starting to understand that getting big is not as important as helping those who actually take the time to watch my videos and give me a chance. This year i’ll be sharing some of the knowledge and experience i’ve gained over the years of riding. Again, thank you so much for making my day.. love you brother!

    Adobo, Like your video's! Am going to be wrapping my BMW K100RS this spring, with carbon fiber wrap. Right now I am trying to learn to use the stuff by wrapping my helmet. It's not going well!! So far I have pulled the wrap off three times, and started over. And at this point I am only running a strip down the center of the helmet! It keeps bunching up to the point where I can't chase the fingers out of it! Been trying to come up with a way of holding the helmet, so that I can use both hands to stretch the wrap! Do you have a video wrapping a helmet??

    • @adobomoto
      @adobomoto  Před 5 lety

      Thomas Edgerton use the knife less tape. It’s hard to stretch the fingers out if you wrap and start with a strip. You need room to stretch the fingers past the point of the fingers forming. Once you have them flattened out and formed, heat it up really good. Then pull the string out to create your strip down the center. I’m working on another tips video, i’ll touch onto this and a lot of other questions i’ve been getting. You definitely don’t want to cut out a strip before laying it down if the surface you’re wrapping is curved - like your helmet.

    Man did you do the front fender fairing on any bike ever? Maybe I haven't seen it yet in your video(s) but MY GOD I'm trying to do that now on my R6, it's so hard. I'm ghetto-ing along with multiple pieces and knifeless tape :( and the knifeless tape (3M) sucks! Like it doesn't start cutting, the cut string line itself breaks off and I have to go fishing for it etc

    • @adobomoto
      @adobomoto  Před 4 lety

      It’s hard for sure. Helps if you mount it onto something first, but still pretty difficult. You can get a clean 3 piece job on it and not burn yourself out. That’s what i would recommend. Do two on the sides then one up top last.

    Oh, one more question, how much extra do you order?...for example if the area to be wrapped is say 2' x 2', would you order 3' x 3' or more?

    • @adobomoto
      @adobomoto  Před 5 lety

      I would do double or triple the amount you need. I’d spring for a cheap heat gun..they’re better than hair dryers and you can get one for under $20. I like vvivid vinyl. How would you wrap an entire motorcycle rim? Plenty of vids on doing car rims, but bike rims need both sides wrapped...

    • @adobomoto
      @adobomoto  Před 5 lety

      Jesse Wagner i’ve thought about this. Drop the rims, take off the rotors. Wrap both sides the same way they wrap car rims.

    question, i'm thinking about wrapping my tank on an '81 yamaha xj500, pretty simple tank :) but wanted to put a design, could i do multiple layers with vinyl to also do the design? like a circle and a pinstripe?

    Thanks for the tutorial, man. I'm about to wrap for the first time on my 03 sv650s, which has some wicked grooves in the front cowling that I think will be a challenge. I noticed you didn't use much, if any tools in pressing the vinyl, is there high risk in using squeegees and rollers to get in those nooks, etc? Does it mark up the vinyl? Also, idk if you ever mentioned what vinyl you used, or if maybe you didn't mention on purpose..

    • @adobomoto
      @adobomoto  Před 4 lety +2

      Jesse Wagner i used avery sw900 in this video. Their vinyl is really plyable and easy to work with. Just be patient if you’re using tools, but i would suggest maybe vinyl wrapping gloves.

    When I tried this, every time the vinyl creased it left a permanent crease mark that can't be worked out (even if you take the vinyl off and try to stretch it). Is this normal? I don't get how it is possible to install without tons of permanent crease marks. Did I just buy crappy unusable vinyl?
