I just tried the travel mode in the car, it’s AWESOME!!!! IM GOING TO USE THIS ON ALL MY FUTURE VACATIONS (As a passenger). The screen would occasionally shake slightly the only significant issue is that when trying to click something with the controllers in travel mode it isn’t very stable making hard to select things at times
I used my phone hotspot when in the car was able to seamlessly watch CZcams on a massive movie screen in pass through while riding in the car with out any long loading times
I'm gonna turn on travel and pretend I'm an airplane like when I was a child. 😊

So what would be cool here is if they could mount cameras on the plane that would then link to the headsets (like on the nose) and people could "fly in" from inside the plane in VR. :)

Any news on B&S nomad modding? Ik Zarchiver works, but the problem is that you have to set it up everytime you shut down your quest, just asking if there is an easier way or a fix for zarchiver

I'm still stuck on update V64 and it won't let me update. Any chance you know why this is? I contacted meta support about it and they had "no information on it"
The updates "roll out" randomly so some people don't get them immediately. You can opt into the Public Test Channel which is supposed to give you early access to all new builds: www.meta.com/help/quest/articles/headsets-and-accessories/using-your-headset/quest-ptc/

I'm in Salem Oregon.
Just installed the V65 update and it seemed to have improved the passthrough quality. There is still graininess but it has been reduced and I can see the difference. Or is that just my imagination?
No you're seeing it. It also made everything a bit dimmer to help w the phone glare and stuff so you may notice that too depending on lighting

Jay Wow! GTA6 release date just dropped, Late q3 2025. If they would do a VR mod - mode right from launch. Now that would sell headsets of all types.

I'm always amazed when a company doesn't properly test new products they sell. BoboVR should have easily discovered that the controllers could slip out of their covers. Come on Bobo! Please companies, stop rushing products to market without thoroughly testing them, especially when people will test them for free, to give them feedback.

Besides we have laws in the US banned TVs,phones and even headphones from driver's view/use so who in their right mind would risk getting busted by heaving an MR devise on in current day?

I've always been really open with all of you and talked about this in random videos but here's a few reasons why this is different for a channel like us at our size:
-I run the channel different than most people would. Almost all money made from the channel goes right back into it: equipment, paying editor Jon, rental space now, and other costs.
-I'm very lucky to have a very supportive partner and her job covers our living costs so we don't need the channel money to survive, but we don't live lavishly either. We live in an apartment and share one corolla between the two of us.
-Most people would be trying to make enough from their channel to support themself or quit their 9-5 so I'm lucky to not have those things getting in my way of focusing on making videos for all of you.
-I also live in an area that isn't overly cheap but it's not like living in LA like a lot of CZcamsrs. Our new office space is $1500/month so it's not cheap but for the amount of space we're getting it's a great deal.
-CZcamsrs also get paid off total views and not subscribers so with 77K (which is a TON of people to me) we have a very dedicated core audience that watch most of our videos so we actually get more views per month than a lot of channels with much higher subscriber counts meaning we can afford to invest into the channel.
It's all these reasons above that I say (probably a bit too much lol) so many thank yous. I am living a life that a lot of people dream of between sharing my passion for VR and getting to see the future of it from the front lines. That's why we work hard to bring you quality content every single day because all of you deserve it for standing by me these near 5 years and supporting me every step of the way!
All that said though you're right, some channels with 1mil or many mil make RIDICULOUS amounts of money! That's why so many of them launch clothing brands, or products because they're trying to figure out how to invest all that money.
For us money is just a tool to make better videos for you and because of that I also turn down a many revenue forms that don't align with the channel or my values. For example we don't run mid roll ads on videos. Yt keeps telling me we'd get more ad revenue but as a CZcams viewer myself I HATE mid roll ads that break up a video so I purposely turned them off on videos. It's the same thing with sponsorships. We get a lot of offers but I only accept the few that match our audiences interests and are for things I think can help in the space. We've done well all these years sticking to those feelings so I don't see changing it anytime soon.
