Winter in Salzburg - My life in Austria

Winter is almost over and spring is just behind the door. So here comes the Winter video.
Disclaimer: Not all the scenes are from Salzburg. Some are from Slovakia, particularly some snowy forest scenes and the rolling barrels scenes. But I bet no one can really tell.
Winter in Salzburg for me starts with Krampus - the evil spirit of Christmas. This year the Krampuslauf finally took place after years of Covid... so I made sure I did not miss it and fully compensated for my Krampus deficit by also visiting events in remote areas, which are generally wilder and way more fun.
Salzburg in winter is the place to be. It is of course perfect for skiing, has the most magical Christmas markets, and also offers peaceful retreats into snowy forests. It is often very challenging, but we run outside throughout winter. Most of our runs are either early in the morning or late at night, when there is no light and the temperature is sub-zero, there is often rain or wind or snow... and stepping out the door requires a lot of willpower. But a passion is a passion.
Due to work and other plans, spring and summer videos might be even more out of Salzburg than this video... but I don't want to let life's circumstances stop me. I'm just gonna adapt to them and hopefully, the end result will be even better than the original plan.
The song choice is always a difficult one as there are quite a few different themes in the video (Krampus, Christmas, skiing, running and hiking), but once again, Lindsay has saved me.

Hey, came here from your Instagram! What a great dose of winter in 3 minutes. I wish I lived somewhere that got that much snow in the winter, it just makes everything look even more beautiful to me.

Hi @Rosie Baillie 😊 if you wish to see it, I definitely recommend a holiday somewhere where there is so much snow. Its not all just poetic and nice though... Most of the days are dark, cold and quite gloomy. 😅
