He went down to the realm of the dead as a Saviour, proclaiming the Good News to the spirits imprisoned there. (1 Peter 3:18-19) He has raised up all who have slept ever since the world began. He went to the abode of the death, "Hell" - Sheol in Hebrew or Hades in Greek to free the just who had gone before him. (Matthew 27: 52-53)
Do you believe Jesus, Jesus said the only sign that would be given was the sign of Jonah, AS Jonah was 3 days and 3 nights in the belly of the whale, so the Son of Man would be 3 days and 3 nights in the heart of the earth. JESUS had to be crucified on the Wednesday, not Friday. ST. MARKS GOSPEL STATES, that the following day, was a High Sabbath, A high sabbath is the same as the Holy sabbath day which is Saturday. The week Christ was crucified had two Sabbaths, A high sabbath and a Holy Sabbath. JESUS would have rode Into Jerusalem on the Friday before, HE WAS THE LAMB BEING TAKING TO HIS FATHERS HOUSE THE HOLY TEMPLE, FOR 4DAYS, Depending what time he arrived at, He would have been in the temple from Friday to Saturday (1 day) Saturday to Sunday (2) days, Sunday to Monday (3 days) Monday to Tuesday (4 days). JESUS WAS IN THE TEMPLE 4 DAYS, HE WAS FOUND NOT TO HAVE ANY BLEMISH. THIS is when he ate the passover meal with his deciples in the evening and washed their feet, He and the deciples went to the garden of Gethsemine, to pray, and then he was betrayed by Judas and arrested, and the bible is clear about what happened his trial before the Sandhedian, his appearances before Pilot and King Herod, His flogging and back again before Pilot to be sentenced to Crucification. Wednesday had to be the day of the crucification, The following day was the high Sabbath (Thursday) FRIDAY was the day of Preperation , Saturday was the Holy Sabbath day, This day ended at Sunset, when the 1st day, Sunday began , This is when Jesus rose from the grave. The women came to the tomb early in the morning before light, and the event had already happened . This gave Jesus what he stated 3 days and 3 nights in the belly of the earth.
