Hi everyone, I know its been a minute but we are back again for a new revenant build video. I would really recommend trying out this one its loads of fun specially in this cele infested world :D. Any comments made in the video of purely for jokes don't take it too seriously its all light hearted. Some of those clips were during the beta a few months ago but the build is practically the same so it makes no difference.

I really like greatsword reminds me a bit of old staff. I’m really happy anet came out with weapon mastery no offence to vindicator but the class gets very boring really quick for me at least.

Vindi is prob the best rn for both roaming and pvp herald is a bit more difficult to learn but very rewarding once you’ve mastered it. Overall tho vindi just offers more than herald

hey, now that it has been a while, do you think GS on herald still holds up? or would you say the sword/sword + staff build is better?
Its still good, but high rank players who know what their doing with op classes will kite you, bait your burst and you will be outweighted unfortunately. Other classes are usually too much to handle for herald if they know what their doing and not button smash.
It’s still a solid weapon sw/sw is better tho but generally speaking herald gets destroyed by many of the current top builds. The spec itself suffers quite a bit atm.
What is that armor/dye set in the beginning? omg lol
Artisan Zharra's Hood, Ebon Pauldrons, Bestial Tides Tattoo Chest, Foefire wraps gloves, Seven Reapers Legguards, Jackal Rune Greaves and Swaggering cape. Dyes are a mix of midnight purple and shadow abyss and for the glow on the gloves and other parts just any nice blue will do it.

question, i can play gs on herald if i buy soto without buy eod?
Hmmmmm good question I am very unsure about this one. I’d imagine u need both since greatsword is from eod, but I can always be wrong.

@@larix534another question, i'm a very new player, i can use all berserker stats, or mix marauder armor with berserker jewerly for this build and maybe change sword shirld with Hammer? If this Is possibile, i should change traits or something? I try ti create One build for pve/Wvw, chainging only traits because i have not enough resources in game
@@non_capisco_6327 wait rev has hammer? lol im joking hammer is pretty bad overall barely a weapon tbh. its only used for zerging pretty much. u can always use a mix of berserker and marauder i would aim around 18k to 20k hp ideally 20k prob mini 40% crit 45% is where i like mine but that personal pref. Greatsword herald in pve is very good atm u pretty much only use gs for ur dmg rotation with some small traits changes between wvw and pve.

Yeah sadly roaming has been very bad lately so only a few clips but the build is the same either way so it doesn’t change much.

i'm just getting back into gw2 after years away. what is with the hate for celest gear?
It’s just because cele outperforms almost anything in wvw. It has the highest stats score in the game therefore it’s the most well rounded stat in the game making it both deal decent dmg and tank decent damage. It’s leads to a very boring bunker dps meta where 2 cele builds will likely never kill each other due to the insane amount of sustain it has, but will still outperform any other build. Ultimately this kills the options you have for viable diverse builds that are not focused around cele build and hybrid dmg and this meta has just been sticking around for way too long now. Most people including myself are just tired of seeing it dominate the roaming scene and being forced into playing those builds with extremely similar play styles across all classes just in order to try and have fun roaming and not get shit on simply due to a gear check rather than a skill gap.
Anet is clearly putting this where it is to try and make the new player experience easier and try to level the plain field. Which in itself is not necessarily a bad thing. The problem is new players don’t really stick to wvw roaming or small scale fighting regardless of cele or not so it’s just being abused by the toxic individuals who love to bm in wvw and so that’s why most people are upset at it. A lot of roamers simply play the game for the sake and joy of roaming but due to the toxic cele individuals, mixed with the addition of mounts which make avoiding conflicts and fights much easier, kinda makes it a very frustrating experience overall.

Sadly with the few nerfs greatsword got I agree that the dmg is a bit lacking now compared to what it used to be

It’s just a joke. It’s targeted at the players that play celestial builds in wvw because celestial is very strong and very omnipresent. Needless to say it’s not the most liked build by the roaming community lol, but yeah it’s just a small joke nothing too serious.
can i play revenant without the animation under my feet or is it always there?
Sadly as long as you have a facet active the animation under your feet will stay there. U might be able to remove it by turning your graphics way down but I cannot say for sure. U can alway play another elite specialization things like renegade and vindicator don’t have the animation.
