I think all taxidermy is horrifying in the first place; but doing it to a beloved pet is a a whole nother level. I understand people grieve in different ways, but I cannot get behind having someone literally skin their pet just to mount them.

@@maggie5386 a lot of taxidermists won't do pets because it's really hard to make them look like they did when alive. Very subtle differences can throw the whole look off. Just a problem, really, because people know their pets so well. Which isn't really a problem with wild animals.
And, honestly, processing my 2 dogs (measuring, skinning, etc.) really helped me with my grieving process. Helped me find closure.
Not gonna mount them for probably a few years yet, but I love that I'll always have them with me. ❤️

I literally remember being in 6th grade & not being allowed on CZcams because my local news channel did a segment on CZcams (right when it got popular) being bad because there were videos on how to break into locks lmao
Funny story: I had a roommate in student housing that had one of those giant bean bag chairs and kept it in the living room. It took up a dumb amount of space and when she went to stay with her parent’s during COVID, she left it out there and gave a bullshit excuse on why she wouldn’t come back to put it in her empty, locked room even though she was constantly coming to the complex to see guys. I got super annoyed one day and decided to try to pick her deadbolt lock (dorms have them for security). Looked up a lock picking video, and after 30 minutes I was able to get the door open. I put her bean bag and various other things of hers into her room. I then found a video on YT on how to lock a deadbolt lock from the outside with a piece of tape. Got it first try. When roommate came back and saw all her stuff missing, she freaked out, went downstairs, and immediately called for backup (fuckboys that tolerated her with the hopes of getting a blow eventually). Upon returning, I could hear her making all these threats to call the cops on us, and then the deafening silence of her unlocking her deadbolted door only to see all her belongings safely in her room. In front of witnesses. She was a truly terrible young woman, so I felt justified in gaslighting her and insisting that she had come by the dorm at some point during the last week and put her stuff in there because I had remembered hearing her door unlock, open and then close (her door was across the living room/beanbag from mine and the walls were dumb thin). I fucked with her head for a couple weeks following these incidents before she ultimately ended her lease and moved back in with her parents since classes weren’t resuming. So yeah. Long story short, get a chain lock and don’t piss off your roommates.
tldr; one of my roommates pissed off the household, so I found out how to pick and relock a lock on YT and gaslighted her after

That baby one got me. Those are usually for mother's who give birth to a stillborn or if the baby dies late into the pregnancy. It helps them cope with the loss.
I knew a little girl who had one as a toy, and let me take it on an errand because it freaked her out. It was heavy and precious looking. I carried it around that day and so many people thought it was real.
