- Long term review on the Maven RS.4 5-30x56, I have had this optic for about a year now and had the chance to use it not just at the range practicing but also in both rimfire and centerfire prs matches and now have it mounted on my NRL hunter 6.5 Creedmoor. Lets see how it did.

Thank you for providing this type of content. I was planning to try NRL/PRS stuff this year. Cyclops, the ginger, and you have given me a great deal of information. My plan will have to wait until CZ lets loose of some 10 round mags tho.
That’s awesome man thanks for watching
They just hit the shelves!
🖤💛
Nice
What is the rifle build also?
Love the looks of the scope. Crazy how hard the parallax is to turn
It’s freaky tight
What did Maven have to say about that tight parallax knob are they all like this or is yours defective? I was thinking about ordering one but thus put me off and probably going to buy another Nightforce or Razor Gen 3 instead. Lots of choices available from other brands in that price range for sure and plenty of dealers willing to negotiate better prices too.
If u got the extra money ey to cough up for a Nightforce( Atacr) or Rzr gen 3, then go for it... U do notice they're not in the same $$$ or class as a Maven, right?.lol......Those 2 are UPGRADE compared to the Maven....
I am looking at this scope for my rimfire volquartsen summit.. This would be my first scope and I kind of want to buy once. Would you buy this scope again if you had it to do all over again? I have seen people say the turrets are " mushy" but not mushy .. in your experience are the turrets "mushy" I liked your clarification when you say your eyes this is what works.. So thank you for the video any advice on this scope I would appreciate it .. Did you purchase the mounts from them as well? Not for nothing I kind of like the customization you can do with your color choices . I know that part sounds absolutely stupid. Knowing the lenses are from Japan and being a photography person. I know that good glass is crucial with light transmission. well thank you again.
The scope has worked very well for me and I really like it for centerfire applications over Rimfire to be honest.
I've had many different levels of optics from Cheap Chinese to March, Schmidt and Bender, Swarovski, Kahles, Nightforce Sightron SVIII, Tract Toric, Athlon Cronus, Sightron SIII, and IMHO bare minimum acceptable scopes are the Athlon Midas Tac 6-24x50 and Athlon Ares BTR Gen 2 4.5-27x50 even though they are made in China they're really good and are the best quality Chinese made scopes at reasonable prices when you find dealers selling them cheaper than normal in the $500-$565 price ranges. Biggest disappointment was the new Chinese Bushnell Match Pro ED 5-30x56 that's IMHO really terrible for $699.99 with mushy turrets and glass that's like looking through fog past 800-1000 yards on high magnification while the cheaper Athlon Midas Tac and Ares BTR Gen 2 doesn't have the fog on high magnification that the Bushnell has and also have hands down far superior turrets. The Match Pro ED should have been maxed out as a 24x since image quality noticeably goes south past 25x and also gets really dark nit a well engineered scope IMHO and these Athlon's appear to be at least 2 to 3 levels higher.
I'm admittedly a glass snob and try to avoid anything made in China but only these Athlons are acceptable enough for my own eyes while most others give me severe eye fatigue. The Meopta Optika 6 5-39x56 FFP illuminated MRAD is the best non Chinese made scope that money can buy when shopping for high quality scopes while on a budget for as low as $799.99. they're as nice as the Athlon Cronus BTR Gen 2 for around half the price.
I have the same scope and I hate the parallax adjustment, especially when it’s cold outside. Glass is clear, great trace ability, but that parallax adjustment is by far the worse.
Are all of them hard to turn like yours what did Maven have to say about it? I was thinking of buying one but not if they're hard to turn. For $1800 there's a lot of choices to choose from other brands. Tract Toric ELR, Burris XTR PRO, Zeiss LRPS3, Razor Gen 3, Nightforce and there are dealers willing to negotiate better prices over the phone too. Also much cheaper Athlon Cronus BTR Gen 2 and Meopta Optika 6 way cheaper too.
Once I went tier one optic, I wish I would have made the jump sooner.
Once you go to a tier one optic it’s hard to go back
@@midwest_long_range 100% agreed

How does it compare to the tract? I was leaning this way because the reticle is clearer. I’m not sure you can even distinguish on the tract at 10x. But that maven parallax is wild.
If u look for Panther, who's a YT on here... He did a comparison on the Trac and afew others against the Maven... Hint: I bought a Maven after.lol
@@mryang3644 thanks but I already went with the tract. Mostly because the reticle has finer markings than the maven.
Good one. Msrp?
Shows 1800 on the website
Where's the gun? All I see is scope😂👍🏻✌🏻🐴❤️🤠
Coudn`t hear you, then got blasted by the theatrical crap, then video started again, couldn`t barely hear you again. Could you maybe lose all the theatrics crap and just speak?
Being more constructive in your "criticism" goes a long ways to the free content you are watching.....
