- The effortlessly entertaining Jay-Jay Okocha, on as a sub, helped set up 2 goals, and scored a third to cap a remarkable display as Eintracht Frankfurt beat Kaiserslautern 3 - 1 back in the 1995/1996 season. Jay-Jay treated the fans with his array of skills and flicks including the elastico which was made famous much later by Ronaldinho.
Okocha joined Eintracht Frankfurt in December 1991, where he linked up with many well-known players including Ghanaian international striker Tony Yeboah and later Thomas Doll. He continued to shine for the German side, one highlight being a goal he scored against Karlsruhe, dribbling in the penalty box and slotting the ball past goalkeeper Oliver Kahn even going past some players twice. The goal was voted Goal of the Season by many soccer magazines, and also voted as 1993 Goal of the Year by viewers of Sportschau (an ARD German TV sports program). - Sport
Your love for JJ is pure and beyond question!❤ From a Bolton fan
This clip is another proof as to why he was so good that they name him twice ❤
This man is truly skilful
I noticed Okocha did the elastico at 1:05 1995/1996 season, this was before Ronaldinho became a pro footballer
More and more evidence to show that Ronaldinho learnt most of his skills from Okocha. That's the flip flap/elastico he did a 1:05, years before Ronaldinho became a professional footballer.
Did you see that snakebite dribble?
How did Ronaldinho learn from okocha please?
Are you trying to say that okocha invented the elastico?
Nigerians and over hyping ehn...
So Ronaldinho didn't know how to dribble before playing for PSG?
Make una de calm down abeg
I just saw a snake bite dribble now from Jay Jay. Oh wow!!! Ronaldinho haven't stated playing professional football then!
I miss the days when "dark horse" teams like Eintracht Frankfurt, Dynamo Kyiv, etc., could pull off surprise victories in Europe every year. Now, it just seems almost impossible.
Pa jay
Austin Jay Jay okocha did snake bite first before ronaldinho😍😍😍😍😍
And what does that prove?
@@SugarcaneBaby what a dumb question!
@@OGUNTI the question isn't dumb..it's your brain that cant process it. Blame your cognitive ability
Oga na dumb question @@SugarcaneBaby
@@chibuzornnadi4787 it's not dumb. Just blame your weak brain for not being able to process the question..I know that the next y'all will say is that okocha taught Ronaldinho Football.
Was that the first recorded elastico/flip flap in history at 1:05 timestamp?
Rivelinho did it for Brazil in 1970
definitely not, but the oldest of Okocha that I've seen
Prove me wrong dudes
@@lamesbane you could just as easily search CZcams for Rivelino elastico
Rivellino, Mario Sergio, Djalminha, Joaozinho já faziam muito antes, nas decadas de 60 70 80 e 90
He was more direct here, he should have continued like this instead of over dribbling
