there's a box set of Hosono-san called "Crown Years 1974-1977" which includes 100+ page booklet, 3 CDs and a DVD of the live performace containing exactly this video. I think R. Sakamoto is playing the electric piano in this session too. I think Hosono-san is a phenominal artist, putting the commercial aspect aside. Plays with Tin Pan Alley, on to YMO, then on to produce NAMCO Video Game Music (popular games at the time like Pacman, Xevious, Mappy, Galaga, etc. His music is always ahead of time!!
This is the best. There used to be more videos of him during this time period. Not sure what happened to them. I'd especially like to find the live version of Hurricane Dorothy from the early years.

YMO散開の時のTVでこの映像初めて見て、子供ながらにカッコよくて衝撃だったの覚えてます。クラウンイヤーズで手に入れた時はホント嬉しかったな。教授がいたはずなんだけど全編通して全く映ってないのだけが残念。
近年、星野源さんをゲストに迎えて・・・・そうです！ 細野さんが、当時は坂本龍一もいて・・・って仰っていましたね！
ymoしか知らなかったんだけど、細野氏はやっぱ天才だな。
鈴木茂氏がバンジョーを演奏する姿も貴重だな。
トロピカルダンディーのジャケット含め、センスが飛び抜けてる。
なんか自由で時間がゆったりとしていた時代だったよなと感じますね。

ベース担当の田中章弘氏、水樹奈々さんのライブサポートベーシストて活躍されている。この映像の素晴らしさの分かる水樹奈々ファンなんて自分ぐらいだろうなぁと思ったりしてる。
有名なベーシストさんですよね。一説には日本人で初めてスラップ(バチンて弦を弾くやつ)をしたベーシストだという。
ベースの田中章弘さんは、鈴木茂さんとハツクルバックで活躍。山下達郎さんの曲“BOMBER”でスラップベースがかっこ良かったですね。日本で最初にスラップベースを弾いたのは、誰でしょうか？細野さんもはっぴぃえんどの時には弾いていましたよね。小原礼さんか後藤次利さんかも。
