Hi sir, My native is kimbakonam. Try the authentic lunch ( Brahman style) served in Banana leaf in Venkatramana hotel at Entrance of Big bazaar street at kumbakonam.. Their Rava Dosa and Halwa also famous and Parotta stall near Sarangapani temple entrance also good. ( Forgot the shop name). Typical street food. Very small shop with more crowd.

Super , Andavar Halwa used to serve coffee ☕️. It seems you missed it. Rayas is very good Hotel 🏨. The owner is perfect gentleman, In year 1991 , I travelled with him and a cyclist 🚴♀️ youth rammed into our car. He had minor bruises. The Rayas owner took him in his ambassador car 🚘 and we went to a clinic in Trichy Ponnagar to treat the cyclist 🚴♀️. He stayed in clinic , both his wife and daughter Mona Lalitha student of holy cross college also waited till the treatment. He is top notch businessman and he could have offered money and carried on with his business routine. But Rayas owner and his family aptly demonstrated the kindness. I am sure such serene qualities cascaded in their business establishment as well. I happened to stay in year 2003 and met another kind soul actor Pandiyarajan at hotel. Rayas is the blessed 😇 place and happy to know you enjoyed great stay. Great people establish good relationships which is an ever green asset in business. Take care and Stay Blessed 😇. Hare Krishna.
Very nice to know about Raya hotel owner 's good qualities, but the staff at the hotel don't have such kind attitude and quality. May he instill some good qualities of his own into Raya hotel staff, particularly the reception staff 😃👍

In general you can’t expect the best customer support you experience in Coimbatore in anywhere in this world. My whole family stayed in Jan and had an excellent stay. There is a restaurant in the entrance attached to this hotel where food was excellent.
