LOVE your technique and will definitely be trying this!!!! I am an avid user of crochetbraidsplus and I can say that it is worth the price. I have reused this hair up to 4x and it holds up so well. Yes it's synthetic but it truly functions as natural curly hair. I get consistent compliments on it.
The style, the hair, the color, and the length are AMAZING, but for synthetic hair...why in the world does it cost $179. That's the only question I have.
It is virtually impossible to reuse this hair. I mean the time that you have to invest in taking each one out to reuse is just too much time....@kappagamble2815 . I bought my hair from Amazon and got the same look. It looks amazing like hers and I love my new do and it was only $38.
I put mine in November 2023. It still looks new! I have a middle and side part. I also put it up in a ponytail. Its been 4 months already. It never gets old or messed up. Only your edges will. I perm my edges and put gel on it to refresh. Dont know why she took it out so soon. As long as they make this, I'm never buying another kinky curly wig. Its too much work to make the curls. I just put on a bonnet and fluff in the morning. Oil my scalp every couple days. Wash once a month. Moose the hair to pop the curls. I wash the edges like once a week to get the gel out. You can sleep on it, work out, and go swimming. Just buy an extra bag for touch ups. This hair gets a 2000 out of 100!!!
I think you mean 2023, but wow! I’m impressed that you’ve had it in for that long, and it’s still looking great! I was hesitant because of the price, but if I can get that type of wear out of it, and have it still look good, I just might take the leap. 😊
When I first clicked on your video, I thought it was a tutorial on how to achieve this hairstyle on your natural hair. This looks like a natural hairstyle.
For anyone looking for this hair. I got it on shein around 20 bucks for 7 packs and and Amazon carries it too around 40 bucks for 6 packs but more strands.
Me tooo! I bought this hair a few weeks ago…getting it installed next week. I saw Melissa’s video and I had to have this hair. I bought 2 xtra single packs to get a full look just in case 5 bundles wasn’t enough. I workout everyday so I needed something that was water friendly. It looks gorgeous on you.
Got my kinky twist and they are beautiful. Light and easy to install. I trimmed it to my liking. I’m in love as a first time customer. Worth the price! ❤😊
This hair is bomb. I am going to get it and the color is great. You did an awesome job. I've always wondered about the spacing for crotchet braids but it looks like you didn't put them too close together. I've been eyeing yanky twists for a while now and I'm convinced this is for me. Thank you!
You really show a lot and give a real perspective on hair how the hair holds up without too much fussing. Appreciate it and you! Definitely subscribing
Your hair looks so good! I'm currently wearing the dark brown medium length and I love it!!! I only wish I had made it short like you did. I literally just fluff and go - no tangling at all even when it's been in a bonnet for 2 days! I know it's a little pricey but it's the best crochet hair I have ever worn!!
Omg. This is beautiful. I had 14 inch strands and I just cut everything out of my braids. I should have just pulled them out and reused them but shorter!!!! Omg. You look gorgeous chile.
I thank you for the video i purchased some and I have not installed yet …after watching your video i will go ahead and install I was concerned about the loop methods because the loop are so small but I am going to try.
I stumbled on this video today and rarely leave comments. Thanks for such a great video. I never heard of YankyTwists until today. It looks a lot like Spring Twists which I love. So I will be getting it. $180 is a bit too much for synthetic hair, but it looks good! I might have to go for it if I can't find it on Amazon. 🙂
I hope doing okay. I’m sorry about your back. The Yanky twists are not missing❤❤❤ they always look GOODT. Definitely a wig worthy investment for crochet hair. Oooooh! I hope you record/ed the wig 😂❤
Thank you so much for showing us this video. I am looking for crochet hair that is light / can blend in with my hair texture or can twist like my hair texture. When I trained for a marathon I experienced a lot breakage from crochet and knotless braid styles that grew and protected me hair for years. I plan to leave most of my edges out to see if it will help.
Thks for showing how you wash your scalp as well as the take town becuz I was curious how both those work if you keep it in longer than 2 weeks. Some ppl said they keep it in for months and I was wondering about scalp maintenance.
My hair doesn't grow that fast so I would let my stay in for 4 months. It's beautiful for a protective style this summer! Don't care if it tangles because I'm going to let it be free. As long as I can get to my scalp, I'm good. Thank you so much for sharing and demonstrating.
Hey hun, jus saw your video and I loved it. I was looking for a style for my April B-day and now I have definitely found it. Thank you so much!! Quick question for ya: what kind of blue eye liner is that? I love it. I'm usually not an eyeliner girlie...I usually just do lashes but I want to try something different. Welp, you take care gurl. I love your down-to-earth delivery!
I really appreciate your kind words. I would say it can last a few months with good care. Another person commented she’s had hers in for a while. I turned it into a wig so that I can rock this look at anytime.
These are nice looking but be very careful and take your time taking these out. The coils will snag your real hair out. Also, if you have thin hair, make sure you add braiding hair for support.
your video made me buy yanky hair from Amazon and try this method. The technique is undetectable, everyone thinks i dyed my hair but it is completely secured and covered. I want to use all my crochet style with a net now. Have you done any other videos using a net?
Okay so I just found this page TODAY and I thank the algorithm bcuz…. Damn girl. You did that ❤❤❤❤. Can you pleeeeease tell me where to get these earrings (the first pair/the wide bangle looking earrings?) And yes I will get ordering this hair. Bless you and your family🙌🏾🩷
Beautiful. one quick question to make sure I have the technique down cause I've never thought to install with the wig cap to fill in the part sections. you dont sew the rim of the wig cap down right? Looks like you just secure it with the crochet hair you're attaching. am i correct?

Absolutely Beautiful job - just curious about the net staying on. Another channel put combs on the net, but it looks like you didn't(?) and it was able to stay on after cutting?
This was fantastic, but I’m going to attempt the wig method you posted. Do you know if this synthetic hair would need to be washed prior to installing? I have found this is what I generally have to do with synthetic hair but hoping it’s not the case with this one and its price tag.
Young Lady, Thank You , for showing an economic version of how to wear this Hair investment. And since you didn't cut it; you'll have a different look the next time you install. And OMG it held up in a wash.
What was the length of hair you started with ? I know you did it in half which is perfect!!! Also the net process will help me take care of by back section which is super short!!
So you purchased the long length vs the medium and just installed them in half? And did you cut the loop at the end since you didn't use it? I have used this hair before and it tangled badly but I noticed that the cleaner the hair, the less it tangles. Maybe that's why you didn't experience any tangles because you didn't use any product. How did you add shine when it started looking dull? I apologize for so many questions 😊.
I purchased the medium and folded it in half because I preferred the shorter look and it basically gave me more hair. I didn’t add any product to the hair. There’s no need to as it’s synthetic hair. HTH
@@HairDeLaCreme thanks for answering, finally did you just cut the loop at the end of the hair since you didn't use it or leave it? I really love the way that this turned out.
Great great video sis but why not make a wig? Use that net, place on a foam head then crochet. No? Maybe place a crochet row at your hairline, place the wig on yo head and rock out? Imma get the hair ( it’s in my cart) but something always comes up. Tires, oil change, mortgage🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️ Thx for the video. Turned out super cute.
I didn’t make a wig because I wanted to give a realistic review for those that will crochet it in vs taking it off and wearing the hair whenever I go out. Then you truly won’t know how it holds up.

The style, the hair, the color, and the length are AMAZING, but for synthetic hair...why in the world does it cost $179. That's the only question I have.
Girl I wanna know as well 😂
Because it's handmade. It doesn't tangle or shed..and it's reusable. You can use it at least 4x's. You get what you pay for.
Is it human hair?
It is virtually impossible to reuse this hair. I mean the time that you have to invest in taking each one out to reuse is just too much time....@kappagamble2815 . I bought my hair from Amazon and got the same look. It looks amazing like hers and I love my new do and it was only $38.
