After receiving some recommendations from you, I have decided to record my first narrated walk... A kind of test that initially had the objective of lasting 7 minutes, but time flew by and I ended up talking for almost half an hour. I arrived at the Santiago Center somewhat disoriented, since the initial location was different, but I had to abandon it due to security problems. So in an unplanned place and with the nerves of being my first narrated walk, I found myself totally cold in front of the places and I even completely forgot that today was Heritage Day!... I apologize for that and I hope Leave me your comments to know if you prefer silent walks or if you like to listen to my narration.
About the channel...
in Motion is a channel that seeks to portray various corners of the city and its surroundings, where the streets and its architecture are the protagonists. The content of this space is inspired by various "Walking" channels around the world and the desire to leave a record so that my children can appreciate in the future how the city where they lived looked.
About my city...
Santiago also known as Santiago de Chile, is the capital and largest city of Chile as well as one of the largest cities in the Americas. It is the center of Chile's most densely populated region, the Santiago Metropolitan Region, whose total population is 8 million, of which more than 6 million live in the city's continuous urban area. The city is entirely in the country's central valley. Most of the city lies between 500-650 m (1,640-2,133 ft) above mean sea level.
About the places we will visit...
Palacio de La Moneda or simply La Moneda, is the seat of the President of the Republic of Chile. It also houses the offices of three cabinet ministers: Interior, General Secretariat of the Presidency and General Secretariat of the Government. It occupies an entire block in downtown Santiago, in the area known as Civic District between Moneda (North Side), Morandé (East), Alameda del Libertador Bernardo O'Higgins (South) and Teatinos street (West).
La Moneda, originally a colonial mint house, was designed by Italian architect Joaquín Toesca. Construction began in 1784 and was opened in 1805, while still under construction. The production of coins in Chile took place at La Moneda from 1814 to 1929.
In June, 1845 during president Manuel Bulnes's administration, the palace became the seat of government and presidential residence. In 1930, a public square-named Plaza de la Constitución ("Constitution Square")-was built in front of the palace. After the presidency of Gabriel González Videla it ceased to serve as a presidential residence.

Wonderful walk Carlos! I love the arty vibe of Santiago as well as the classical buildings, such a cool place! Congrats on your first narrated walk, I found it very interesting and ofcourse the brilliant Chilean accent is a winner my friend!😎❤
Thank you my friend Stuart! I have to say I spoke very correctly because If I speak my regular chilean the app gone mad! XD
@@inMotion_walks I was so impressed with your narration throughout the video Carlos. The ending with the man and the little boy dancing with the drum was really cool!❤❤
Hi there Carlos! I’ll watch replay later tonight but the thumbs up already😃just heard an artist from Chile Pablo Rojas, don’t know the words but that voice, WOW! TC!👋
Hi Monica! Wow I don't know Pablo Rojas, is he a young singer? By the way Monica, this video has Swedish subtitles ;) I hope the subtitle is ok hehe... TC my friend!
@@inMotion_walks he was in the Voice Chile, young and very talanted😃! I’m looking forward to see your video! Now it’s sleepingtime for me and Harryhund 😴! TC both you and the wild chatgang🥰
I loved that you narrated in this video! Thanks for doing it, we like hearing your voice! 🥰 It helps you feel the connection to the place you are watching. 😃
Thank you Yvette my friend! I fixed now some mistakes in the subtitles, do you think it was ok the translation? And happy you liked this format :) I'm waiting for your walk :D
@@inMotion_walks Yes it was good! I haven’t had a chance to rewatch it yet. When I do I will be able to pay better attention to the subtitles and let you know. 😊 I’m hopefully going to get the video up tomorrow. Jack has such a good voice, I sound like kid haha 😂
@@EveM9964 I bet Jack has a deep voice! BTW my wife says the same about her voice, hehe...
@@inMotion_walks Does she, I guess us women are critical of ourselves. Actually, Jack doesn’t have a deep voice. I bet you’ll be surprised. 😃
@@inMotion_walks Just rewatched your video and I think the translation is very good! 👍🏼😃
Carlos, Now that you have started speaking on your videos/walks, it brings it to a new level.
I'm so looking forward to seeing and hearing your next video, my friend!
Tack min vän Jack! It was weird but in the end I felt good :) So well, I guess it was ok for another narrated walk. Take care my friend!
@@inMotion_walks please go easy on yourself Carlos, You did really well. You will see that it will become second nature to you. 🙏💙
Thank you so Much Carlos, this video was really enjoyable, I think the sound was very good, and I really (Like all the others) like your voice. Spanish is very good (especially with subtitles). Having your narration in the walk with subtitles (I hope all the subtitles didn't give you a lot of work) really lifts it to a new level, and sense of contact with you (like having a personal guide). And of course the vibes of the city and grand architecture.... love it! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Tack så mycket, Olov! I'm happy you liked it and I guess you watched the video with Swedish subtitles? Well, it's cool I can speak my mother tongue and all of you enjoy anyway the walk with the subtitles. I really appreciate your comment my friend!
Gracias, Carlos!
Good work Carlos! Nice to hear you speak. Did you do all the subtitles yourself in youtube studios? Or is there some automatic thing you can do? I have some plans with a guest that speaks Swedish :-)
Hej Nordin! Thank you man :) No, I used veed.io which is an app that it suppose to do the translation better than CZcams, first the app hear the original language and propose a subtitle. it's not so accurate as they say, I spent a lot of time fixing the words and fit in time, but it's better than CZcams and well, then the app offer you the possibility to translate to other languages, that is cool. But you have to re-upload the new subtitle file and I think I didn't do that, so the version of Swedish you can read here is from the original subtitle what the app propose me. I don't know if I'm explaining myself well, hehe... Cool you will have a local guest! :)
@@inMotion_walks Thanks a lot for the tip my friend! I will definitely check it out. Yes think I got it :-) I found CZcamss own translator and it seems doing ok but I will try this app first
me encantan estos videos, keep them coming!!!
Quedó mucho más ameno con narración. Congrats!
Gracias, Beto.
Te has ganado un nuevo suscriptor. Really nice walk in Santiago’s downtown. Not many people in Sweden can imagine how the architecture in Santiago’s inner city looks like! Just love it. Keep it going!
Saludos desde Suecia
PS.
This was fun my friend! Like to hear your voice and spanish is beautyful to listen to! Thank’s for the walk! TC!👋
Happy you liked it my friend! And I watched the singer who you mentioned before, that guy has an amazing voice! He has a big future I think :) TC!
@@inMotion_walks 😃👌
Also, I hope you are having a nice day! 🙏💙
@@jackjax532 I hope you guys are having a nice day too. Where is going HarryHund today, Monica? hehe
@@inMotion_walks Hej Carlos! Lol I can picture Harry pulling Monica all my on a walk 🤣
Saludos a Australia!
Buen video!... que cámara utilizas?
Gracias!
genial carlos buen video
Gracias, Bill!
It was good to go back and watch this video from the beginning. Your narration was very good, Carlos, and I enjoyed wandering through these streets of central Santiago. Barrel organs are very popular in the Netherlands where they are known as draaiorgels, they have a very unique and distinctive style and are a favourite tourist attraction.
Thank you very much Dik, I'm glad the narration with the subtitles is working for you guys who don't speak Spanish. This is a good proof that maybe I can do more videos like this. I was doing some research after the walk about the barrel organs and you are right, it's a beautiful tradition, but you don't have "chinchineros" (the people who join the music dancing and playing the drum), right?
@@inMotion_walks Very true, Carlos, the tradition of chinchineros must be unique to Chile.
Dik - I loved the fact that is was in spanish too, the feeling of being there. I think Stockholm walking channels should use this concept with talk in swedish and subtitles in english.
@@inMotion_walks I loved the fact that you spoked spanish Carlos, as I told our friend Dik it's making me feel like I am being there, so great job Carlos my friend with this video.
Gracias! Definitivamente iré a esos barrios 👍🏽
Great video👍 Santiago is a very nice city. Shame about all the graffiti, looks like its out of control.
Thank you for watching! Welcome :)
Hola Aruni, no entiendo.

Saludos!
Sexy voice though.
Gracias por tu comentario, Jasmine!
