      Hi.Have you made full suspension version yet?
      May be an after market add on suspension? I'm working on it.Great scooter on very smooth surfaces.On rougher one it's like riding strait from HELL. Needs mouth guard!!!😮😢.
      I have a thick 1/2"extra layer of soft foam on the foot board.This reduces rough ride by ~70%!!!😊.
      Also on handle bar I have a thick jell sleeve to observe the nasty hand shaking!!!😂
      Love it now. That microwave beep/horn sound was a very bad idea idea!!! 😢.

    It looks like it just doesnt have enough power for longer trips (besides going cruising speeds for maximum range), but its a step above what i currently use. The one i use, the Swagtron 1, it cant even break 20mph and has 5 inch wheels. Each wipeout i had on that scooter was like a lesson on what not to do on an e scooter. But thats the thing: would i even want to consider buying a $1200 e scooter, or buy an even better one to mitigate all of the downsides of a lighter e scooter?
    I feel like in 5-10 years e scooters will get even more powerful in just as small of a package as an Unagi, but i dont wanna miss-out on a nifty sleek e scooter like what Unagi's putting out. Maybe ill see those models on facebook marketplace in 5-10 years, idk.

    i am a renter of the voyager model which is supposed to have the longer battery life and my problems with it are the awful quality control ive had to replace it three times in the last six months all for different issues including charging and steering and one of those replacements took them nearly a month there is also zero suspension so you can feel everything on the road my final issue is that its a thousand dollar scooter with a 20mph limit but it cant go up more than a 15% grade without needing to weave around and also the battery is comically small for the price range lasting only around 12 miles per charge however it is rentable which no other brand offers which is the biggest plus would reccomend for anyone who wants to try out scooters for one month and then move on to better scooters for those with a larger budget like the splach titan or emove cruiser or similar scooters for less money like the mosquito

    The only thing keeping me from getting unagi is ride quality aka lack of suspension. Half the country in the northern US would has the problem of cracked sidewalks and potholes due to cold winter and hot summer pavement expansion and contraction.

    11:45 why would a dual motor scooter pop a wheelie under acceleration... unless it was designed for abysmal effectiveness and practicality
    still... a 250w motor? maybe if you stand on the rear axle and hold the grips with some rope

    You probably don't want to use a friction brake that much. The handle brake also does regen charging and you can control the strength by softly pressing it. Using friction brake will wear out the already unreplaceable wheels.
    The only thing good about this scooter is the rental system. Else, it is a pain to ride.

      I've got two of these and they're great. If you're going over a lot of uneven ground they ride rough but that's a job for a different scooter anyways. This is a great around town scooter for errands and commuting (I use it for both including commuting in NYC)

    My unagi snapped in half in the second week I owned it. I weigh 204. So well within weight limit, just hit a large crack in the road and snap right in half!

      @Pulse_89 Před měsícem

      Major cap. Def not 204.

  • @mindgames11
    @mindgames11 Před měsícem

    unagi missed a huge design opportunity by not having folding handlebars in here.
    additionally there are some glaring mistakes such as them 'hyping the use of magnesium for the handlebars, which... great so 30% less weight than aluminum for a relatively small component.
    Then there's that stem pole made of carbon fiber instead of aluminum- questionable weight reduction. carbon fiber which while lighter and superior in some regards to aluminum is far less durable and if your scooter was standing upright and were to tip over and hit a rock or a curb the stem has a very decent chance of fracture with of course no hope to mend it.
