This worked too well, as even the bastard son of the clan (hint hint) voluntarily involved himself in developing the Raptor and a few other things.
Ah gotcha, I imagine the political intrigue is going to get pretty deep as this goes. It'll be interesting to see it play out along with the harsh realities and even playing field that is the BETA war.
Yui hesitated on taking full advantage on the instructors literal blindspot on his right side, likely on account on a sense of honor on her part. This version is Yui feels quite juxtaposed to the one later in Total Eclipse. Here she seems abit too hesitant and ineffectual as a leader (from a military sense). Later she would instead go tad too far in reprimanding Yuuya when they first met when he voiced his concerns on being kept in the dark and disagreements in design philosophy, despite otherwise being hypercompetent in his job.
It's only just started but the writers have made it a point that Yui has some very solid thoughts and observations but doesn't feel comfortable speaking out or being 100% honest. I think we are going to see a lot of growth from her. Perhaps she can take things too far in TE, but I think I said back then that personally I feel it's better that way but it's not perfect.
Those training suits look like family friendly fortified suits you would see in a Hollywood adaptation of Muv-Luv. They will probably not even provide 20% of the protection of the erotic versions, however. And Shimako...well...she may very well surpass your expectations! 😍
Yeah they are a much more consumable version of the suits, and I wonder if the attitude as a whole is to step away from the fan service as a whole. I guess we will know when we see the flight suits down the line... Oh no, now I'm a little worried about Shimako... lately I've been drawn toward the crazy ones...

It would also be a shocking twist to finally be playing a new Muv-Luv game.
