  • So we've had this shed now for over a year and it's been a really good place to contain our mess as we do work on the house. However, I feel like we could slightly optimize it with a small amount of effort to get better use of the space left.
In this video I added a simple plywood shelving to one side of the wall, using standard shelving brackets from any home improvement outlet (in this case a dollar store). I used the vertical 'studs' to mount the brackets. I discovered that the vertical 'studs' are metal-backed, or perhaps I had forgotten that to be the case.
I also added a plywood sheet on the adjacent wall, again screwing it into the vertical studs at the top, middle and bottom of the sheet. Nothing fancy, I just used screws to hang my tools, this was sort of the fun part, like solving a puzzle!
Then, I addressed the most annoying problem - the flapping shed doors. I installed a pair of hook and eyelet to each side of the doors and external walls of the shed, and now it holds the doors open while I work away in the shed.
Not in the video - there's a magnetic led work light that we attach to the metal roof structure, it's convenient for when we're in the shed in the dark.
We hope you found this helpful, we will probably make a review video in the future (I think over a year doesn't really cut it yet for longevity), but so far everything is in good order.
Thank you very much for watching!
