"You are like a beautiful apple, delicious." That will be my one and only pick up line from now on, thank you Henry, for blessing us with your wisdom once again.
At the end of high school, in Canada, I went to the Netherlands as an exchange student, speaking NO Dutch before I arrived. I borrowed a phrasebook from the local library, and flipped to a random page, blindly pointing at what I'd decided would be a trademark "survival" phrase. It turned out to be, "Waar kan ik vinden een snoerlos scheerapparat, alsublieft?", or, "Where can I find a cordless shaver, please?". It quickly became a great ice-breaker in social situations, until I had some basic ability in Dutch. I would recommend to anyone to try learning a silly nonsense phrase, in a language you don't speak, in order to make people laugh and put them at ease. Even if he's struggling, it's worth the effort on Henry's part.
My one and only pick up line from now on will be "how much does your dad weigh?"

The gentleman's Amendment desire is what was originally done. The founding fathers actually felt if we started paying them a salary it would eventually lead to a new Nobility class. Which is exactly what has happened.
Agreed.
@Kristopher Chavez So like Trump? He gave up his entire salary during his time as President. The only President ever to do so. Trump made absolutely no money from his position the entire time.
@@MrKevin486 but… but… but… he made a whole dollar! PER YEAR!!!
The gentlemen said the politician would receive a salary, just not an excessive one. Honestly, the amount that a politician makes in-office from salary isn't a huge concern. The part that is concerning is how much a politician makes from other activities while in office. Speaking fees, advances on book deals, consultation fees, there are a lot of ways that politicians get 'paid' for doing trivial amounts of work. And of course, that money is thinly disguised bribes for political favors.
Presidents and Senators shouldn't make millions of dollars while in office, and yet every single one does. I'm not talking about campaign funds, I'm talking personal fortune.
