We've made it to Taiwan, and we're so excited to dive into the hustle and bustle of Taipei! In this video, we're sharing our very first impressions and experiences as we explore this vibrant city for the first time.
Our adventure kicks off with a quintessential Taiwanese breakfast experience. From savory soy milk to crispy youtiao, we dive headfirst into the flavors of Taiwan.
Energized and ready to conquer the day, we set our sights on Elephant Mountain. A short but rewarding hike brings us to the top, where we're greeted with panoramic views of Taipei skyline, with the iconic Taipei 101 standing tall against the horizon.
Next up, we head over to Addiction Aquatic Development. Though sushi isn't exactly Taiwanese tradition, we couldn't resist the temptation of fresh seafood. Even though it wasn't the most budget-friendly choice, it felt really good to indulge and treat ourselves!
We then made our way over to the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. Here, we see the changing of the guards, stroll through tranquil gardens, and feed the graceful koi fish.
We had to finish the day with some local snacks. We tried a sizzling scallion pancake and a refreshing bowl of mango shaved ice topped with strawberries, and, of course, a local IPA.
We're so excited to share this new Taiwan series! Make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss an episode! 💜

Haw are you
Yeah, I definitely want to go to Taiwan! The people are so polite, friendly and gracious!
I loooove Taiwan ❤
I just went there last month before I went back to the States. People there were so friendly and polite.
I enjoyed this so much, from the beautiful views, rich culture, and not to forget the wonderful feast. Again, a well produced video with a great voice over and storytelling, in a perfectly built montage. You guys are great. Very excited to see more of your experiences. Thanks for sharing it !!
Such an amazing city. Taiwanese people are extremely friendly. Hope you are enjoying your visit.
Love this video! The addition of the shots of local people adds something special and warm. My family is from Taiwan and I don't get to visit often enough - can't wait to go to some of these places next time!
Thank you for coming to Taiwan😊
looks like a perfect day spent in such a wonderful place!
thanks for taking us along with you guys 😍
Hey @SammyandTommy.
Enjoy the night markets. Enjoy the Taiwan beef and noodles soup. If you want to stop at Dinh Tai Fong for dumplings, do that. They are quite famous.
Additionally, when I was there, I got to see the changing of then guards at Chiang Kai-Shek's Tomb.
I love that place, and you guys found so much cool stuff to do that I've never seen before, so I'll have to add it to my list for next time!
The soup you ate for breakfast is actually salty(savory) soy milk, vinegar was added to the soy milk which turns it into a custard like soup.
So excited you guys are in one of my favourite countries. The food, the scenery, the people. I'm actually going back this year.
I'm assuming this was likely to have all been filmed before the earthquake which is lucky for you.
TAIWAN not a Country!
歡迎來台灣🇹🇼🇹🇼🇹🇼
妳們渡過了 非常美好的一天。
Welcome to Taipei, Taiwan this amazing weekend in great joy to tried different kinds of Asian cuisines April of 2024❤❤❤
Tommy - I love the short portraits of local people you include in these videos. The shots just seem so open and honest - almost intimate. It seems they must really trust you to be so open to you. I'd love to hear about how you approach people to take these shots.
Same thought, I would love to hear the story too!
We love all the local faces you film. What do you say to get them agree to film them? 😘
You love birds are extra sweet in this video. Love it ❤
I am loving these videos! Deffo adding Taiwan to my next travels
Seafood heaven indeed! ❤❤ Thanks for sharing, Tommy & Sammy!
Wow , this is an Awesome film , well done , I finish whole film non stop . Thank you
Thank you so much, so nice 😊
very good morning friends greetings from new york sammy tommy here watching your new video I love the professional that you record with very good cameras
Sammy said I hadn't been home for 7 months, and I wondered where his home was? I had the exact mango-shaved ice and Scalian pancake you guys showed in this video last year when I was in Taipei, and it sure makes mouth-watering. The long line could be deceiving as all orders are being prepared while waiting in line, so within 5 minutes, you are indulging in the crispy outside and tender inside flour dough that you have been yearning to try. I love how Sammy and Tommy include those bystanders in the video, which makes watching their journey more natural and fun.
We are from WA State in the US :) Thank you so much for the comments and so happy you enjoyed the video. The portraits of locals/travalers is also our favorite part 🥰
I'm so glad you guys take pictures of the people. I find it as one the most important and fulfilling part of travel.
I usually never trust people's reactions to trying food, but it must be said that yalls reaction to the sushi was genuine and I felt your excitement! Bon appetit
What everyone else said - but also - the chemistry between the two of your make your videos - especially this one - very enjoyable to watch. Yay to love!
Aw thank you so much!! 🥰🥰

Taiwan is considered to be the westernised version of China in terms of the culture and mentality. Taiwanese people are so warm, liberal and accepting.😊
That's an interesting way of describing Taiwan! Not sure if Taiwan wants to be considered as any version of China!
Im Taiwanese, I dont want to be connected with China in any form.

Its Chinese culture without decades of Communism. It is what the Chinese people could have been before the Red Revolutions and mass murders. It is bittersweet.
Hi guys 😊The last thing that you guys had in the first breakfast stop we called that”salty soy milk”. It’s made from hot soy milk with rice vinegar , and then something chemically happened…the soy milk will getting like …chunky and we enjoy it with some Taiwanese side dish in it!

That is an incredible video, thank you!! I think I found the places, but do you share the exact locations somewhere? Would be great :)
you collect many Taiwanese smile 😅😊
Was this filmed before the earthquake? I guess it must have been. I think most of the devastation was south of Taipei, but I'm sure you would have mentioned it. Anyway, great video!
Taiwan’s buildings are very strong
I'm so curious where this breakfast spot is! It looks so yummy!
Hello Sammy and Tommy,
I came across your videos by chance and was very impressed by the way you portrayed the places. Taiwan looks really great. Taipei is super cool. I like that you make contact with people, take photos of them, exchange a few words with them. You've given me a bit of an appetite for Taiwan and Taipei. I am a China fan. Likes everything Chinese. Whether on the mainland or Hong Kong/Macau. So does Taiwan. My favorite city is Shanghai. Will you also visit this city? Because I can imagine you both very well. Or Hong Kong? I would also be curious to see how people there react to you if you ask them their names or have a short conversation with them. In any case, I immediately recommended your videos. You guys are great !
Thank you and kind regards from Europe
Hi Tommy … could you tell us what is your equipments, somehow the videos captures every thing in clearer images and videos. Also if you won’t mind what app do you use to edit …. Txs a million

Sammy, you are so funny and make me laugh when you said this is mine ( you won’t share NY perfect cheese made in Japan) 😂😂😂
Have you visit Taipei 101 yet? While you there visit Din Tai Fung the best Shiao Long Pao (dumpling soup).
If you don't mind me asking you guys personal question, how old are you?

incredible 24 hours in Taiwan province of China.
But Communist violent CCP Chinese need a passport to enter 'their' own province? 🤣🤣
歡迎來台灣旅遊
Most of the street food in Taiwan was brought over by people from various provinces in mainland China who migrated to Taiwan in 1949.
