Living in the northern San Francisco Bay area, I've had to deal with wildfire smoke for many years, and evacuations 3 times. It is indeed terrifying.

I was in on the Oregon coast, West of Portland, from Sept 7 to Sept 12. The sky at the coast was as orange/red as your videos for a couple of days. And when we drove back into Portland on the 12th, it was VERY smoky. Be safe!!

Yea, that is life in the western US sometimes during those forest fire events. Been in California and Colorado when the sky looked like that. Sometimes Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee and Texas can have the same problem. As long as you are out in the middle of a parking lot, you are fine.

The geological event that we know as elnino is tapering off on a grand scale. Cooler temperatures will continue to prevail along with the gulf stream. Only you can prevent forest fires.

I live in Washington. It has been three days since you posted anything. The last time you were trying to get away from the fires. Some of us would like an assurance that you survived and are OK. Air quality here is rated hazardous.

Hey Ethan gee it must,be been scary at times but always remember to remain calm in a situation such as this. It can be life threatening if there's any panic, forest fires are dangerous glad you're safe.

I live in California and was about 3 hours away from the closet fire, but our skies looked like that. We could smell the smoke in the air and ash particles would rain down on us. My SUV would be covered in ash every morning and it was difficult on the lungs. I was dusting in my house every single day due to how heavy it was. We are in the Central Valley, surrounded by these fires and the wind would bring it in to us. I am glad you are safe and made it through this harrowing ordeal. You Millie and your camera man (😂😏) must’ve been so freaked out and the thought of being that close to the raging fires would have stressed me out for sure. I promise you that it’s much nicer in late winter and early spring. Unfortunately, these fires have become the norm here. Love ya and be safe ❤️

I live in Northern California and I know what you went through. The fires are scary, but when the ashes are raining, the fires can be 20 miles away. Ashes are light and are carried in upper winds. 😉

Those Wild fire's where started by someone that's why they where so bad Ethan. That normally doesn't happen. Its the only time it happen in my life time. Also you can blame the forest service for not keeping the forest clear.

Check fire reports and evacuation advice for which area to head for.

Keep your windows shut when the cab has clean air and use air con unit set to internal only ,,,not external air intake.
If smoke gets really bad wet your breathing mask’s in clean water and keep rinsing as they dry and clog with smoke and ash particles.
