    Great video! Question, Ive been approved on a EB1, submitted i485, i131 and early feb/2022 got my receipts. Did our biometrics in april but nothing since then. Do you think it is necessary to stay in my F1 status until the combocard or greemcards are issued?

      Hi! While it is important to remain in status, I understand working out the timing while you wait for your Green Card to get approved can be kind of confusing. Please reach out to our office at www.lojolaw.com to schedule a consultation with the Attorney so that we can help you with your specific immigration legal matters!

    I just applied for adjustment of status for my Wife and her daughter. (K1and k2 from ukraine) but I am a little worried. I applied in December 23rd And today ( February 7th) we received her initial interview appointment for March 7th. That's only 2.5 months. I am in shock 😲 have you ever heard of this situation? 2.5 month process? I thought this was 9 to 14 month process

      Hello! That is a surprisingly short time to receive an interview notice! However, we do know that USCIS is trying their best to schedule interviews and get through their caseload given how the pandemic created such a backlog. Since the interview is coming up, if you would like help preparing for the interview, and any guidance for your case, please reach out to us to set up a consultation with the Attorney. You can call the office or visit our website at www.lojolaw.com and fill out the contact information so that we can reach out to schedule you for a consultation!

    Thanks for the video. I filed for i-485, i - 765 and I-131 in July of 2021 and had my biometrics done August 19th. The i-131 has been approved since February 10th but since then, nothing. Is this normal? Is there something I’m not doing? 🙏🏿

      Hello! My first recommendation is to check the case status for each of your applications on the USCIS website, all you need is the case number on your receipt notice. If the only update is that your case is still pending, there may not be much else you can do. However, there are a lot of reasons your case could be pending for a long time, but we would need more information specific to your case. Please visit our website and reach out to us to be scheduled for a consultation with the Attorney, so that she can answer your immigration legal questions and give you the guidance you need!

      Hello! If you are worried about the length of time your case is taking, please visit the USCIS Case Processing Times page here: egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/
      Using the information on your I-485 receipt notice you should be able to find out if your case is outside of normal processing times, and if you are eligible to submit an inquiry to USCIS.

    which center is faster to get Greencard, concurrent wotj i 140 and i 485 will be slow process and why

    • @LOJOimmigration
      @LOJOimmigration  Před 2 lety

      Hi There! Typically, you do not get to choose where you file your concurrent I-140 & I-485. I suggest you look up filing locations on the USCIS website and make sure that you are filing at the correct location. Due to the increasing amount of cases USCIS has received, and the many difficulties the department has faced because of COVID-19, there have been extremely longer wait times. At our office, we have seen that some cases will be transferred to other locations once received by the initial processing center in order to help move things along because these longer wait times are affecting everyone. If you have further questions about your case, please reach out to us at LOJO Immigration by giving our office a call or visiting our website at www.lojolaw.com.

    Hello Jonelle,
    Submitted i-485 Sup-J on 26th Jan 2022 and its more than 30 days but haven't received the receipt notice or any update from USCIS. Is there a way that we can find out what's going on? What are all the options that I have if I want to follow up? Thanks

    • @LOJOimmigration
      @LOJOimmigration  Před 2 lety

      Hello! Unfortunately, USCIS is still dealing with major backlogs as our office also has difficulties with regular communication from USCIS. However, there may be a few options on how to follow up with your case, please reach out to us to schedule a consultation by visiting our website and completing the contact information so that we can get back to you to schedule a consultation with the Attorney.

      @@LOJOimmigration Thank you for the response. Last week, I had received the receipt notice for my sup-J. However, I just learned that USCIS has approved many GC applications which have priority date much later than mine. I find that surprising because I always believed that priority date matters but it seems, it does not anymore. Have you seen this happening with the cases that you have filed. Any insight why would USCIS operate this way or let this happen?
