The accent that he currently uses is most likely an exagerrated accent for comedic effect. He's African yet his accent sounds almost like an Indian accent. A lot of comedians do this sort of thing (Larry the Cable Guy, Lavell Crawford).

Itâs not all that subtle people will just not say anything, but you still got your staples, police will assume stuff, itâs harder to get loans or just move up in life. All the basics are still there, youâre more likely to hear racist stuff from mostly older folk. I mostly remember my grandparents saying some stuff I thought sounded pretty racist, mostly just ignorant but still racist. I really donât think you can call it subtle though, itâs there if you pay attention itâs just people will likely not call attention to it. Unless itâs people talking about reserved slots to get into university then they are just openly racist either saying itâs unfair that universities will reserve slots for black students or saying that itâs racist because they are being considered for the slot because they are black. Anyways itâs not any more than the UK Iâd say

@@kushagrasonkar Well, from what I read somewhere and from other's comments years ago, it was because gingers were minorities which was considered rare and you know how thousands of years ago, gingers were accused as being witches or witch decendants.
I mean, even the actor who acted as Merlin in the british series joked around about burning gingers (as in burning the witch, because that is what people used to do back then - they hunt witches and burn them) during breaktime. He has dark humor btw.
