To be honest, when it comes to unturned it comes as well to nostalgia, for me atleast. The games singleplayer experience is surprisingly good since you can dive into different map where each one has different lore and quests, along side a lot of items and customization which I guess is good, even though it might be overwhelming at first. Then there are different types of multiplayer experiences that varies from survival pve to faction pvp, and even modded experiences and modes that totally differ from dayZ or even the aspect of surviving in an apocalyptic world. Also, I find the amazing aspect of unturned is the blocky aspect, I don't know why but I am just acquainted with it, I don't know why but it feels different, which can be good. But yeah, unturned is definitely a fun experience to try.
this video is just great imo. I can see that youve tried the games for yourself and even split the games in dirrefrent categories. for example when u said "play deadside if you have less time. play scum or dayz if you have more". very good video it really should get more views for that. The problem with scum is that the game literally hands you food, water and shelter without have to do anything for it. You can wonder around eating food right from the first and keep your metabolism perfect. Drink any fresh water source without treating it and go to any building to find safety. Yet it's supposed to be an ultra realistic survival game? No it's a zombie looters shooter. I have a major problem with calling scum a survival game.
You forgot to mention Vigor one of the best free console games I played in years and it’s made by the creators of DayZ and it’s just like escape from tarkov only it’s 3rd person it’s free on switch, PlayStation and Xbox one
Good video, best thing i think about Tarkov is, it's gunplay. I don't think there's any other game that details its guns from the inside out, every part being 1 to 1 to the smallest details, dayz's gunplay feels very clunky to me, while tarkov every gun feels different and amazing to shoot.
For sure, especially with how much detail they've put into modding and attachments. I don't think any other games comes close to tarkov in terms of gunplay.
With deadside yeah its also not a survival game. It's a looters shooter but more incentive to build a base than scum. It's definitely not easy as you described. You can't clear out harder missions in deadside unless you are fully kitted out and you still probably die. Deadside is fast progression, but fast to lose it. It's about gun fighting, definitely not about survival but it also is not as easy as you made it sound. Go do a convoy alone, you'll have zero chance. Sure you'll have a loadout in 20 minutes and that's why it fun. You can then start taking on harder missions and then as you are fighting that mission a player kills you and takes it all. That is typical deadside
I don't think there will be a DayZ killer because of the DayZ modding community. The different servers and playstyles is crazy. I do own Scum, it takes the survival to a whole new level. On the fence about Deadside, might not have enough survival elements for me.
SCUM will have a Steam Workshop soon after the release of this game after version 1.0. That's when I think that it will be a Dayz killer. It seems to me that the servers will also be better with mods than in Dayz
dayz map probably felt boring to you because it is a real location, pretty much a road-2-road detailed recreation of the usti nad lebam region of czechia. you can find comparison videos on here, and well known dayz youtubers who took trips to visit the real location. its a vast countryside with small villages & towns between long narrow lanes and endless fields. even the road maps and water pumps exist there exactly how they look in dayz. it may be a bit boring and large to run around considering it takes about 45 minutes real time to cross from 1 corner of the map to the other, but you have to give credit to sumrak for the deep details.
dayz is fun ... but it gets boringing because it takes forever to get looted until you die .wish scum was on console tho i agree with you its awesome reason i want scum is because of the survival aspect , and then Deadside !! its also a cool game only issue again its only on pc but same wit tarkov lol im just getting pc now , and dude ur video is great , i dont think id even have the skill to even exploit or explain or talk through a game and be able to sound like i want to listen to myself so keep going ur doing great
@@lesterjjj1369 that will be exciting for me since I don't want to learn how to build a PC and or have the finance available to buy a PC capable of editing or running games at 1440p or higher where you would prefer to play games at with amd and NVIDIA freesync and hdmi2.1 since you need proper monitor to go with the capability of the graphics card and all that stuff you want and desire for gaming... Console is just cheaper and for me personally it cuts out all the drama of PC and I can afford to buy a 4k tv with the console that can run the games , however it's not as smooth on console but at least no one on console has the upper hand so it's an equal base for everyone to play on
I legit own all of these games gave hundreds of hours in all but scum, I hate scum and I only play dayz, it’s h1z1 survival was back I would be so happy

I'm sick of playing dayz because it's complete trash. Every time I play it I announce that I'm not hostile and I like to help fresh ponds because it is kind of a zombie game but I could gather so much stuff and so many supplies and explore a new part of the map and secretly get taken out by a player who is using aimbot or ESP and I have no way of reporting them to the admins because I play on Xbox. The last time I played recently it was pitch dark I couldn't even see two inches in front of me I didn't have any light sources on me I went off the road into the woods bent down behind the tree to reorganize my inventory and without notice I was dead in an instant.. someone had sniped me from who the hell knows where.
Rust... "PvP is a large part of the game" The sad thing about this: The gunplay is just such bigh 1990 trash, its not even funny. Animations, Sounds, Models, Gunplay, Features... Its all just outdated AF. Its comparable to Ark. Same shit gunplay as Rust

I tried to keep the first 3 very similar to DayZ, but i also wanted to have a few that were pretty different but in the same general ballpark. Just for the people who like the feel of DayZ but are getting a bit sick of it's gameplay. If that makes any sense haha
