I don't have an armchair, anymore. I am sitting in a chair at my computer desk, over. So, maybe I am a keyboard shooter. JK. The only reason I did not go to the range today 07-03-2021, is because I was smoking a 14 pound brisket with my favorite seasoning, Spice Hunter salt free Cowboy BBQ Rub and chunks of mesquite wood. And yes, it turned out fantastic, as usual. But I intend to get out there tomorrow with my rehab of my Patriot .308 Win that I put in an MDT chassis and a fat new scope on it. But, alas, I am in far north Texas and cannot travel that far most any time, but oh well, thanks for the invitation.
yea.. The custom actions are nice in some cases but most have some issue that is not easily addressed. Most factory action are very reliable and function properly.. I can not tell you how many times I have seen failure to feed issues with custom actions.. Unless we are talking about single shots.. Now those are usually VERY dependable.. Thanks for watching.. Have a good one.
Hey Mike, while the MDT Cskye Pod works great in PRS and different matches, but for normal benchrest the looseness in the legs sucks 😆 - look forward to your next compare video, I prefer the interview style video like this one (training class). Keep up the great work! And yeah, that golf ball is dead lol 😂 thanks for that 😃😃
Thanks for the videos.. really like to hear the comparisons when you take them out to longer ranges and see how they hold up... I have a feeling that "armchair shooter" will have some excuses not to show up with you !!
Kevin bond. that is his CZcams name.. lol.. Funny guy.. Needs more than I am willing to give.. (as far as verbal exchange goes, on CZcams).. How are your robots doing?
I have not had a chance to compare it to the ATACAR. I know that the ATACAR and the Valdada are very close with the Valdada winning just slightly. So using that as a gauge I would guess that the Maven would be just as good and maybe better. The Maven is one scope I haven't seen on the range in my area. They are very popular up north. You can get a scope to look at for two weeks and then return it if you don't like it.. Night Force is not that easy to deal with in that manor. I don't have access to an ATACAR but I do see them on our range. Good scopes, But ALOT of options when looking in that price range. Thanks for watching. Hope this helps
yes, I have a guy that shoots with us that has had a Mark 5. He sold it and went with an Athlon Cronos and then moved to a Leica PRS. The Mark 5 was good, it was just overpriced for the options you get. I did not care for it as much; I liked my Maven much better, and my Cronos was a close second. All the scope around that $1600 to $2000 mark is running the same glass (Japanese) Or a mixture of shot German and Japanese glass. the differences between the scopes are the coatings and the warrantees. The Tract is a great option too, It's just not a bright as the Mave and the Cronos. Thanks for watching

It’s a really nice looking scope. Looks expensive. Finally some one said it. Custom actions come with custom problems.

Do you think the glass in that Maven is as good as a Nightforce ATACAR
