Great car and the new 300bhp diesel is an absolute animal, great second hand buy and its a Porsche, i'd have it over any bland Euro-Box Beemer Audi blah blah...

They're reviewing the car as though it's a Lotus Elise! Review the car for what it's intended for and clearly hammering round a narrow track is not its purpose. A very blinkered review, for a more mature, sober critique of this vehicle, watch Chris Harris's take on it.
Totally agree on this. Really don't like how all reviewers keep talking about use cases that was it never intended for. Driving it around a track and then base your entire opinion on it is absolutely useless.
Its a porsche not a honda or skoda.... its a porsche and you all can pretend all you want you'd bever soend the money they are asking for a 1.9 tonne porsche diesel with a 250 hp v6... its slow btw and expensive. Why do you want to be contrary just for the sake of it? Its not making you more interesting...
Just looked, 78k 78 thousand, thats the starting price no options for this... add two packages 88k... you still ready to pep for this 250 hp v6 diesel...
If you can afford a Porsche, it shouldn't be a Diesel. They're not wrong.

Yes I hate a diesel Panamera, but 0/10 is WAAAAY too harsh. I mean, the interior is top notch.

I get it about Diesels, except when Audi won 5 of the 24 Hours of Le Mans races since 2006 with Diesels. You can't just plant a Diesel in a gasoline/petrol car and expect it to work the same.
It is however a singularly bletcherous looking, uh, vehicle.
Why try save fuel ? Because those who have money like to keep a hold of it

Team needs to work out what this type of car is for... If you're regularly crossing continents you really don't want to be stopping every couple of hundred miles / couple of hours for fuel!! It's a completely fundamental reason for any big, proper GT to be diesel - or to have a 200 litre fuel tank.

You can't really talk about economy when the car starts at a whopping 72000 pounds. Diesel engines are great, but not in a Porsche IMHO.
How can they call that a review, they’ve lost touch with the average joe so, it’s the perfect car, for the second hand market, for people like me, who don’t want a Ford Mondeo. Can’t afford to drive a gas guzzler. But can get a luxury car that’s sporty enough, and can bring 4 people and your dogs in the back. Down from 72k, to 20k. It’s a No brainier. Now that would be a better review.
I like the Panamera, and if your country doesn´t have a diesel tax that is really economical, and how it´s bad if you can have more miles with your money ?

The 3 litre diesel has 250 BHP compared to a 2.7 litre air cooled Porsche 911 which has 175 BHP. The diesel has 75BHP more

+1 .. Many buyers in the luxo-barge saloon market (Jag XJ, .7 Series, .A/S8, .S Class, .Tesla, etc.) agree with Ms. Vicky regarding the Panamera ver.1 styling. .. The diesel 3.0l fitment is another peculiar Porsche AG marketing decision altogether. .. The Panamera is-what-it-is, independent of its pedigree namesake. .. Drove a Panamera S (service loaner) for several days and I can tell you, the exterior aesthetic as controversial as it is .. all but disappears when challenging the chassis agility; Suspension, braking and engine performance of this heavy weight, 2-ton plus luxo-barge. .. Nice Team Test review. .. I'll stick with my '98 Porsche C2S (993) coupe.

So what that bell-end Tiff is saying he is happy to fill up with fuel every time he has to stop for the loo, Me, I hate having to fuel up, cars should have large enough fuel tanks so you can do several hundred miles without having to fill up. or only need fueling up at the end of the day, 700 mile range sounds great.

I agree with the diesel "error" choice, especially since VAG got into this "diesel mess". Diesels should be reserved for trucks, where it can remain logical. In passenger cars, go for hybrids, PHEV, or EVs in the future.
Well I'd rather have a diesel Porsche than a LPG converted Porsche, you have no idea how many Cayennes are converted to run on LPG because driving them on petrol is incredibly expensive

It's a TV show, therefore there are broadcasting rights to abide by.
I see alot of other programs on CZcams soon after filming. It's not like the whole episode. It's just going to make it a little long in the tooth.
Chris Harris liked the Panamera, and so did Harry from EVO. So thumbs down for 5th gear. As the Panamera isn't a race car, Chris Harris and Harry have much more credibility than Tiff when it comes to everyday use.

Even in everyday usage, less worry to fill it up all the time. I have to fill up a gas-guzzling merc every 1.5 weeks. I wish I went for a diesel. If you have a family of 4 and want the badge the amazing interior, and the amzing gt capabilities the panamera diesel beats everything especially the new one with 420 bhp
Why a diesel? Well to have the same fuel costs with a petrol car, you need to convert it to run on LPG, so what would you rather have - LPG or diesel? I choose diesel because LPG converted Porsche sounds way more ridiculous than a diesel Porsche.
