    CLIP DESCRIPTION:
In a televised ESPN simulation, 'The Line' (Antonio Tarver) gets nervous as he watches the simulated Rocky knock out his own character.
    FILM DESCRIPTION:
Sylvester Stallone returns to the director's chair for Rocky Balboa, the fifth sequel to the film that made him a superstar 30 years before. The movie begins with Rocky (Stallone) still mourning the death of his loyal and beloved wife, Adrian, who died three years previously after losing a battle against cancer. Rocky owns an Italian restaurant and spends his days living in his working-class Philadelphia neighborhood, visiting with his customers, and telling stories about his past. His grown son has a job as a business professional, but the relationship between the two is strained. Rocky's growing dissatisfaction leads him to attempt to purge the feelings of frustration and loss by applying for a boxing license. When the current heavyweight champion, Mason "The Line" Dixon (Antonio Tarver), needs to rehabilitate his image as a pretty boy who has never shown any real heart in the ring, his manager offers Rocky an exhibition match. This comeback allows Rocky to get his own life back on track, while also offering him the opportunity to help those around him redeem themselves and once again be a symbol of hope for the common man.

While possibly the case, do remember that just like the first movie, the champ didn't take this seriously. He was likely not in full fighting shape, just got himself in good enough condition to sell it. Not the full fighting shape fighters get into when they fight a real contender. The Gospel, which means the Good News is the news that God Almighty, the Creator came in the flesh as Jesus Christ to take away the sin of the world. The one God is a trinity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Son came and laid down his own life to save ours. His sacrifice on the cross paid the price for our redemption with his own blood. On the third day he rose from dead and offers the gift of salvation and forgiveness to those that repent and trust in him.

Rocky went 1-2 against Apollo if you count the "secret" fight. But I wouldn't see Dixon beating Drago. Clubber vs. Dixon would be interesting. I wouldn't see him beating Apollo. You also have to remember that Rocky was a "late bloomer" when it comes to his prime. He said so himself, as he was in his 30s when he first fought Apollo. Not that that would make a difference, just pointing it out. I see people referencing Apollo from the first movie barely winning by split decision, but to be fair, he didn't take Rocky seriously until it was too late. Apollo likely would've taken a prime Dixon much more seriously than he did "unknown" Balboa.

Blocking is for amateurs. how can you punch someone when you are using your arms to block? the real secret to success is demonstrated in Rocky 1, 2, 4 where Rocky face tanks all the punches to keep his hands free to bring the pain. by using the face tank technique he went the distance with Apollo Creed which no one has ever done before in Rocky 1. in Rocky 2 he switches from southpaw to orthodox style and does the unthinkable, leads with the other side of his face for the first time ever. this move was huge and led Rocky to beat Apollo and give him his first loss ever. in Rocky 4 he levels up his face tanking by training with a beard and exposing his face to harsh elements and can then take punches 3x stronger than the average boxer from a roided out super boxer.

Mason in shape and with no broken hand could’ve beaten. Although after he trained with Apollo yeah he’d lose.
Mason was out of shape and broke his hand. Rocky while old showed he could stilltake the hits and hit like a mule. He showed that he could go 12 rounds with a man that could take his hits and hit him so hard he’d say “mans got bricks in his gloves”.

Apollo Creed, Clubber Lang and Ivan Drago, any one of those guys would've murdered Dixon and Rocky beat all three of them.
Plus Rocky has the advantage in power and endurance. Dixon might be faster but Rocky can take a way worse beating and his punches are way more devestating.

The Raccoon I did. Its just that just cause they say that they did something doesnt tell how much they strived for it. Like if I told you I was trying to lose weight as much as possible but you find out that I only worked out like once a week for 30 mins and changed up my diet a tiny bit. I make it seem like i was working my ass off but in reality i barely did anything note worthy. Im curious why do people tend to say " Did you even watch" whatever movie is up for debate, like its a insult or something :P People do have the ability to forget things if that is the case ya know.

Jago Nexus The difference though is that you and I are complete strangers. You are way less inclined to tell the truth to me, and I'm just as inclined to believe you. The scene that is actually set up is between a father and son, a broken relationship yes, but not one without trust. In fact there isn't a single moment in Rocky Balboa where they're trust is broken, Robert is just mad that he lives in his dad's shadow. The only time trust is really damaged in their relationship is in Rocky V but in respect of the timeline, Robert was 9 at the beginning of it and the film probably has the span of at least one year, probably a bit more because Boxing takes time Gunn can't just hop from match to match. So roughly 16-20 years later we get Rocky Balboa and Robert is late 20's so definitely enough time to fix their trust. Plus he admits that he achieved a little for himself not a lot so it's not like he's overdoing it trying to make it look like his father took out his entire empire. As for the question I asked, Did you even watch Rocky Balboa, wasn't aimed to be an insult dude. I was legitimately asking because if you hadn't I would have given you more specifics about the quote and scene itself so you can see for yourself that I wasn't bullshitting you.

The Rocky who showed up against Clubber... the one who was defeated and humiliated, then personally rebuilt by Apollo Creed into an absolute weapon... would’ve killed Mason in the ring within a couple rounds.

By the end of Rocky 3 he is essentially Wolverine from the X-Men, invulnerable to punches. It makes for a fine superhero movie but it's not a surprise that the invincible man wins a fist fight.

The only thing that helped Dixon to Win was Rocky's age, cuz the Young Rocky would be able to beat him in the first round.

creed in his prime would win because creed was a professional basically the muhammad ali in rocky's universe unlike clubber was just a brawler only relays on hooks and his muscles and no movement skills like how rocky learned from creed

SMT_Ant Rocky beat Lang in 3 rounds.
After getting into the best shape of his life, it still took him 15 rounds to beat Drago.
      Drago would destroy Lang.
      No contest.

It's not just that Rocky fought and won tougher fights than Dixon. It's also their style, in fundamental level. Dixon is an outboxer. Rocky is a swarmer. Swarmer has quite a lot of advantages over outboxers. On the other hand, swarmers have disadvantage against sluggers. And outboxers have advantage over sluggers. And all Rocky movies stayed on with this fundamentals. For example, Rocky (swarmer) was very effective against Apollo (outboxer). And Rocky was terrible against Clubber (slugger). But when Rocky learned outboxing from Apollo, Rocky was able to beat Clubber. Drago is an exception, because he was high leveled in all styles of boxing.

...And Drago was on steroids, not that it helped him against Rocky at full power.
But yes, boxing can be boiled down to Rock Paper Scissors, essentially. There are styles that will always have advantages over other styles.
