- In the south of Kenya live the N’Dorobos. For them, honey plays a vital role: it provides food and is used to make a beer which is important for the tribe’s rites. Every year when everything is blossoming, they go in search of honey. To fulfill that search, they have an unusual ally: the “euchoshoroi”, a bird that leads them to the precious nectar.
Documentary: “Master of the spirits - The friend of the N’Dorobos”

This is the most beautiful representation of the cooperation between humans and nature. I love you SLICE for bringing this to us.
Did you hear how the bird will mislead them to a dangerous animal in hopes they get killed so it can eat the worms decomposing the body. Lol
the most precious communication between a man and a bird, this is impressive
Once you find out the birds ulterior motives it's a lot less impressive but still very interesting
Now that’s what I call real honey catcher!! No protective gear. Nothing!! Pure nature. So peaceful.. What a beautiful documentary!!! Amazing. Thank u slice! U never disappointed me.
I absolutely loved it. I would've never thought that a bird can communicate so well with human beings. I'm in complete awe.
This was amazing. The happiness in the end when they sing is awesome.
I love this nation! so graceful and beautiful! Africa my Africa ❤❤!
What beautiful singing they do.
The bird be like :- "these is business"
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 comment of the year..🤞

Beer 🍺 makes everyone happy.
I love their lifestyle...minus the bee stings.
Awesome Documentary! I am fascinated with The Mara Land! I love this Channel @SLICE! I binge on it as much as possible!
Mutual benefit between man and nature…. This isn’t the greedy Wall Street 😁
Absolutely fascinating...it's easy to forget that there's a big world out there full of people who live such different lives than we do here in the US... great docu! 🔥
its fascinating but its not a big world only 10% of Africans live this life style the rest live a modern life in modern cities with electricity and running water just like you
Omg Americans 😂😂😂
Lmao were the pampered
There is. We ate sooo consumed with material and are selfish... thats why watching these open ur eyes, hearts and make you appreciative. Especially ppl in the US, it's as tho they live in a bubble & dint even care to educate themselves about other cultures, call other food nasty when they just eat out packs, cans & gmos
@@carmillachichie5125 10%? Which source did you quote from? Majority of Africa is rural.
This is one enthralling documentary. Excellent job Slice.
Wow! an evolutionary bond between man and beast.
I just love how the people and nature connects to each other, as usual Beautiful documentary again @slice thank you for the hard work.👏
Such a wonderful, peace loving people ❤
That finished too soon 🙂
Honey guide bird, something new to know again. Its very amazing and impressive!
Thanks, SLICE!

Say what you want about Africa!! The people only worries about hunting an taking care of family! Wish it was this easy in America!
Am a Samburu pastorilist boy and the relationship between humans and honey guides has been in existence for years... The bird always leads you to a wild bee hive but if u fail to reward it with grabs next time it will lead you to a lion or an elephant to teach you a lesson
If that 🐦 was human I bet it would be a leader of a notorious cartel.
Wonderful
Thanks Slice for uploading tuned from 🇰🇪 🇰🇪 🇰🇪
Amazing documentary!! Loved how he used the leaves as a napkin after eating the honey 😘
My beautiful people and my beautiful 🇰🇪 🇰🇪 🇰🇪
ПОТРЯСАЮЩИЙ ФИЛЬМ.. ОГРОМНОЕ СПАСИБО ..
Slice,my congratulations!👏👏👏👍👍👍🤗
It would be cool if you said the year each documentary was filmed in the description
Probably early 2000's judging the camera quality.
So the Maasai jewels are similar to the ones in KwaZulu Natal? I have a few of their pieces. I wish I could have gotten more. Where do they sell in that "nearby village" you say. Will you please tell me? Wouldn't it be lovely (and loving) to support real communtities who create from the heart instead of buying things from stores. I think it's time we all reconsider who we support. I'd love to get some beads... Thank you for the upload, I enjoyed it.. xx..
Well said @Sella!...i hope you find the information you are looking for ❤! please be safe!
they are sold all over kenya
This is absolutely phenomenal!
Hello everyone thanks Slice Really beautiful video thanks 🍜🍔🍣🍩🍱🥗🍲🥙🥘🎂
This is really interesting!
The natural honey is so expensive in my country. I also love it.
The old man is so humble with his people
Who else thinks that the voice of the narrator is like that of night rider cars talking voice. .
I did this severally growing up in Doldol kenya 😂. We call that bird Nchochoroi
@@kereto20 in samburu it's nchonchoroi
We call these birds kakare in western Ethiopia and Sudan. Though they guide you to bee hives most of the time, they can also guide you to dangerous animals such as snakes, leopard, and other nocturnal animals too .
This is really nice. Good presentation. Thank you.

So enthralling as always! I was engaged throughout! A lot can be learned from these people and I admire their toughness and ingenuity.
Woow that was a beautiful documentary. I was smiling all through😍🤩. It is absolutely fascinating.
Good one
Beautiful !
If you don't believe something are a spirit we can't explain this video is a example human and bird communication.
The ever beautiful Massai beings 💙 Slice please give me a job so that I can be part of these beautiful stories ☀️
Ndorobo
We learn so much from them - i always feel so much better when I eat what they do (other than honey which I don't like even on the comb like that - too sweet for me).
I am new in your CZcams channel I am so impressed about how people live it a very good work 🤝
The honey bird guide is nice to know that a bird can guide to find out where the honey are for the bird itself ate honey..
There musics makes my ear happy..
Very clever bird.
This bird 🐦 is a snitch to bees 😘😂😂😂
I find it interesting that throat singing or singing from the throat happens all around the world… from the Inuit, the Masai and to the Himalayas and as far as Serbia.
Only here in Slice the best documentary
This is so superb 🌟🌟👏👏👏
My mouth is watering😛😛
SLICE ❤
@10:20 How does he do that with bare hands..without getting stung??...or is he getting stung, but playing it off?
Also, I wish I could find that song at 15:25 and and it to my playlist! 🔥 🔥 🔥 🐝 🍯
Couldn't agree with you more - very meditative and soothing.
In Swahili..
asali ya nkuyi..
( Honey )..
They love eating honey.i havent eaten honey that fresh from the nest...looks palatable the wat they eat it.
I wonder if someone would make such documentaries from the bee perspectives. Lifetime of labour destroyed by giants and their babies eaten alive by the bird.
Why did you cut it at the time they start singing! I was looking for this documentary just for the ending song…argh
The Hadza tribe of hunter gatherers also have this symbiosis. Probably this branch of the massai kept it from the time they also were hunter gatherers.
They must build up an immunity to the stings. Ain't no way they are that tough.
My home boys
When slice team visit India for tribal indigenous for any documentary purpose I wish to witness and be part of it ✊

Before education changed me, I remember doing this .
Before you became westernised?
Go back that is the real life you're on this planet not what you have adopted
Awesome wonders everywhere,n sometimes we think of leaving ds world.its really sad
"The bird would be happy on the worms of their bodies, but for now it would pass with larvae ..." isn't the author a bit psychopatic ?!
U obviously heard wrong
He said the birds will lead them to dangerous animals in hopes they get killed so the bird can feed on the worms that are decomposing the body. Ain't got nothing to do with the nariator, he's just relaying information.
that's not what they are telling the bird
I miss the medicinal nutritious bee larvae, the bird is thûigû, if you meet one that was let down by previous honey harvester it will take you to trouble
I'd like to see a comedy skit wherein a PETA rep tries to convert the Masai to veganism.
The bird can be a psychopath double dealer at times!😂
😄😄😄😄
The children’s the only sweet they know is honey 🍯 ( 🍔 🍭 🌭) oh yeah staying healthy and and strong 💪

Man and Nature
This is beautiful, though there are many inaccuracies. Slice, please do you duty in relaying accurate info.
The honey bird sounds like a squirl.
Narrator says Tan ZAYN ya. Is that an accepted alternate pronunciation/emphasis? (Beside the familiar Tan za NEE a.)
Do the women get to drink the honey beer/mead?
so your telling me that even the indigenous tribes have covid mitigations? besides that i liked the episode

If they never pay back that bird that bird wil lead them in lions den

Interesting they have no veggies in their diet! If we're from that same area we should eat the same if our people mostly ate vegetables this is why some thrive as vegetarians! 💫
I feel sorry dear as u are pretty much brainwashed by the media to believe in Veggies crap
Veggies are mostly man'made they're not even meant to be eaten.
Veggies/grains/ pasta are actually the peasants (slaves) food.

Are these the so called "Africanized bees/killer bees"?
These are plain African bees. They're more aggressive than other bees but not nearly as aggressive as the cross bred bee also known as "Africanized".
