- The Miracle of Holy Fire is translated as the Miracle of Holy Light in Greek. Before it is a fire, it is first a light. The light of Christ is the miracle. The fire is just an effect.

The ceremony happens every year. Not sure that the government will allow the general public to attend this year though. They might have to livestream it like they did last year. The light does not come at a set time.

Thank you for your honest video that you have made, I am not Greek but I am ARMENIAN Apostolic Orthodox, I would make one little hint about the honourable Greek Patriarch he doesn't pass the light to the Armenian Priest, the Armenian Priest's candel would be lighten up as well by the MIRACLE, why does the Greek Patriarch walk's in the HOLY place because HE IS OLDER BY AGE and HIS TITLE, yet the ARMENIAN PRIESTS are always younger and the ARMENIAN PATRIARCH will be PRAYING from the outside, and the Armenian priest before he comes out HE passes the HOLY LIGHT through the tiny window on the side, and the bells start ringing by the Armenian Priests letting the whole Jerusalem and the world know that the HOLY LIGHT HAS COME AGAIN... THE MIRACLE OF MIRACLES has happened again.

I'm sorry my friend but you don't seem to know nor learn from history. Centuries ago armenians paid the ottomans to ditch the greek patriarch and let them in the tomb for the Holy Fire, it never came to them but instead the greek patriarch who was standing outside the church, the holy fire come to him, the ottomans witnessing this, punished the amernian. I bet they never told you this. Not to mention that last year one of your bishops claimed that the holy fire is a fraud. That's a shame.

Why Roman Catholic Church don't have holy light ?
All the Orthodox Churches were one with the Catholic Church for 13 centuries. Only recently has the Roman Catholic Church turned its back on many Apostolic traditions, the Christmas Fast (abandoned in 1240s), Lenten fasts (1960s), centrality of the Holy Liturgy (1970s) & etc. If the Catholic Church embraces and returns to the teachings and beliefs of the first 13 centuries, the churches will be one again (Jesuit school).

Main one being the creation of the Pope as infallible, others relates to the procession of the Holy Spirit. They basically started making stuff up on their own and turned to “reason” over the “heart” or knowing…nous. Also adopted a lot of pagan rituals that were prominent in Rome at the time; or so I’ve been told. I’m not an expert but ya…they took a turn away from Christs church. ☦️

Can this be filmed and thus investigated? I believe that Jesus rose from the dead , not merely on a spiritual sense but also in a physical sense. Thus I see no reason why it would be wrong to hide this miracle. Film it, and alow it to assist in the evangelization of the world. While many will not be convinced (as Jesus said in the parable of Lazarus), some would believe.

In this case though, the fire does not descend from Heaven but rises from within the Tomb, so the above verse seem not to apply to this particular event.

Worshiping graves and performing such miracles was never *God's will!*
They will not be able to seduce the chosen ones with such Greek "wonders"!

At Easter 2008, a scientist from Russia’s National Research Center (Kurchatov Institute), the physicist Andrey Volkov, Associate Professor in Mechanics of Materials, was appointed head of a scientific mission which aimed at investigating the miracle of the Holy Fire. The project was organized by Professor Alexander Moskovsky.
Andrey Volkov entered the Church of the Holy Sepulchre armed with the necessary equipment. The basic instrument he used for his measurements was an oscilloscope which was connected to a laptop equipped with the appropriate software. He located himself approximately fifteen meters from the Holy Sepulchre and his basic priority was to record the phase of electromagnetic radiation at specific frequencies.
Various spectra of electromagnetic radiation were registered. On that day the Professor was the first person (even before the patriarch went out to the faithful with the Fire) to learn that the Holy Fire had descended because his instruments showed a very strong electrical discharge.
In April 2016, Gennady Zaridze, Chairman of the Association of Orthodox Christian Scientists used a pyrometer, which by means of a non-contact infrared thermometer measures the temperature of an object’s surface, for measuring the temperature of the Holy Fire. A silver plate which was five millimeters wide and one millimeter thick was used as an object. As silver is one of the greatest heat conducting metals, when you place a plate in fire it will instantly obtain the temperature of the flame.
He used that pyrometer and it registered the temperature of the Holy Fire right after its descent. It turned out that the average temperature of the Fire was forty-two degrees Celsius. Fifteen minutes later the temperature had reached 320° Celsius. These results offer a clear scientific argument, since there is not any analogous physical phenomenon.

The holy light is a joke, it is not a miracle. Instead of holy light, why God doesn't give food to only one poor by miracle?

Oh please! Its such a shame they lie. Their ancestors were so intelligent, and now a miracle, on cue, every year! Why not be honest. One day, when they're not looking, they will be found out and look like fools.
How is it a lie the fire doesn’t burn you there’s instances of random candles lighting and the light doesn’t appear at the exact same time every year. you should go and feel that light for your self

Scientists would be lining up to see this if it were true. Put your emotions aside and think! Its just a beautiful tradition that I've witnessed and am moved by myself. But its based on a lie!

But you will find those who put it on clothes and they do not burn and who keep it on them selves for a while and nothing happens. There’s no way they could’ve made a “fake fire” a thousand years ago this miracle has been happening for at least 1200 years. I believe because I’ve seen and because I’ve felt. As someone who’s actually experienced things and heard God trust me, this is real. There are no contradictions in the bible. Catholics have tried to light it on many occasions and failed. If this were fake they wouldn’t have failed they would’ve done it. And the patriarch is checked to ensure he has no lighter or anything like that. And He is chosen by God there was a miracle idk the details a few hundred years ago that showed exactly who could perform this miracle. I agree with you that there are many deceptive things in this world and that some ‘miracles’ are fake but I honestly don’t think this is one.. was wondering what you Believe in?
@@Jeff-xh8ilI believe people have a human right to believe what they want. I value the truth. I will never believe in holy fires that have some miraculous property described in this video. Why does the archbishop 'hide' inside before he comes out with his candles lit? Why not set up a camera and prove to all the faithful that this is a miracle? I just want the truth. How do we check if this is all true? Im sorry but this is an obvious fake. Im worried of the ridicule when the truth comes out. He could already have something inside that lights up the candles, even though he is searched beforehand. Experience does not lead to truth. Your feelings can be wrong. Im an athiest because my mind tells me there is no evidence of a higher power. But a good athiest.

I’d advise that and Ik this is rlly hard but if u ever get the chance go and experience it for ur self if the fire did burn u someone who went there would say it thousands would! And they don’t put a camera bc it’s a sacred thing no one knows what’s going on in there but him I find it hard to believe people have been faking something like this for thousands of years.
