Best thing Miyagi said:
It's OK to lose to Opponent
Must not lose to FEAR 💯👊
@@sneescampers that's pretty much what Miyagi said
I always wished in this final scene, they'd show flash backs of Daniel unleashing on Johnny, his friends and The Chozen in one clip and then finally remembering all the killer moves he learned of the past and then utterly destroying Barnes. It just needed more. Climax needs to be a true Climax. There was so much they could have done. It's like Daniel forgot everything he learned. Come on Daniel! Avildsen himself said 3 is bad. He rushed it, and hated the script. It was more for the money and to get it out because it was due for a sequel.
I'm agree with you. But Laruso did'nt show anything. The match could be won by Barnes . He's very agressive and prepared to face the fight
@@victorhugozamaconaugalde3872 most definitely I always thought Larusso was a wimp, but that Mr Miyagi Speech tho
I thought the turning point in the fight was after Miyagi yelled "KICK HIS ASS SEABASS!"
"It´s okay lose to an opponent, must not to lose to fear. You stay in focus. Daniel-san, your best karate still inside. Now time let out".
Always gets me. A life lesson for us all. Mr Miyagi truly is the GOAT of this franchise. A true mentor. It was SOOO satisfying to see in CK S5 finale how Daniel went on Miyagi-mode at the end
I always remember this scene when im afraid to do something, and it helps
Goosebumps
Mr. Miyagi and Duke from Rocky are some of the best "teachers" one can get.
Mike takes out a hidden knife and jabs Daniel. “That’s it, Barnes, one more time and you’re disqualified!”
🤣 yeah
Rotfl 😂
I swear you guys rip on me thirteen or fourteen more times, I’m out of here
"i said bow"
*doesnt bow*
"me'h whatevs"
Daneil son you best Karate still in here!
Now take this gun and END THIS NOW!
There will never be another Pat Morita
What about Jackie Chan?...
@@PigeonPluckerMr Miyagi is better than Mr Han.
Bruce Lee?
@@PigeonPlucker Jackie Chan? Are you serious????
The ONLY missing element in the Cobra Kai franchise is Mr. Miyagi. Even so, the writers have done an INCREDIBLE job of honoring the character!
I posted on other threads that if the actor was alive it would STILL be better for his character to be dead from a story standpoint both because its realistic (the character was older than the actor I think) and also because dealing with the loss of his mentor is a great part of Daniel's character development. If the actor was still alive then dreams, flashbacks or hallucinations etc could be used for him. Similar to how "Koba" died in the 2nd of the new Planet of the Apes movies and still appeared several times in the 3rd movie (or Obi Wan in Star Wars).
They can always add Myagi, they just cant add Pat Morita
With today's technology they literally could add Pat Morita.
honestly i am glad that Mr. Miyagi is not a part of the Cobra Kai series. It shows that life moves on and that we suffer losses. It would be too much if an adult Daniel always runs to him for advice. He has to find his own way now.
I'd really love to see a scene where Johnny visits Miyagi's grave, thanking him for saving his life at the start of Karate Kid 2. I think its over due.
The best thing about this scene is the father/mentor like relationship Mr. myagi and Daniel has. That is really powerful
I agree seeing that seen got me emotional because I think of my og from block that’s still grinding on my block since the 70s he always give me good advice about life him and my uncle June bug
The old samurai didn't educate him anything - they only did morning exercises))) 😆
@@joshuabn5794 so what. Daniel Laruso could beat your as anytime. Even Mike Barnes didn't stand a chance. Mr myagi
Teacht him morning exercise and pretended to teach him car wash exercises, because he wanted Daniel to wash all of his oldtimers to safe some money, it still was enough to rip of the bases of Johnny, choozen and Barnes.. So at the end of day it was a full success mission completed
@@marcelpraha6421 No, that's unlikely. If such a person can defeat someone, then only in the movies and not in reality. I wonder if that actor does any kind of martial arts in real life? I would recommend that he take up training, but not in “morning exercises,” but in real, practical mixed martial arts.
@@joshuabn5794 but what about kyokushinkai karate... It's not from Okinawa, the birth place of karate. Created by maso oyama.. Check it out
Back when movies truly made you feel.
"It's ok to lose to an opponent, you must not lose to fear!"~Mr. Miyagi
What an epic line in this final fight. Man I miss the late great Pat Morita😢 This entire franchise gives me those feel good goose bumps.
Mr. Miyagi was full of REAL life lessons anyone can apply in real life.
Anyone else exited for cobra Kai season 6? I still watch these old movies but I like how cobra Kai shows how Kreese and Silver are attached.
I LIKE HOW DANIELS FOCUS CHANGED AND HIS KATA WAS SPOT ON IN THIS SCENE
Much like the cocky turned "oh shit" expression on Silver's face.
I'm pretty sure at 3:21, Barnes pal says "Fu** him up Mike, fight him!" Possibly the only F bomb in the Karate kid trilogy.
Cant believe I was 4 when this came out when I use to watch all 3 Karate kid movies everyday as a kid. Now me and my son Watch Cobra Kai
When barnes crony says "get the point his hallucinating" always makes me laugh 🤣
Daniels, the worlds most epic wimp saved by plot armour once again.
Nobody embodied honesty, compassion, and fair play more than Terry Silver.
😂😂
Not unless they changed the definitions of Honesty, Compassion, and Fair Play.
@@michaelmaston4702 Yeah if they changed it to dishonesty, prejudice and inhumanity. 😂😂
Tom
Don't be taken by Mr. Silver's words
That's funny...
It's funny when Barnes starts insulting Miyagi's karate after Miyagi previously took him out in a few seconds at the Cobra Kai dojo.
On to musí dát 3:11
Daniel's reaction to it all was perfect. The shock and motivation he needed to leap over his hurdle
Along with Silver & Kreese
I don't know how any of those 3 @$$H0L3$ can have any self esteem left? They got slaughtered in a fight by a pudgy man half their size and at least 3 decades older than them.
If I was an elite martial artist and got completely dominated by someone like that my self esteem would be so low I would not even want to show my face in public again.
I do not get how Silver, Kreese or Barnes could have any self esteem left after getting destroyed almost effortlessly by a little elderly guy like that. They should have had no self esteem left after that.
My all time *favorite* part in this scene is when Mr. Miaygi, ( sorry I spelled his name wrong ), ran to Daniel side and gave ( Daniel ) an " encouragement " speech.
That part ALWAYS melted my heart. 😩😫
Ref was savage. Daniel just takes an absolute beat down.. “On your line LaRusso!”.
Butt kicked through the whole movie just to win with a dance move
Ralph Macchio and Pat Morita really sold the father/mentor relationship. Right when Daniel & Mr. Miyagi's eyes linked, you could tell the lights were on and they were Sympatico. #WaxOnWaxOff
Best motivational speech in movie history. Miyagi, best mentor in movie history.
It was a wasted opportunity that the actor Sean Kanan did not film a series of action movies involving martial arts where he is the hero. He totally had the charisma for it.
Idk about being the hero. Maybe the @sshole who gets wrecked.🤣 he just plays the douche too well.
He did Y&R instead
I wonder if Daniel is wearing the same belt that Ali stole right before the first tournament. 🤣
Technically, Mr. Miyagi "stole" it but he said Buddha provided. #WaxOnWaxOff
@@boilerboy thinking back, you are correct. He took it and snuck it to Ali, so she was his accomplice. 🤣
It was miagi do were a bunch of un honorable theives. They should really look to embrace cobra kai and Terry silvers values and philosophies.
Just remember that it's most likely that Terry was high on cocaine during this scene.
Did 2 happen after 3? Because I find it hard to believe that he goes to Japan, fights an actual death match, and then comes back to get terrified in a normal tournament. He should have been like 'pfff at least this guy doesn't have a blade."
That's the crazy part of the story. If you actually look at the timeline of the Karate Kid.....its all one year.
@@RodneyJ920 that's even crazier! I just looked it up, it's like 6 months! He fought a death match in the summer and by December he's scared of a normal tournament. It's like he forgot everything.
@@TheWereman84Even more messed up is that we get no conclusion with Kumiko. I know Daniel's relationship story isn't as important as him learning to stand up for himself and others, but at least we got proper conclusions with Ali and Jessica. As far as I can tell, Daniel was trying to cheat on Kumiko.
Mike Barnes was a good guy, when Danny was about to quit Mike gave him the pep talk he needed to continue. Cobra Kai was always about fair play.
Best Karate fights ever!!
Imagine performing a kata during a kumite match. 😀
7:38 Whenever someone you know or you yourself are losing it.....listen to the hipnip
That was needed to bring Daniel back from the depht of fear 🗣
The best thing about this is the excitement at the end and how Daniel raised Mr. Miagi's arm to show the audience who he believed was the true champion.
Hard to believe this film came out the same year as Teenage mutant ninja turtles and Ghostbusters
no it didn’t … i assume you meant Ghostbusters 2 and TMNT was the year after.
its creazy how daniel looks like the same person in 2020's but barnes looks like a different person
Proof that Daniel would get destroyed in a streetfight by Barnes
Not anymore if you watched the Cobra Kai series, last season.

Mr. Miyagi was the best, wasn't he? We miss Pat Morita.
Get him a bodybag Yaaaaaaaaaaaa!!
1984 it was the All Valley under 18 championship 5 years later they are still under 18! gotta love the 80s
Its funny how the entire Karate Kid series takes place within a year.
Karate kid 3 is set in 1985
I can't believe I bought a car from this kid...
Was it a rice burner?
Did he chop the price for you?
Mr Miyagi had such honor. He knew theres always someone better and that eventually losing to someone was inevitable. But to lose to your own fear was doing yourself such a disservice.
Would have been great if Daniel had used silvers techniques in the beginning just to score the first 2 points then Barnes anticipates the next moves and starts beating on Daniel and then that’s when Mr. Miyagi steps in to motivate Daniel!! 🙌💪
Honestly, at 8:38 when the music kicks in is just perfect, it really makes it feel like Daniel was reaching a new level or changing into a different person.
Mike could won that fight if he wasn't doing all that street fighter in the tournament
Barnes should have been disqualified after the hit to the face.
Lets take a moment to consider the fact that Ralph Maccio is actually older than Terry Silver actor
7:38: this is the amount of people (including me) that always wanted a master like this.
👇
The music just gets you...
This whole movie is basically what the people who hate the first movie say the first movie is
You have to love Mr Miyagi he was frgin awesome cant want for Cobra kai Season 6
"I have gotten so much from karate." Not enough to remove your shoes before stepping on the mat though.
That silver character actor holy cow he didn't age gracefully.. On the other hand Daniel and the guy from the first movie look the same as when they were young. Amazing how that works.
Well of course he looks older. It's like 30 years difference.
I thought he aged reasonable well.
@@64offsuiter Wrong, Macchio is actually a bit older that Griffin
@@scottwalker6947 I thought he aged much better than the other two. He is also much older.
RIP Pat.....your the man sir
LOVE PAT AND RALPH. Great chemistry.
Weintraub didn't even want Morita for the Miyagi part. What a colossal mistake that would have been.
Referee is a legendary badass
Hard to believe Terry Silver and Daniel Larusso were the same age in real life
Seeing Terry Silver react to Kata always amuses me. That smirk to confusion… lol. Nvm. Daniel-Son is just hallucinating .
Good ending
The look on Martin Kove's face at 9:17 always gets me, haha.
Johnny: Redeemed himself at the end of the first movie.
Chozen: Redeemed himself in Cobra Kai.
Mike Barnes: Still an asshole.
i love how cobra kai handleded mikes character
I love Miyagi, he's like Yoda.
Cobra Kai is freaking awesome how everyone has made an appearance!
Except Snake, hopefully he’s in the final season. 😂
No Dutch either
I love this movie and the whole trilogy but it doesn’t make sense that Daniel is scared of Mike after fighting Chozen to the death just a few months ago.
Sean kanin is great in this.
I never realized how the bad acting by Ralph was like professional wrestling when their acting is bad.
it isn't good cinema, but it was popular!
Leave Daniel-San alone he has courage and that’s it counts
Is Tyson and Jake Paul going to fight in the all valley ? ?
The ending wth Miaggy an Danielle son being Winners is the best part of show,, i got all 3 wth Ralf an Pat Morriato being Miaggy an 5 of Kobra kia series im waitin for ssn 6 the final nmber of the K bra kia series
i miss pat.. a great man! Be with God my friend!
lol@ 7:56 A little over the top there.
Your karates shit!!!! 😂😂😂 like bro, relax.
rest in peace my old friend
Pat morita as Mr Miyagi truly loved Daniel LaRusso AKA Ralph Macchio.
That is the least competent ref in the entire history of karate....
Always wondered why the announcer says the "first ever 2 time champion' for Daniel, yet in Cobra Kai series, we find out Johnny was also a 2-time champ, presumably the 2 years before the year he lost to Daniel.
He also said it in the first film before Johnny fights Vidal
Johnny won 1 time, the year before there was an unnamed champ from Cobra Kai
They literally said "Cobra Kai" won two years in a row, not Johnny
Okay, so, Karate Kid is basically about two grown men who just want to see a child beaten so mercilessly that his own mother won't be able to recognize him? Aren't there laws that protect kids from this kind of physical abuse?
Attack with a slow High right exaggerated upper swing. There is no counter move that can beat it.
And that's why Cobra Kai always looses cause of bad attitude from teacher
*loses
Nothing like a bad student just a bad sensai
Imagine being an interested parent for your teenager in the stands, listening to Silver before the final match, and then seeing his example of "fair play".
Great fights true. How ever Meyagie the best sorry spelling is terrible.
I think what would've been a better story for the third film would be for Daniel to return to Newark because of some family trouble connected to some illegal, underground fighting business. Miyagi goes back with him (of course) and a story unfolds where Daniel has to enter a fight to maybe free his family from some local mobsters who are running the fights. Usual story - have a great bully villain and you're away! This would've be great because it's a different kind of fight where Daniel would be fighting for his life, and with his family's lives at stake, it feels way different for him than the first two films.
😢👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I always cry
Bravo Danijel san.
Daniel is in Uk and alice in wonderland in Japan...
Cornelia is here...
I have, and will never, fight for entertainment. This conflict would have been over in under :45 seconds... If you cannot see, you cannot fight. If you cannot breath, you cannot fight. If you cannot move, you cannot fight.
Just like Chozen says to Daniel “you are nervous Daniel-San” about Terry Silver
So much cheese, but damn its still good!
Mike looked confused at the end because doing kata is illegal in a tournament.
Exactly myagi do always cheating like the previous year when Danny used an illegal kick on Johnny and subsequently ruined his life.
🤔 Anyone know a
Good furniture salesman? 🤣
So He fought Chosen to Death, in Okinawa, and then went back home, and chickened out against a guy that chosen could destroy in a heartbeat? That’s what I hated about this movie. You’d think after having fought for his life in Okinawa, against a true Karate master he’d go on the third one to take on a challenge where the stakes are higher, with a more dramatic arc, but fighting in the All Valley championship again… and with no fighting evolution after the experiences of the first 2. What a disappointment. I can’t stress enough how much I hated this movie. Pat Morita and Ralp Macchio were great, but the writing…. Absolutely lazy.
No one cares what you think
9 people do in internet land so far
Dude mike destroys chozen
Definitely would have made more sense if part three came before part 2.
@@TheLegoJoker Especially since we never got an actual conclusion with Kumiko. The other two girls we did get a conclusion with. Ali's conclusion with Daniel might not have been good, but at least that had a conclusion as to what came out of it. Jessica ultimately friend-zoned Daniel, but again, there was a conclusion. We don't see what happened with Daniel and Kumiko. Did they just break up because he had to go back to the States? Did Chozen steal her from Daniel? Did Kumiko die? I'm not exactly the biggest guy on romance, but you need to conclude your stories, and Daniel & Kumiko made for a nice couple. One I surprisingly thought was better than Daniel & Ali.
2 KK movies later they still can't tell Daniel-San isn't even a

Karate comes from China in reality but the japanese made it great
i dont understand why he is so afraid, his fight against hjis opponent in part 2 was much scarier
Background added music wasn't necessary. Far better to actually hear the voice lines
I remember him telling the guy earlier on about dumping toxic sludge was, so insulting. He probably sacked thqt guy afterwards.
Arnold taught him well.
Always thought it odd that Daniel is afraid in this film yet in #2 he fights to the death…
KK3 should have been KK2 and KK2 should have billed as KK3
@@LyonhartZ2 YES. That would have been way better. It is also possible (a lot of people disagree) that Mike was a totally superior fighter to Chozen and would have won fairly easily had they fought. In some alternate universe scenario where its Barnes instead of Daniel being attacked at the end of KK2 I do not think Mike would have spared him as Daniel did....
@@Zurround I dont know of barnes being superior. The character of Chozen is a Gangster/Fighter/Mafia type, who probably trained since he was an infant. A real street fighter if you will. Barnes seemed to be physically tough but have you seen Chozen's physique? (Bruce Lee-like)
There's something about the All Valley tournament that brings fear into people, but facing death has a calming effect.
@@LyonhartZ2 Mike Barnes would certainly stand a better chance against him than almost any other person though. Chozen might not get to have the almost effortless taking candy from a baby victory that he would have against a regular person.
