Thinking this will be the fridge i buy for my topper build, great video!!!
You won't be disappointed
Lots of valuable info . Thank you
As far as the cover is concerned for the lid I just used a couple of strips of Velcro, works fine keeping the cover in place.
Great video. I have the same model and will pair it up with an Ecoflow Delta 1300 power station during my next road trip. I've tested both at home and they go together perfectly. Thank you.
Whoa that’s a good idea and much cheaper than getting a Jackery or goal zero
How do you like the pair?
Thanks for sharing. Good information. Looking to buy a couple of iceco frig/freez and trying to decide which ones.
Thank You for the review, I will be purchasing in a couple of weeks ... Mahalo
solid! i just bought mine......
Great video and very informative He likes nice equipment and he is on top of his game!
I like this guy & I would share a beer with him !
Thank you...good review
The blue light is to keep bugs away. Great review. I can’t wait to get mine. Also just ordered the FSR READY LIGHT based off your review. Subscribed.
Yeah the blue light def does. Just hurts my eyes and I have to squint lol
@@BaptismOverland get some blue light blockers 🤓 hahah 😂
I had the JP40 but sent it back for the VL35. I'm nitpicky like yourself and there were 2 things I did not like: 1) it was made of plastic 2) how the lid opened. While I lost some size going with the VL35, I just really liked that it was made of metal which feels pretty solid. The lid opening was the one thing that made me send back the JP though. I made a shelving system in the back of my JLU and the amount of room the JP needed to open just did not work. And I also didn't like how I had to open the lid even more to get things out of the back where with the side opening lid, I was able get things from the back and the front of the fridge without having to open the lid more to do so. But overall, Iceco makes great quality fridge at a much lesser cost of your Dometics, ARB or Engel.
All valid reasons. End of the day ICECO is great no matter which model.
It would be nice if the light could change colors. Red and Blue are nice because they won't blind you at night and are less likely to attract bugs. However, a white light makes it a lot easier to see when you are digging around looking for something. Great review.
i have that same refrig I move between my camper van and my jeep depending on which type of trip I am doing
Thank you for this video, one question tho, how thick is the cover? how much added insulation does it add?
It added about 1/8” all around. Kinda hard to measure but it was about that much. So 1/4” thickness to the whole thing
Thanks for the video! Any issues are concerns since you released the video in January 2021?
Absolutely none! We have gotten so much use from it. The other day we took my wife’s runner to the beach and brought a cooler and we missed the fridge. We’ve gotten spoiled lol
I seen a dude with 11 portable fridges has a ton and one of his favorite is this one.
Seriously. It's awesome.
I have this same frig. i am going to use a 12 Volt Lawnmower battery i saw another guy do this, to keep mine cold until i get to my destination where i then will hook it to my AC200 and run it off of my Solar.
🤔
Is this good for OTR trucking??
I'm not a trucker but I don't see why not. It just needs a 12v power source. I'm sure since truckers can sleep and idle their trucks for long periods, it might actually be perfect for it.
@@BaptismOverland thank you brother
@@brothermunoz6859 lemme know if you get it and how it works for you! It's truly a beast of a fridge
@@BaptismOverland ok will do
white light will diminish your night vision
After letting my new JP50 sit for 24 hours after delivery, as recommended by the manufacturer... it has a really annoying high pitch sound from the compressor area. Contacted Iceco, sent them a video and they are sending me a replacement. Happy with customer service, yes... but quality control should have addressed this before packaging the fridge up. A few other users have had this issue, but from my conversations over the phone with Iceco, they say this has never happened. The 12v cigarette plug also doesn't like any of the six outlets I've plugged into. The connection is extremely loose. Again, this also is an ongoing issue that many Iceco customers have had with this particular connector. I'll update my comment if and when the replacement arrives. Fingers crossed 🤞
We noticed the same. Mine hasn't had that issue but we found that the newer ones do! You're not the first to have that complaint. Idk if after getting more popular they started using cheaper parts and manufacturing
