- This beautiful client agreed to be filmed during the styling process in order to let other women with delicate crowns (alopecia) see that there are healthy options for their hair! I am so thankful for her transparency and what it allows me to share with the world.
I'm sharing my favorite braiding technique and pattern that gives clients the most coverage for thinner areas of the scalp. I mainly use this foundation for crochet braids, but it also works for other styles with braided foundations like sew-ins, or wig installs.
I plan on sharing MUCH more in 2023, so if you're interested in seeing more of my content, make sure you subscribe to my channel. Like and share this video if it helped YOU! Also, drop by the comment section if you would like to leave a request for some other future types of content.

I can tell you are a Black Hairstylist who actually cares about you do! Much success to you!
I have the same condition as your client and I love how you styled her hair. This condition is painful and so difficult to deal with. I have never heard of so many black women having Scaring Alopecia until 10 years ago when I was diagnosed. I wonder if years of using synthetic braiding hair is the cause or is it the food we eat. It’s truly heartbreaking to have this condition
You know you can take pumpkin seed oil and turmeric it helps fight alopecia internally and cleaning the scalp with Wich Hazel stimulates growth also every other day rubbing the scalp with wheat germ oil...helps and you will see your hair budding.....as far as diet cut back on sweets and carbs-- Tips given by my dermatologist ...I love helping and giving natural alternatives
Did this really work?
Does this also work on androgenic alopecia?
Massaging with castor oil and taking 2000 milligrams of biotin a day is helpful as well. Also deep conditioning with cholesterol conditioner with one whole egg mixed in. Let sit 30 mins under hair dryer with plastic shower cap. It feeds the roots of the scalp monthly. No relaxer or permanent dyes. Rinses ok.
Thank you Miss Bee first of all letting people know that you are located in the PA area most hairstylist don't you have to read through there comments to find it out second of all Thank you for giving your clients back their confidence God bless you
I love how loving and caring you are woth the mane of each of your clients. You dont get that anymore in hair salons.
I really would like more info on that bridge concept
My girl! Can we please have a video on the bridges? I've had alopecia for almost 10 years and I'm so really grateful for videos like yours because it means I can do my own hair. Thanks gurl x
I love the fact that you care about the sensitive areas of the hair. I don't like seeing the huge parts in the hair and thanks for caring.
I wish you were near me ❤
DFW, TX
This video gives me hope. I'm really tired of wearing wigs and it seems that has caused my front edges to get thinner. I would love to become a client so that I could feel good again.
I would really like to do this on myself but it would be hard need a more simpler braiding style cause that’s hard to do on myself and I can’t afford no one else to do it for me
My first time seeing a longer length video and I love your tone and teaching technique. thanks for sharing
I love the way you explain step by step what you were doing to her hair and would to see another one.
Thank you so much!☺️
You are truly an artist and a blessing ✨💜✨
This is so well explained even a teenager could follow it. I've watched hundreds of videos but at no time have I watched a video like this one. Everything you said made perfect sense as my brain was locking in all the information you were sharing. A-plus for content, technique, execution, thoughtfulness, explanation of loc method and why you use certain products, etc. You are a great teacher and SIMPLY AMAZING!
Wow. Sis, your cornrowing and bridging techniques for alopecia coverage are amazing! Can you do a video on your bridging technique?
I can tell you are an extremely caring person and want to give your alopecia client's the best haircare and hair style possible.
Trust me, you'll always have clients that deeply appreciate how you treat their scalp and hair with so much TLC.
I love the facts that:
1) You thoroughly cleanse and moisturize your client's hair using the LOC moisturiziation method. This method definitely decreases the risk of hair breakage.👍
2) You braid gently and don't braid extremely tight.👍
3) You don't put truck loads of gel and other products on your clients' hair, which can clog the scalp's pores and cause hair buildup...not good!👍
I love your client's hairstyle, too!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Yaaaaaas, girl, you nailed it!
Where did you purchase the wrist band you used to place the gel on? That's a very handy tool to use.
I love how to anchor the braids with existing braids. I have watching tons of videos because I am getting my hair done and I have the same issue ❤❤❤
Delicate is the right word. I too have alopecia and I appreciate the time and care you too with this install. Gave me some great ideas for my hair! Many thanks 😊
BEAUTIFUL WORK!!😊❤❤❤❤❤
The Split View on this tutorial is top tier. Thank you for this. I know it took some effort on your part
This seems like a great braid down foundation ! Thanks for the ideas. Im not a stylist but I do my mothers hair and she has alopecia. Always looking for ways to improve. Thank you!❤
Great video!
I love the way you explained everything that you were doing with her hair and to her hair. And that you can actually make it appear that she had hair all over her head when due to the alopecia her hair is coming out. I have almost the same problem but due to medication’s that I’m using my hair is coming out around the edges and on top and also it’s totally turning gray and I don’t know what to do with my hair and every style is I’ve been to they don’t know what to do either. I would love to be one of your clients.
You have done an excellent job . I love it. I have the same kind of alopecia androgenic alopecia and I’ve lost a lot more over the years. I would love to have this style
I really like the technique and how you explained to push forward rather than pulling on the hair. I would love to see the braid bridges in slow motion. This video is helpful. 😊
Noted! Thank you for watching!❤️🔌
The bridges are genius ❤❤❤

I dont think I have seen the nitial cornrow pattern you did - great idea. Also loved you using extra extensions for the zigzag for reinforcement and to be able to attach more hair. Great ideas. Really helpful for hair liss/thinning. Thank you.
I wish you could be here in Memphis Tennessee I need Help!! Alapecia
I just discovered your video and I have a close friend that I consider my sister who have alopecia and I have been working on getting her hair to grow in the areas that are really sensitive and it is growing but it is a long journey and we are proud of the accomplishments thus far. I have been watching many videos and yours have been the best I have seen in the braiding methods in order to do the crotchet hair styles for her. I thank you sooooo much for sharing this video. Her main area of concern is the crown center but slightly towards the back or the middle top. A little bit similar to this client that you did the video on. I thank you so much and I would like to thank you very much for taking your time to share this video. God bless you and I will try this method as well on her.
I Love this so much and thank you for the Detailed explanation!!! My mom definitely needs this she is always stressing about that area in the top of her head 🤦🏾♀️ I will definitely be trying this on her and I would love to see how you did the bridge! ❤❤
SOOOO NICE ...CANT TELL SHE HAS ALOPECIA AT ALLL GREAT WORK😊

You are so welcome! Thanks for watching. I appreciate your time❤️🔌
❤!!!! WODERFULLL idea!!!!!
This is mastery! Thanks for sharing.
I would love to see a video of how you "built the bridge" between braids. You mentioned earlier that you don't like to sew with thread. So I'm guessing you braided a piece of hair and crocheted it in? I love that. Pretty ingenious. 😊 I would really like to see a more in-depth video on that.
Loved this!
Great job!
7:53am
Great video n thanks for sharing
I loved this video! You did a great job explaining your method and I can't wait to share it with my braider.
Please do and let me know how it goes ❤️🔌
Loved, loved 💕 the videos. I appreciate you taking the time to help those of us struggling with alopecia! Thank you very much! The braiding hair you used seems so soft and natural looking. I’m glad you emphasized not using thread. Do you find that thread cuts through natural hair and is that your reason why you don’t use thread? Thank you again.
Your work is truly amazing. ❤️🥰 Bravo!!!! This is some serious talent that you have. I’ve never seen anything like this, thank you. it would’ve been my pleasure for you to do my hair if I wasn’t a plane ride away💕
Thank you so much! 🩷
Beautiful work!

I love the way you explained step by step what you were doing. The braid pattern is awesome. Great job!! 😊
Thank you so much for the feedback. It helps me know what direction to take future videos ❤️🔌
Yes please buildiing bridges. But what hair did she use to get such a bouncy soft look. I find synthetic is often looking “a certain way0
I love that you say delicate and not bald. I have alopecia areata . This style was beautiful
I feel her pain. I understand her condition very well. I have a very mild case of it in the front but it's still there and it bothers me. I've used black edge control to cover it up. Next time I'll try waterproof black mascara.
So beautiful. Loved the braid technique
Thank you! 😊
Yes, love the video. I have an older client that I have to use a similar technique. Thanks for sharing ❤. Oh what hair is that??
Outstanding work..omg love it!
Thank you so much! ❤️🔌
Just beautiful
Where are you located? I would love for you yo do my hair. I too suffer from alopecia. Your client and me have similar hair thinning
Hey. I loved your video, and I also loved how you were treating the hair before you started the crochet process. Where are you located? I need some help with my natural hair. I am very thin on the sides and top.
..
Love this. Where are you located?
Very articulate and professional explanations! I will be liking and subscribing!
Welcome aboard!❤️🔌
Brilliant pattern 👏 😊... I also love the hair, which type is it? What's the name of it? Many thanks x
Wonderful examples. Are you in NC?
❤
Hello, you are excellent in your craft. I would like to know what state are you located in, because I am interested in scheduling an appointment?😊
Thank you! I ride motorcycles and I need a braiding pattern that will work with my helmet.
This is beautiful, what brand of hair is this?
Wow excellent job.Thank you for posting this video. Great technique, the braid pattern was great for coverage. I'm not a braider. I have alopecia. I wish I could come to you to get my hair done. I'm tired of wearing wigs and scarfs. I just took my hair down from crochet braids. It was so tangled and difficult to take down. How long do you suggest leaving the hair braided. I probably left mine up too long. It was braided about 2.5 -3 months. I don't have a regular braider. The girl who braided my hair 3 months ago moved to New York 3 weeks ago. I live in Las Vegas. I need a braider who gets it. One who would use your technique. Where are you located?
6 weeks is my max. I wouldn’t recommend leaving anything in longer than that
I was diagnosed with alopecia areata just when my hair came back in thick and a nice shoulder length and was about to dye it a pretty burgundy color 🙁 my dermatologist ordered lab work and my vitamin D was very low also he wrote a script for my Vitamin D n I got the shots in my bald spots to bring my hair back in but just like using rogaine u have to keep getting them 😒after my bald spots grew back now later here comes androgenetic alopecia 🙁
Nice! What crochet hair did you use?
🎉
I just subscribed to your channel. Where are you located?
